I tell everyone I know about Dr. Francisco Kim. He has “magic hands.” I went to get my two teeth bonded since they have been causing me pain for the past 3 years. I seem to grind my teeth when I sleep which may have caused the top of my gums to erode away from my teeth. Since then, my teeth have become sensitive to cold and sweet foods and beverages. Even brushing around those teeth was painful — just putting a chocolate bar in my mouth made my teeth hurt. After Dr. Kim treated my teeth I can eat and drink ice cold beverages without any problems. I can eat sweets without wincing. I haven’t been able to eat with the right side of my mouth for 12 years. Now I can use both sides of my mouth to chew!!*****SO WHAT DID DR. KIM DO THAT WAS SO SPECIAL!!!!!??? EVERYTHING – HE HAS MAGIC HANDS!!!!***He injected novocaine so gently into my gums that all I felt was a slight pinch in my gums. In order to do the bonding, he had to scrape away at my teeth and touch that sensitive gum area but I DID NOT feel pain !!!! Dr. Kim also had to scale the plaque off my grill. I usually cry my eyes out when other dentists scale my teeth. Past dentists have made it hurt so much that I never ever wanted to step foot in a dental office again. But, I trusted Dr. Kim so much I told him he could do the DEEP SCALING I put off for nearly 2 years, which is putting that pointy hook tool they scratch away with, way inside and under your gums, due to severe plaque build up. Dr. Kim injected some more novocaine without causing me pain and he dug right into my gums. As Dr. Kim was digging deep into my gums the pain was nearly non-existent, I smiled because the feeling was ever so slight. I couldn’t believe it! I CAN’T WAIT TO GO TO MY NEXT APPOINTMENT TO SCALE MY TEETH! That is how much it didn’t hurt — for the first time in my life. AND… Dr. Kim and his assistant Marlene, forgive me if I got her name wrong, make a great team. I didn’t have to ask once for anyone to put the suction tool in my mouth for fear of saliva running down my chin. Marlene knew exactly when I needed suction for that. I hate it when I have to ask for suction because of too much saliva accumulation. And the soft music they play in the background is so calming, especially for a big dental phobic like me. I live almost 30 miles away from this dentist but I will gladly drive 30 miles away just to get to this professional, caring, magic-handed dentist. This is the first time in my life where I can say, I can’t wait to go back to the dentist! I’m so glad I came here!!! I recommend my entire family come here. I trust this dentist that much! And Linda, their receptionist, if you’re out there, thank you for being so sweet!

Artistry Dental is the place I recommend! The staffs are very welcoming once you enter the clinic. Dr. Kim is so caring and he explains your treatment plan step by step. Also, like some doctors who wants to do treatments as much as possible that aren’t that urgent, Dr. Kim lets me know which ones are urgent and must be done or it’ll be worst first, then moves on. He also cleaned my teeth very thoroughly, it didn’t hurt at all like some doctors. My sister had deep cavities done by Dr. Kim and it was one of her back molars which was hard to work on, but still he made it clean, now food doesn’t get stuck. I saw the x ray that was taken after it was very clean. I can see how he wants to make sure how it turned out. My old doctor didn’t even check after my deep cavities. For my future treatments I’m coming to Dr. Kim cuz he makes me and my family feel like the work that needs to be done will be done! Plus he’s very funny!

Dr Kim is not my usual Dentist. I woke up with a swollen face and throbbing teeth! (Wisdom teeth) I live in the area.. So I called literally 30 minutes before my appointment asking if they would take me. They squeezed me in 20 minutes later! Dr Kim is awesome! I’ve never had a dentist that attentive in the past. He was very mindful of the little things that indicated any type of pain or discomfort! When he put the gel to numb me before the actual shot.. We started talking about American Idol and all of the hilarious people that go try out.. Before I knew it I was 2 numbing shots in.. And didn’t feel a thing! Totally distracted me on the DL! I’ve heard horrible things of getting your wisdom teeth pulled.. Thus me waiting for my face to almost explode before going in.. But that was not the case at all with Dr Kim. I’m seriously switching offices! And he’s like 20 minutes closer my house than my old dentist too.. His assistant was really good as well. Bottom line. Very modern, clean,professional office. Oh and he’s a USC alumni! Go Trojans!

I went to Dr. Kim’s office by a friend’s referral and I’m so glad that she made that referral!!!!! I have been to many dentists, but never really satisfied since many of them suggested procedures that weren’t even necessary when I got 2nd opinions. It’s so hard to find an honest dentist but Dr. Kim really knew what he was doing and made honest suggestions about my teeth. Additionally, I had my teeth cleaned and I was very pleasantly surprised!!!! I have been looking for a dentist who uses only his tools, not electrical, to clean my teeth. This is the good old fashion way where this procedure really goes deep in cleaning. Not many dentists do them by hands these days and I was so delighted that I finally found the dentist who does it. Dr. Kim is honest and really shows passion about his work and I highly recommend to everyone and anyone who are hesitant or afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Kim is an excellent dentist. He explains everything in great detail and takes great care to make sure the patient does not have any pain. He is very thorough. He takes great care in preventative care by performing the best teeth cleaning I have ever had by any dentist. He is very detail oriented and finds any plaque and scrapes it off. My gum health has improved significantly after going to him for over three years. He also replaced a crown for me two years ago which went very well.

Dr. Kim and his staff were very professional and amiable. It’s been long time since I went to Dentist, so I was scared that I might end up with lots of cavities. The reception was friendly and attentive. Right now, they are offering $49 for new patient which includes cleaning! I think it’s very good deal! Xray were taken for my tooth, I got basic exam check up and cleaning! Dr. Kim was very throughout during the whole exam experience and patiently told me what treatments I need it to get it done. Today was my first visit and I must say I am very pleased! The staff is very friendly and personable! Dr. Kim took the time to get to know me and hear my concerns, especially since my last dentist wasn’t so honest. After telling me that bad news that I had cavaties, he then went to take actual pictures of the teeth that had them to show me, which was nice because it gave me peace of mind! As I was getting my teeth cleaned he plays relaxing music in the background and periodically asked to make sure I was ok and wasn’t in any pain. Also he speaks fluent Spanish! A plus seeing my mother and father in law don’t speak English very well(I’ve already referred them!) I look forward to Future visits and hope that I’ve found my long term dentist!

For me to give five stars to a Dentist, you have to know I HATE DENTIST! I come from a life time of military dentist and dentist that did not care if they scared or hurt you. I am scared to go to dentist to say the least. When I met Dr. Kim he spoke to me and took the time to listen. He assured me he was not like that. It isn’t often you can say someone is that good, but for me to go back to him and even drive to Anaheim from Lakewood must say something. It isn’t about cost it is about caring, and showing the person you hear them and understand. Compassion is a lost art and I think Dr. Francisco Kim has shown there are still professionals in the world that have it. He is patient and takes his time and makes sure he is not hurting you . Dr Kim is a lifesaver. I’m a terrible night clencher/grinder especially during times when I’m stressed with work. Imagine how much my stress level peaked when I flossed out a piece of my chipped molar smack in the middle of my chaotic workday. I freaked out and contacted Dr Kim immediately. I know a couple hundred dentists, so it says a lot that I’d call him first. He squeezed me in to be seen the next day (today), and treated my tooth as conservatively as possible. He did an excellent job at numbing the whole half of my face with a single carpule of anesthetic (meaning he got it on the first shot)… In fact, I’m still super numb as I type! Furthermore, he took his time with the filling which is something I definitely appreciated. Lesson learned… I should really stop being a spaz and really start wearing my night guard. I found Artistry Dental through a Groupon deal. The deal was for an x-ray exam and teeth cleaning. Called to make an appointment and his assistant was really friendly. On the day of my appointment, I ran into traffic and his assistant called me to make sure I was fine and remind me of the appointment. Even though I was about 40 minutes late, she was still friendly and told me not to rush. When I got there the paperwork was real simple and within 5 minutes I was put into a room. The assistant took x-rays of my teeth and shortly after that Dr. Kim came in to check the x-rays and clean my teeth. The entire time they made me feel welcome and safe. Since it was a simple cleaning I didn’t need any numbing creme. Dr. Kim was talking to me throughout the entire cleaning process telling me what he was doing and why. I am used to getting my cleaning done with the electric needle (or whatever that thing is) but Dr. Kim cleans it with hand tools and only used the electric one for the big plaque build-ups. I had a lot of plaque build up and I rarely floss so he gave me some tips like using an electric toothbrush to help brush the back teeth. The cleaning process took less than 20-30 minutes, which was refreshing! I usually dread going to the dentist since I am used to waiting over 2 hours. Within those 30 minutes, both Dr. Kim and his assistant tried to get to know me better and it was nice since they’re both so friendly and they seem to care about their customers. The cleaning was done well. All my plaques were gone and best part, he didn’t make me bleed like some dentists who would accidentally hit my gums while cleaning. I made an appointment to come back for my cleaning for 6 months later. Definitely recommend Dr. Kim!

Dr. Francisco Kim was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He moved to the US at the age of 17 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene at the USC School of Dentistry. After practicing for several years as a dental hygienist, Dr. Kim went back to USC School of Dentistry and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. With over ten years of experience in the dental field, Dr. Kim has the skill and knowledge you need for quality results.
