I am not a fan of opening my mouth for extended periods of time unless I am eating or telling someone off. This makes me a bad patient at the dentist’s office. I usually walk in with an attitude as well, because in my opinion, everyone that works in the dentist’s office is in on the plan to make me suffer that day… surely they enjoy it. Dr. Huynh’s staff is insistently cheerful, and not in a manufactured way. They are kind, patient, generous and will work with your nervous self. There is never an unsmiling face among them. The assistants are superkind, and have a great sense of humor. They even allowed me to choose a flavor from the kids’ stash when they were cleaning my teeth. How cool is that? And last, but not least, Dr. Huynh couldn’t be more gentle. He reads your expressions and body language, and if he sees the slightest tensing, he stops and checks to make sure you’re alright. No comfort is spared for patients. There is mouthwash in every operartory. They think of EVERYTHING. And Dr. H wasn’t even mad when I was playing with the water shooter thingie and shot myself in the legs just before he came in. Good people, and my teeth are very happy.

i’m very happy with the service at Art Dental.  I came there because one of my friends suggested me to try them out.  I personally believe the work of Dr. Huynh is outstanding.  I needed the cosmetic crown and fillings.  He recommended me what type of crowns and how he was going to achieve the esthetic result.  He did what he said.  And I am now his routine patient.  Thank you for the hard work of the team and the doctor.

I usually don’t have much experience about taking care of my teeth. However, after a couple of visits the Art Dental Centre, my knowledge about having good teeth is wider. I realize the importance of the strong teeth, how nice to have a beautiful smile with bright neath teeth. With all of these learning, I’d like to thank Dr Huynh and his staff. Appreciate the experience as a patient at Art Dental. Dr. Huynh takes the time to establish a good relationship with his patients. When he notices something, he provides the patient with options in order to help them make a decision they are comfortable with, without pressure. Only feedback would be greater transparency regarding certain services, such as taking of x-rays. I am not used to having many x-rays taken on a frequent basis, and I imagine other patients feel similarly. Dental assistants could also smile more and be more amicable 🙂

I came to Art Dental a few years ago in hope to get braces. Dr Huynh was able to take me on as a client and made the process look so easy! Over the course of 18-19 months he and his team were able to make each visit welcoming, professional and timely. He also would take time to chat and get to know me. Developing a great rapport between us. I recently had my braces taken off and I am super happy about the results! I couldn’t be more excited and pleased with my smile, Dr Huynh and his team, and level of care they took into making this a possibility. If you are looking to have a perfect smile, or just a quick cleaning I highly recommend checking out Art Dental!

The feeling of having to see a dentist has always scared me ever since I was a child. I don’t like anyone touching my mouth. I just could not stand it. However, the office staff and the doctor-Dr.Huynh made it easy for me to accept the treatment and got the treatment done on the same visit. I cancelled on them at least twice before I made myself comming to the office without appointment. My tooth was really borthering me therefore I had to go see somebody. It turned out that I needed a “deep cleaning”. My goodness, I thought I would have to cry to get the treatment done, however, the assistant Scarlet and Dr. Huynh did a great job to calm me down. I have to agree with the other for previous comments. Just appreciated how they care for you.

This is a unique dental office. It’s not a huge office but very well maintanced. The staff seemed to be extremely focus and care-oriented. The dentist can offer you several options about your treatment plan. The reason is he got excellent school backgrounds and advanced training. I came here with a broken front tooth. I thought I would be ended up having it removed and wearing some source of denture. However, he explained me about several ways of saving this tooth as well as an implant option. I ended having him do root canal and saved my tooth. His injection was very careful and light discomfort. I like his gentle skill and distracting technique if you were to be a nervous and anxious patient. A couple hours appointment with several procedures accomplished seemed to be amazing to me. I am quite impressed with them.

It was my first time comming here for a quick consultation about implant vs bridge. The doctor was very kind and gentle. He evaluated my situation and recomended all options for me.. If I have money, I would go for the implant. The way he explained sound like implant was the best option if you are a healthy and non-smoker. I told him I would come back and get implant once I change to PPO insurance. His staff was very nice and sweet. I believe the doctor demonstrated his longterm experience and compassion.

I’m writing this to describe my implant experience with Art Dental in El Cerrito. I waited several months after getting my new implant (a molar) to make this review. The implant took several months to complete. A screw-like cap is first inserted into your gums – this is basically the implant and this will hold the abutment which will eventually hold the crown. The implant took a few months to heal. Afterwards the doctor checked if my body accepted the implant (it did) and then molded the crown. A couple weeks later the abutment was attached to the implant, and crown was installed onto the abutment and I had a new tooth. I was worried I’d ‘feel’ a foreign object in my mouth, but I didn’t. I don’t. The tooth feel 100% natural. Just make sure your crown is ‘seated’ properly against your other teeth, just like you would for any other crown. If something feels strange, too high/too low, any grinding, etc, let the doctor know, he’ll fix it. The only complaint I have is for the insurance company. The implant was covered. The crown was covered. However, the abutment was not. This doesn’t make any sense. The abutment is what holds the implant and crown together. So that was about $300-something. That’s not a complaint about the doctor or his staff. That’s the insurance company doing what insurance companies do. As for the doctor, I rate him highly. He’s very good and knows what he’s doing and knows the most up-to-date techniques. I’ve been his patient for almost ten years and I know he continues to advance his knowledge. So if you need an implant or are thinking about getting one, I can recommend this practice. They’ve taken very good care of my teeth.

When I went to see Dr. Loc Huynh about 6 months ago, I had many problems – pain, missing front tooth, and row of not well taken care of teeth. Dr. Huynh took his time to know me and understand what I wanted to do. After step by step treatment plan, I now have pain free new set of teeth with nice smile. Considering his unique personality, knowledge, and skills, it seems like being a dentist is Dr. Huynh’s life’s calling and I felt lucky to have him as a dentist. After all, “Every calling is great when greatly pursued.” Not only he taught me what I need to do to take care of my teeth, but I was also able to learn many life changing lessons for overall better health. I found the doctor and the entire staff at Art Dental to be very courteous and helpful. They are professional and show the care and attention needed to take care of their patients. I did not find anything to criticize, and they are way much better than the other dental centers I visited over the years. Most of all, what I found to be convenient and worth choosing this center is the fact that the doctor is able to take care of ALL dental needs in the office, right there. No referral or being sent outside of the office to another endodontist for root canal or oral surgery to remove a tooth if necessary. It is my understanding the doctor does implants as well. I highly appreciated the fact that I did not have to go around for different specialized works that most general dentists don’t perform, and all the work that needed to be done was finished right there in the office right away. That saved me a lot of time, energy, and headache. The negative reviews did not sit well with me, personally. They open their doors for business. Therefore, I firmly believe if someone visits them with an open mind to listen to the doctor and work with the staff, this includes willingness to take care of invoices properly, then I don’t believe anybody would have a problem. I highly recommend this office to anyone who wants to get excellent dental care.
