I love this office. ( and I don’t like dentists!!!) Every single person in this office is kind, understanding and accommodating. I came in a recommendation of a friend and it’s the best decision I’ve made as far as my teeth. I have been embarrassed of my teeth in the past and never felt comfy going to the dentist. After my first visit I have had a different feeling and passion to visit the dentist regularly for cleanings and with all my needed work I will not hesitate to go. I’d highly recommend Atlas Dental if you’re in the market for a new dentist! I was looking for a dentist here in Pittsburgh and am so happy that I found them. The staff is very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The office is modernized and has some very high tech equipment readily available. As a new patient they walked me through the “results” of my x-rays that we took at the start of my appointment. To ensure that what they were seeing was accurate we even did another small “tooth cam” x-ray that was able to capture things that the normal x-rays was not able to. The hygienist even found some remaining cement that remained from my braces (over 7 years ago!). From what they told me they are able to everything from your normal dentistry, dentures, to your more advanced procedures etc. As a new patient I needed new x-rays before I could get my cleaning and they said I would need to schedule two separate appointments for those. Luckily there was a last minute opening and I was able to get them back to back. Otherwise it would have been annoying/inconvenient to have to go twice, especially with taking time from work. This would be the only thing I didn’t like- but I believe it would only apply to new patients in the case that the date they want doesn’t have two back to back slots. Overall I’m very happy with Atlas and will recommend it to friends and fellow yelpers.

Unfortunately I put off a lot of work that needed done due to fear/hatred of going the dentist. Atlas Dental truly makes the experience of going to the dentist pleasant!!! The staff from the front office to the doctors are amazing! I just finished a long implant procedure and I am 150% happy with the results. I urge anyone who has put off doing what they need to do to call their office now. There will be no unpleasant surprises (either with the work or the finance aspect). Thanks again to Atlas Dental.

This is the best dental office! The staff is friendly and courteous and always on time for my appointment. They are not pushy about needed dental services and work with my annual benefit maximum so I have a minimum out-of-pocket costs. I can’t say enough good things about Mara and the team at Atlas Dental Specialists. First of all, they are knowledgeable and explain everything that is going on with my mouth as they’re working. Mara teaches dentistry at Pitt, and they’re always working on advancing their own knowledge of dentistry, which I think says a lot about a professional. They are so genuine and friendly. Atlas Dental is wonderful. The entire staff is friendly and easy to get along with. I work right downtown so it is convenient for me to be able to go to the dentist during my lunch break. I’m smiling again. I am so happy I walked through the door of 1520 Park Building. It took me a long time to do it because I am — by my own admission — a big baby when it comes to going to the dentist. When I see the photos (yes photos) of my teeth from that first visit, I want to gag. Not only did she restore my teeth, she restored my smile. I will never switch dentists as long as she is practicing. Her staff, from Beverly, the receptionist, to Stacy, her technician, and every hygienest, are all so friendly and reassuring. They make me feel so special when I am there and, believe, I was there a lot! If you are in need of a dentist, and a smile, do not hesitate to call them. You will not be sorry!

I started going to Atlas dental last year when my old dental office closed and recommended this place. I did not have a good experience with the front desk on my first visit but decided to go back for my next visit anyway. The dental hygienist, Alice, is the most wonderful and kind hygienist I have ever come across. She was the reason I decided to give this place another shot after having a bad experience. She is very thorough and gentle when cleaning your teeth and explains evrything she is doing. After she is finished she gets the dentist who is also a very kind and knowledgeable man. I would definitely recommend this place and specifically Alice to future clients.

I have been a patient at Atlas Dental for a little less than a year and am a patient of Dr. Mara. I inquired as I wanted to close some gaps and refine my smile and Dr. Mara and Spencer for me all set up with Invisalign. These two together are the dream team! They have been exceptional and the service I receive every time I go in is top notch. They explain everything to me before any procedure and answer all my questions to make me feel comfortable! I go back on Thursday to receive my crown to complete my new smile and I cannot wait to see how it turns out!! The front office staff is amazing as well. Following a couple of bad experiences I avoided the dentist for longer (a few years) than anyone should! At the recommendation of a colleague — along with a push from my husband — I made an appointment with Atlas Dental. First of all, they were SO accommodating. My husband and I scheduled our first consultation at the same time which meant we had to take our 9-month-old with us! Everyone at the office welcomed all three of us with warmth and patience. As for my fears of the dental process…this was the first dentist that ever asked what I had hoped to get out of the experience. Before looking inside my mouth they took the time to get to know me. Dentistry and empathy. Perfect! And when they got to poking around inside my mouth the experience was the best dental experience I have ever had. It wasn’t until I became a patient at Atlas Dental that I fully realized what it meant to have faith in your dentist. The dental work is of the utmost highest quality work I have ever come across anywhere. They will examine you and be honest and forthright about your dental needs. They do not judge and understand that dental work can be expensive. They work with you even if it means waiting a bit to finish the project. It’s a team effort. Together, we made a plan of action and it took a while because even though I have insurance, I still had some out of pocket expenses. They were willing to go the distance with me no matter how long it took. The office staff are just fabulous. They are all very personable individuals and always want to know how I am when I get there. They are always willing to make sure you have the right appointment, answer any questions you have and provide excellent customer service. Every dental assistant & dental hygienist since I have been going there absolutely knows what they are doing and that gives me confidence that I chose the right place. By going to Atlas Dental, you are relaxed while in the chair and you do not have to worry that something will go wrong because you have a team of professionals in your corner. If you are sitting there reading this review because your tooth hurts and you need a dentist, look no further. Just pick up the phone. They don’t have to help you, they WANT to help you.

Today was my first experience with Atlas Dental and I am excited to say that I will definitely be going back! From the moment I arrived the staff was warm and welcoming. I knew ahead time that this visit would only be x-rays since it’s been a while since I’ve had them done and it was in a different state. Eve was upbeat when asking me questions about my dental history and then we got to talking about my upcoming wedding. I felt very comfortable tasking with everyone that I saw today. After my screening and having photos taken of all my teeth (so cool to see) I was told that they could fit me in with a cleaning that same day. I know this isn’t the norm but I was more than happy to not have to make a shirt follow up visit. As I was leaving after my cleaning, one of the receptionists noticed I didn’t have an umbrella and it was getting ready to rain. She graciously asked if I wanted one because they had some extras! Such a thoughtful group of people who deserve the excellent reviews they currently have!
