Dr Jones and the staff at Arctic Smiles are the best. The practice is so efficiently and smartly run so that there is never any wait. Dr Jones is experienced, knowledgeable, personable and kind and his staff are the same. We like that he waits for the best time to start treatment to minimize the amount of time braces need to be worn. The office decor is themed according to its name and is very fun! My 5 year old daughter loves the office decor and considers it a treat to come along for her older sister’s appointments. Highly recommended!

We love Artic Smile. Friendly staff and always on time. We never have to wait more than 5 minutes. The assistants are always prepared and knows each of their patients as well as Dr Jones. A very over the top theme when you walk in that makes you forget you about to get braces. Lol. Seriously though, a fun theme to walk into. The place was clean and Dr. Jones had a great personality. We were referred there and they offered an honest and doable plan on being practice with little teeth issues to avoid major issues getting older. We appreciated their honesty and care and will be moving forward with their expertise.

One of the best offices I have been to! Dr. Jones and his staff treat you like family. They are all very well educated, and make sure that you understand the treatment that you or your child have received at each appointment. The schedule is very accommodating, which is hard to find with many offices. Our family moved here one year ago while our oldest daughter still had her braces on. We were very concerned about keeping up her treatment since she was close to getting them removed. Not only did they take over without hesitation, but they took the time to meet with us prior to her first appointment. Now our daughter’s teeth are perfect and our son is underway. Dr. Richard Jones and our Arctic team offer advanced orthodontics in a relaxed, caring atmosphere. Our team philosophy is to treat our patients like our own family. We strive to make every visit more comfortable while providing a healthier, more attractive smile, whether you’re interested in traditional metal braces, clear braces, or Invisalign®! Dr. Jones holds a B.A. from DePauw University in 1989, and a Doctorate in Dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1993. He completed an orthodontic residency at the University of Minnesota in 1995. His graduate-level orthodontic research was conducted at the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Jones was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and has presented award-winning research in Boston and St. Louis. He has also been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and featured in newspaper and television stories for his expertise in orthodontics. Dr. Jones hones his clinical, customer service, and people skills by attending local dental study clubs, as well as state and national meetings endorsed by the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association throughout the year. While Dr. Jones is away from the COOLEST place for braces in Scottsdale, he spends time with his fiancée Maria and their five teenagers. They enjoy traveling, hiking, and the company of friends. They also have two dogs: Sam and Sadie. As a former college football player at DePauw, Dr. Jones still loves cheering on his Bears, Colts, and Cardinals. When he’s not attending his kids’ sporting events, you might spot him on Pinnacle Peak, the tennis courts, or even at the Phoenix Comic Con! “I love coming to work every day and having the opportunity to interact with my patients.
