While the building may look a little run down, the office itself is very clean and organized. The gals at the front desk are incredibly friendly and helpful. Carly was my hygienist who was very thorough with her cleaning and X-Rays. I had originally hoped to see Victoria as I feel a little more comfortable with female practitioners but David was genuinely interested in me, was warm and even noticed a few things about my teeth that other dentists hadn’t. This was my first visit to establish myself as a patient. I haven’t been to the dentist in about a year and a half and was glad to have found AP Dental care. The former dentist at this address retired recently, and chose Axelrod and Parver to succeed him, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I met Dr Parver at my check-up, and she was personable, gentle, and open to dealing with my questions in a realistic and reassuring way. On another occasion, when I called in after 5 days of increasing lower jaw pain, including 2 sleepless nights, and awakening with my jaw/face swollen, Dr Axelrod worked me into his schedule. He explained and showed the computerized xray which indicated the need for root canal tooth surgery because not only were the molar roots infected, so was the jaw bone! An immediate treatment was needed, especially since this was the last day of the work week. He consulted the scheduling expert, and realized that he could do the procedure between routine dental checkups that very day. My pain was so exquisite that the usual numbing meds didn’t do the trick; however, Dr Axelrod is also trained and experienced in meds and some procedures which usually require referral to a specialist. He injected my pain nerves with the higher level anesthesia. He was able to drill a 3 mm opening into the top of my tooth, and clean out all the infection/debris, and replace that with antibiotic into the 4 canals and jaw bone infection. He uses microscopic lenses on eye glasses and tiny tools. I survived, gratefully, and went home to start healing. I will recommend Drs Parver and Axelrod to anyone who wants a pair of dentists to fill the needs of everyone in the family. Thank you, Drs A&P!

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR

Dr. Victoria Parver hails from Washington DC and received a B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. As a proud Army wife, Dr. Parver then moved to Texas where she completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at New York University Lutheran in Waco, Texas. She gained extensive experience in treating patients of all ages and spent two years caring for children and families in a pediatric clinic in rural Texas. A general dental practice in suburban Maryland followed, due to another Army relocation. More recently, Dr. Parver has cared for elderly and disabled patients in nursing homes around Colorado. She believes in providing gentle, personalized care to patients in a comfortable and supportive environment. She knows that communication and trust are essential to a good relationship and realizes her patients’ concerns and objectives are of the utmost importance. Dr. Parver believes that continuing education is fundamental in an ever-changing field. She attends frequent dental seminars and conferences to stay current with her profession. Outside of dentistry, she is happiest creating culinary delights in the kitchen and exploring the Colorado outdoors with her husband, David.
