I had a dental exam and cleaning today. As always both Dr. Kristallis (“Dr. K”) and Ann (the Receptionist) were awesome. They really care about their patients, have worked together a long time, and are very friendly and pleasant. Dr. K has a great bedside manner (very calming). Today I watched a video of the ocean while I was in the chair! He also has a special air filter right next to you to prevent COVID-19 and follows all of the protocols to keep us safe. Ann knows everything about insurance, etc. which makes life so much easier! Highly recommend!

I couldn’t find Alpha Dental on here but went to the same practice and saw Dr. Hussein.  Dr. Hussein, the hygienist (Claudia), and Ann (front desk), were all so nice and made me feel comfortable right away.  Dr. Hussein knew right off the bat that I grind my teeth.  Because of that, I ended up having two fillings and that went seamlessly.  I’m new to the area and couldn’t be happier finding Dr. Hussein.  He explained things in detail that my previous dentist did not.  I go back in two weeks to make sure my night guard fits properly.  I highly recommend this practice!

I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist– full on anxiety attacks just when I go for a cleaning. I have had a lot of dentists that were not understanding and made me feel ashamed for my anxiety and many hurt me during the cleaning (complete with bleeding gums), which just made me have more anxiety.  Enter Dr Kristallis. He is a god send. When I made my appointment I told them that I had anxiety and they were very accommodating.  I could tell that Dr Kristallis had been told about my anxiety before my appointment because he was SO gentle and kind and kept asking if I needed a break. I have never felt so comfortable with a dentist. He cleaned my teeth himself, and when he saw that the cleaning machines (or whatever they are called) made me nervous, he opted to do most of the cleaning by hand.  I can not recommend him enough.  He is the most amazing and kind dentist!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Kristallis, Claudia and Ann. Having had some terrible experiences with dentists in DC, I was apprehensive to try again. I also hate going to the dentist but the team at Alpha Dental is amazing. They cater to your concerns and issues (like gagging). I’ve never had a dental team that was so focused on my needs and better yet they do a great job! Claudia is gentile and gives you a great cleaning. Dr. Kristallis is very personable. He’s great to talk to and he doesn’t try to suggest treatments that you don’t need. Overall, great bedside manner. Their location is unmatched because they are located off Farragut Square on 17th. It’s metro accessible and in my case a short walk from the office. I highly recommend Dr. Kristallis to anyone, whether you like going to the dentist or not.

I actually look forward coming here to see the dentist. Dr. Kristallis and Ann are wonderful. I even found my routine teeth cleaning relaxing. Given the pandemic, the office has implemented new procedures and I felt totally safe and secure. They limit the number of patients and everything looked sparkling clean, even the pens are disinfected. I recommended this place to one of my coworkers and she likes coming here too. This office is conveniently located near the Dupont Circle metro station.

This appointment was for cavity fillings on 3 teeth. As usual, I was seen on time and I was out in a little over an hour. Doctor did a grear job. My teeth feel natural as if I did not get any fillings. Dr. Kristallis is an excellent dentist. I have been going to him since 2008. I have recommended him to several coworkers and they have all told me that they have had good experience with their visit. His appointments always run on time. I have never had to wait to be seen. My teeth cleanings are in and out. He does an excellent job with tooth fillings. His assistant Anne is excellent as well. She knows the insurance ins and outs and is always pleasant and upbeat. I have been going to Terry for about 5 years now and am sad to be leaving DC! I know a lot of people don’t like going to the dentist, but he is by far my favorite doctor I have in DC. He truly cares about his patients and all that is has happened with COVID is evidenced by that. I was nervous for my appointment a couple weeks ago, but Terry had thought of everything and followed all the CDC regulations for reopening. I was the only person in the office for my appointment apart from Ann (the office manager), the hygienist, and Terry. Everyone had PPE and he used a UV ray tool that also sucked up particles during my cleaning. He even did the cleaning himself. Ann the office manager is always on top of it and does her homework on your insurance. Can’t recommend Terry enough – he truly cares about all of his patients.

Dr. Kristallis may be the best dentist in town. He is extremely gentle, he doesn’t lecture you, his delivery of novocaine is painless, and he is a craftsman as he works on you. I can’t recommend him enough. The receptionist is excellent as well. The waiting area looks a bit out of date, but Dr. Kristallis’ ‘studio’ is completely up-to-date. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I have not gotten my teeth cleaned here, so I can’t speak for that experience, but to me, the dentist and my experience in his chair is the most important of all.

Dr. Kristallis is hands down the nicest dentist I’ve ever visited. Very courteous and polite and cares about his patients. Are you still seeing a dentist who leaves your mouth bloody and gums throbbing? Abandon the Dark Side and book your cleaning with Dr. Kristallis! He has the most gentle touch, even as he’s scraping tartar below your gum line. I’ve seen him twice for the standard x-rays and cleanings, and both times I almost fell asleep in the dentist chair. I’ve had pedicures that were more painful than my dental visits with Dr. Kristallis. He has a calm, friendly demeanor that sets you at ease during your visit. I also have to give a shout-out to his office manager, who helped me figure out my dental insurance and is a delight to interact with. Finally, the office also uses modern technology which allows you to confirm appointments online and sends reminders via text. Thank you Dr. Kristallis for making dentist visits pleasant rather something I dread.

Dr. Kristallis and his team are the best! I have been coming to Dr. Kristallis for several years now and he and his office manager, Ann, are always so wonderful and helpful. This did not stop even in a pandemic! Arte dental took all the precautions possible to keep their team and patients safe. When I initially called to book, Ann asked me some screening questions to make sure I had not been traveling recently, symptomatic, or exposed to someone with COVID-19. A couple days before the appointment, I received a form to fill out to screen further before the appointment and when I arrived Ann took my temperature with a forehead thermometer. Everyone in the office was masked up and they even had some extra special equipment to absorb the aerosols created during cleanings. As always, Dr. Kristallis’s gentle touch and friendliness made what could have been an uncomfortable experience almost pleasant. In his new office, each exam room has a television also with scenic or cute videos playing. Yesterday’s videos were puppies and other animals – lucky me! Over the years, Ann has also helped me when my insurance company had billing issues (more than once!!). She went above and beyond to help out rather than leave me to handle issues on my own. I cannot recommend Dr. Kristallis and his team highly enough. If you are looking for a dentist in the DMV, look no further!

Truly am so thankful I found Dr. Kristallis. After a terrible experience with another downtown DC dentist (who wanted to do quite a few dental procedures that seemed fishy), I went to Dr. Kristallis for a second opinion. Ann, his secretary, is fantastic. She knows her stuff and is ultra friendly. She handled all of the insurance and billing and I had no problem with this. Dr. Kristallis’s office was very clean and welcoming. I really liked the hygenist and she was quite gentle, which I appreciated. Dr. Kristallis himself is great! I find that most dentists are quite rushed, but he stopped and talked and I did not feel that he was in a rush to go see the next patient. Furthermore, I was cavity and problem free- the opposite of what I had heard from the previous dentist. I appreciated that he did not try to do non-necessary services to earn an extra buck. Dr. Kristallis & staff are just fabulous. I have recommended them to multiple friends. I have yet to leave a dentist actually smiling and happy…. But I did with Dr. Kristallis. I’ll be looking forward to my next cleaning!

I just had a cleaning with Dr. Kristallis this morning (his hygienist was out). It was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had at a dentist office! I did all of my paperwork online. So when I arrived, I signed a quick form and waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. I was whisked back, had the most gentle cleaning, booked my next cleaning, and was back at work all within an hour. No cut lips, no painful prodding/pulling around my gum line. Wow!! I was told by another dentist I needed to order an expensive mouthguard. Dr. Kristallis looked at my teeth and gave his honest opinion – an expensive mouthguard was unnecessary. It was refreshing to leave the dentist without trying to be up-sold/up-charged for things I didn’t need!

My experience with this office was wonderful! I went for a regular cleaning. The receptionist, Ann, was personable and very helpful, and the office seems very efficient.
