Dr. Khalil and his team are the epitome of excellent dental care. Everyone from the receptionists to assistants to doctors are kind, passionate, and professional. The facility is immaculate, as well as being conveniently located in an area with loads of street parking. The wait time is minimal, if not non-existent. Couldn’t be happier with the service they provide!

My first experience with Arlington Dentistry by Design began with a phone call to make an appointment. The welcoming voice of “Shelia” inquiring about the purpose of my visit set the tone for patient services where I truly feel like an honored guest. Each and every reminder call continues with the same cheerful, personal demeanor. Each member of this team of professionals exude a caring, positive outlook and immediate attention to every detail. They interact with a helpful and respectful attitude towards each other and you, their patient. I especially appreciate the time given to explain who is going to assist with whatever procedure is going to occur and what to expect. Being rather anxious, I know I ask an abundance of questions every visit. Patience and detailed responses flow ~ along with words of praise and confidence for their fellow assistants, hygienists and especially Dr. Khalil. It is obvious that all staff are carefully selected for their knowledge, skill ability, people skills and patient relations. My initial visit was to secure a” “second opinion” from Dr. Khalil on an unsuccessful root canal/ crown which resulted in a year long process for dental implant and crown (also unsuccessful). I came to him with a completely defeated mindset and fearful of just about every dentist. Dr. Khalil thoroughly evaluated my situation with his exceptional background knowledge and experience. (Just do a google search….astonishing credentials!) I felt hope! He uses state of the art equipment. Dr. Khalil is clearly on the cutting edge using effective procedures, technological practices and committed to EXCELLENT results. He is focused on patient comfort and well being as he meticulously treats and problem solves the “tooth”. He is incredibly skilled and I must say artistic. Dr. Khalil is transforming my mishaps…I trust him completely! I am proud to smile again, not embarrassed!

I’ve been coming to this dental office for over five years.  They are very professional and friendly as well.  Top notch service.  When I’ve lost paperwork for insurance reimbursements they’ve gotten it to me the same day, even if the appointment was months before.  I highly recommed Dr. Khalil and will continue to see him for years.

I’ve been going to Joe Khalil’s office for years, but since I’ve just had two “advanced” procedures, I thought I’d post about them. First, I went through the Invisalign process. Dr. Khalil is in the top 1% of Invisalign providers (does more of it than almost any other practice nationally). They did a great job on my smile. Note: the whole process can sometimes take longer than the initial estimate (it’s just an estimate), but for me it was well worth it. The staff took great care of me and made several helpful modifications along the way. Second, I just started the implant process on a tooth I lost long ago. I was very nervous about the extraction and implant process and the staff took the time to explain everything carefully. The actual procedure was smooth, and Dr. Khalil is a master of dental surgery. I’m glad to have finally gotten this done as well. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful, and Drs. Khalil and Cho run an amazing office. Super professional, but also fun and kind. Highly recommended!!

Every hygienist that has worked on my teeth over the last 10 years or so has been top rate. They are all very friendly and nice to be with. The facilities are outstanding. The dentists are friendly and capable. The location is very convenient. When I needed root canal repair, I was referred to the best. When I had sleep apnea, the dentist offered to have a devise made with no charge for his services. That level of concern for patients is hard to beat.

I legitimately hadn’t been to the dentist in years before I started going here. Always had excuses, dental hygiene was already good, etc…. Since I started going to Arlington Dentistry by Design, I haven’t missed a single appointment/six-month checkup etc… Love the crew here. Always on time. Always very friendly. And always very good at explaining things that need to be explained. Never thought I’d write a review of a dentist’s office, but here I am… giving this crew 5 stars… And happy to do so.

Today I just had a root canal.  A would’ve been terrible experience was a very good one.  At no point in the whole procedure did I feel any pain.  And after the numbness still no pain.  This is why, along with being a great dentist and having great support staff, is why I have decided to write my first yelp review.  Dr Khalil is without a doubt one of the best dentist I have ever encountered.  He is friendly, personable, and leads you step by step explaining the procedure.  Sophia the dental technician was also superb — she has a zest for life and work and balances the two with a very caring persona.  I went from the worst dental experience at another DC dentist to the best.  I am very grateful and will return for many years to come.  I have found my Dentist Office!

The first time I came to this office, it was for my 4 year old son’s first check-up. This practice doesn’t specialize in kids, but really, a pediatric dental office just has more tvs, right? Anyway, I was hoping that my son would be ok and not only was my son excited about seeing the dentist, but the staff was really good about talking to him and explaining what they were doing and what they needed to do. Dr. Khalil really took the time to talk to me about my son’s teeth and answered my questions, which was great since this was my first ever appointment as a parent and not a patient. After that, I made appointments for myself and my husband. We found our new family dentist — yay! I switched dentists because I moved and while I liked my last dentist just fine, it’s the little details at Dr. Khalil’s office that make the difference, like the difference between Macy’s and Nordstroms. Macy’s is nice but Nordstroms is NICER. For example, at my last dentist’s office, the office was clean and the staff was professional but every time I went for my cleaning and I got my little bag of toothpaste and toothbrush, they never gave me floss. I would ask for it and every time I was told that they ran out or they never received any. That really annoyed me. Seriously, how hard is it for a dentist to have floss? Here, I’m pretty sure Dr. Khalil’s office would never run out of anything since they seem to run a pretty tight ship. Everyone and everything about the office is super professional and super clean. Before my appointment, I got multiple reminders via text message and email, which was nice. When I arrived for my morning appointment, the receptionist wasn’t at the desk (staff meeting) but when she came out, she was offering people water and checking them in. Nice! The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth took the time to tell me how I could take better care of my teeth and my cleaning was pretty painless. I’ve only seen Dr. Khalil (knowledgeable, friendly) but my husband’s seen Dr. Cho and gives him 2 thumbs up, too. Also, I’ve only had dental cleanings so I can’t comment on more complicated procedures. bottom line: the office is pretty deluxe. the staff is professional. dr. khalil knows his stuff and has great bedside manner (or whatever kind of manner that dentists have.) highly recommend for adults and kids!

A very kind and intelligent man. We had a great conversation on health and fitness and also talked about positive things. I highly recommend Dr Khalil! Overall great man!

This practice is awesome. The entire staff is SO nice and welcoming and the office is sparkling clean. I have a ton of issues with my teeth – implants, root canals, etc., and Dr Khalil was understanding, patient, and gentle, yet thorough. He quickly helped me fix an immediate issue, and also diagnosed an underlying issue so it didn’t happen again. I highly recommend this group to anyone looking for high quality service all-around!!!

This is the best dental practice I’ve been to, and I’ve had the misfortune of being to quite a few. I called with some jaw pain, and Dr. Khalil was able to see me a couple of days later. He recommended a night guard, and didn’t pressure me at all to get one custom made (very $$$), saying I could try an over-the-counter one first if I wanted. I opted to just go for the custom, and he offered to let me pay for it over 3 months. Perfect. Everyone on staff is really friendly and helpful, the waiting area is very nice, and the wait time is short. I look forward to making Dr. Khalil my regular dentist going forward. I’ve also seen Dr. Cho, who is also excellent. He performed a root canal and an apicoectomy on me, and I had total confidence in his work. He made me feel very comfortable with the procedures, despite my anxiety about them. I would recommend this practice to anyone I know.
