My visit to Avalon dental was the best I’ve ever had at a dental office.  I hate going to the dentist, yet I know how important it is to do your yearly check ups. I have been to different offices where I feel like I do not even understand what is going on. But today my examination was GREAT it was very thorough which is very important. Dr. Kelishadi was very kind and made me feel as if I had known her for years. She explained her examination and made me aware of what I needed done and the process perfectly. I then saw the hygienist who was super sweet and did an amazing job, cleaned my teeth very carefully without pain and bleeding. She took her time and made sure she got into every little crevice. She checked on me often to make sure I was tolerating the cleaning and made sure I was comfortable. Great experience for a dental visit. Let me not forget the front staff who was very kind and attentive as well. I will definitely make sure to visit this dental office as recommended. This office is very clean, equipment is clean, looks new, modern and above all the staff professional and catering.

We just wanted to take a few minutes, to tell you a little bit about our experiences. We have been going to Avalon Dental for years. Dr. Kelishadi is a wonderful dentist. She is very warm, and caring. She takes time to explain things, and discuss different options. She is a great dentist and knows what she is doing. We like the fact that she uses new technology. her staff is super great. Diane R, Jessica, Diane, Rocio, are wonderful. They are always there for us to answer any questions and help us with anything that we need to have done. We highly recommend Dr. Kelishadi and her staff. Thank you very much… Robert and Carol K.

I work in the same building and thought I’d ought to give this place a try. I work in the healthcare industry so I tend to be quite picky and have high expectations about my experience in other healthcare facilities. I’ll list out things I noticed. Very clean atmosphere with soothing music. Walls are light green to give a sense of calm. Glass doors separating the reception area vs the clinical side. Each workstation inside was separated by wooden walls/divideres as to not violate too many HIPAA laws. This is important to me. I hate sharing a space with another patient and having them overhear my health concerns and then see my face. High-Tech instruments with thorough explanation of its usage by the hygienist. Great smelling pomegranate tooth polish (that’s a new one for me). Eye shield so that the polish doesn’t get into your eyes when it’s being applied (my only concern is wondering whehter or not those eye shields get disinfected after use). Goodie bag on your way out full of dental fun! Dr. Kelishadi was very thorough and understanding when meeting with me. Carefully listened to me as I gave her the low-down on my dental history. Also told her cost was an issue for other procedures and she totally understood. Dr K prioritized which procedures could wait and which to start soon. Favi was great with going over financials – explained insurance benefits and out of pocket expenses. Very courteous when it came down to scheduling and helping making appts work for “me”. A little more pricier than other dentists I’ve been to. But have accepted ‘paying’ for better customer service if it means having more quality care and attention. Overall pleasant experience. The only thing I noticed was that when I walked in, no one was at the front desk. There was one other patient waiting there before me but no one asked if I had checked in or if I was there for anything in particular until Favi came in (since I originally scheduled with her and had been coordinating this whole event with her from start to finish). It wasn’t a huge ordeal, but I’ve learned that the #1 thing that patients hate is not knowing where they are in the process. Will refer my friends and relatives here!

I chose Dr. Kelishadi based on a friend’s recommendation. I had a tooth that had been hurting for over 2 months and I have been ignoring the pain. Finally, one day I couldn’t take it anymore and called .She saw me the same day, was warm, kind and thorough, explained everything and answered all my questions without rushing me, I knew I have a lot of work that I’ve been putting off and she didn’t make me feel bad about it. I told her money was an issue so she prioritized my treatment and told exactly what needs to be done now and what I could wait on. I felt she was very honest and genuine.

I tried Avalon Dental Care on referral from a friend. I was very impressed with Dr. Kelishadi, the staff and facilities. Over the course of the following year they helped me with a wide range of needs and issues, including everything from the usual cleanings, cavities/fillings and crown work, to repairing work done by my prior dentist and even a molar implant. From my perspective, everything about their office and care is top-notch.  The facilities are clean, modern comfortable and very well thought out (from the Keurig coffee, warm office colors, and background music, to the plush leather treatment chairs and smartly-placed treatment room display screens). The staff has always been friendly, professional, accommodating with my scheduling needs and sensitive to financial matters. Dr. Kelishadi epitomizes all of the qualities one seeks in an dentist – a caring, sweet personality, as well as a logical and patient approach to addressing one’s individual needs (during each treatment and from an overall care planning perspective). Most importantly, she is very sensitive to minimizing pain, has a gentle touch and has great pride and attention to detail in her work. All told, this is one of the best service providers I’ve known, who I completely trust to properly assess and address my dental care needs! Highly recommend!

Ok first let me say the staff here is amazing , I am a person that have had bad experiences with my past Dentist, but now I have found an amazing dentist Dr K is so gentle and explains detail she is great. When I say painless trust me , I am a cry baby when it comes to dental pain. I just want to say thank you to Dr K and her amazing friendly staff. I would and will recommend this office to everyone I know, you will not be disappointed you will love Dr K she is amazing.

Been looking for a dentist in the South Bay Area because I’ve put off getting my wisdom teeth removed for way too long.  Avalon Dental seemed to have pretty great reviews and is tucked away in a convenient location off Rosecrans. I was really pleasantly surprised at how much I love my first visit, every single person I came in contact with was super friendly and most of all helpful. I got some first time X-rays and filled out some paperwork that was very to-the-point. None of the paperwork was vague and the lovely ladies at the desk were happy to answer any questions I had and even made copies of things that I wanted to keep as reference. I felt very comfortable and welcomed at Avalon and I booked my wisdom teeth to be extracted without hesitation! I am a bit nervous to have actual work done but my gut tells me that I will be in good hands considering how pleasant my first visit was. Overall A+ for bedside manner, which personally, I find crucial right next to cleanliness when checking out something new. Also, the waiting room is not freezing like many dentists/doctors offices and they offer a Keurig while you wait.  Another woman waiting to be seen while I was there was working on her laptop and the receptionist even offered her a desk to work at while she waited. Superb customer service.

I have been waiting to write this review until all my dental work was completed but it’s now all done and can really speak of my experience. I love this dental office I am completely afraid of the dentist but I actually feel comfortable coming to get work done here. Dr.Kelishadi has very soft hands and hardly feel the shots and I would know since she did a root canal and 4 wisdom teeth extractions on me. The location is very clean and everyone that works here is friendly and always trying to make me feel comfortable. Eventho because of my job I get many offers from other dentists I wouldn’t change.

It was great. I loved the Hygienist that cleaned my teeth. They recommended some additional work since I had not seen a dentist in a long time. They are fast, efficient, and nice staff. The office and equipment is very nice and modern. I would recommend her and her staff to anyone that I come across looking for dental work.

I’ve had two very positive experiences with Dr. Kelishadi and her practice over the years. The first experience was about three years ago and one just this past week. Of course dental procedures are not “fun” in the scheme of things, but Dr. Kelishadi and her staff made me feel so welcome, supported, comforted, and taken care of that I was able to handle my circumstances and treatment with a remarkable amount of ease and confidence. The staff is incredibly nice and genuinely glad to be there. Dr. Kelishadi is an amazingly gentle dentist and she is absolutely clear in articulating diagnosis and treatment A to Z. I did not feel in the dark or unclear about my treatment in this office. The office and the waiting room is upbeat and relaxing. Both procedures I had were done expertly by Dr. Kelishadi and her assistant. While I am hoping not to have many (dare I say any?) of these dental procedures in the future, I can honestly say that the Dr. Kelishadi’s practice would be my first choice, should I need any.

As I got older, I had some missing teeth. This made eating incredibly uncomfortable. My family suggested that I go to dentist to help me with my teeth. At Avalon Dental Care, the dentist bridged the gap between my missing teeth. Now I eat as comfortable as if I didn’t have any teeth missing.

The best dental experience in my entire life. This dentist is so skilled that you do not even feel anything she does. She is the first dentist that was able to get full mouth impressions. In the past, with other dentists, I chocked and turned purple. She is so skilled that it is a miracle. I have so much confidence in her. The facility is so modern and immaculate. State-of-the-Art!!! I am sending all my numerous friends and people I know to see her and benefit too. Why suffer when you have someone like her.

At Avalon Dental I received wonderful service and attention on my first visit. It was refreshing to actually go to a dentist I could spend time with, have a real conversation, and get some honest answers about my cavities and dental care. I highly recommend this practice if anyone is looking for a great dentist and a genuine and attentive staff. Dr. K told me that I might have to get a root canal but told me my options and gave me a plan for the future. I haven’t had too many experiences where I really trusted the dentists I visited and felt like they weren’t just trying to get money out of me. I had my first fillings done and it was so easy. Finally I have found a dentist that I am not afraid to go to.

I recently moved to Manhattan Beach and went to see Dr Kelishadi because practically all my friends go to her. I had heard she is honest and caring.  I went in for a consultation for veneers.The office is super clean and modern and the staff are very professional and make you feel comfortable the minute you walk in. I am in the entertainment industry and it is important to have nice looking teeth in the pictures or at the events. She took a bunch of pictures of my teeth and showed me how putting veneers on my teeth would help even everything out. She showed me up close how thin the veneers were and how they have translucency and detail. I was a little hesitant at first to start anything but I am glad that I actually did it because the way they turned out is much more natural than I would have ever expected. I really feel like you can’t tell that they are veneers at all and I feel much more confident about my smile. I definitely feel like it was well worth it.

The assistants/hygienist were both very very friendly and very efficient. They were honest about my teeth and gave good advice. I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist for who knows what reason, so it definitely helps when the dentist is friendly, warm, and helps me relax. I don’t feel like Dr. Kelishadi was very personable or warm so I felt a little tense but she gave good feedback as well. The office is warm, friendly, clean, and uses top notch technology. I’ll definitely stick with it.

Doctor Kelishadi is the best dentist and surgeaon I’ve ever had. She’s the most knowledgeable and gentile.  She extracted my tooth, I had lost lots of bones in my jaw. She repaired by doing bone graft inorder to do implant. I just had a pain killer the next day and I had no pain. Her office is very clean and up to date, her staff are friendly and professional, especially Mirna and Amber were sweet and caring, Mirna explained my insurance benefits clearly and Amber calmed me throughout my surgery. I am looking forward to when I get my implant.

I have been coming to Avalon for several years now (which is saying a lot because I am terrified of dentist offices), but the experience I had last week really sealed the deal for me. I had an unbearable pain develop in one of my molars and had to go to a different dentist because of an insurance change. He first told me I was likely just clenching my teeth during sleep so prescribed me pain killers and sent me on my way. When the pain became worse over the next week, he told me he would need to extract the tooth right away. I felt something was off and immediately called Avalon to get a second opinion. I have always trusted and respected them and knew they would take care of me, and would be worth paying out of pocket (and driving all the way from Sherman Oaks) for. Diane, who has always been amazing to work with, answered all of my questions and found me room to come in the very next morning. Lo and behold, after a thorough analysis by Dr. Kelishadi, it was just an infection, and there was nothing wrong with my tooth itself, much less reason to extract it. After just TWO days of antibiotics I was able to stop taking pain killers and am feeling loads better. She patiently explained everything I needed to know in detail, and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I have referred countless friends and coworkers over the years who have had great experiences as well, but now I have a new reason- if you are ever in doubt, trust your gut, and get a second opinion from Dr. Kelishadi. She is truly an expert. I would’ve been toothless and out $4k if it weren’t for this office and their last minute accommodation, friendly staff, and consistently thorough and honest work. Thank you Diane and Dr. Kelishadi!!

Dr. K and her team were amazing to me and my cavities yesterday. As a person who is terrified of the dentist office; I would definitely recommend her expertise to family, friends and co workers. Dr. K also gave me suggestions on tips for sensitive teeth – Thank you for making it easy and painless. Parking tip: park in the parking garage across from Shake Shack, your ticket will be validated by the dental office.

Dr. K, and all of the staff – Fabiana, Lily and all dental hygienists I’ve seen – are amazingly professional and courteous and do a great, great job. They’ve helped me in the long-ish process waiting for veneers by putting in new temporary teeth 3 times and always have been super-responsive even though I know I must be their most needy patient ever! I wouldn’t think of going to another dentist!

I have been a patient going to Dr. K for over 5 years. She is the sweetest and relaxed dentist I have ever worked with.  I am delighted to give her my highest recommendation.  I’ve never been disappointed in any way throughout my visits. What I like about this office is the staff are efficient and friendly, the professionalism of how they treat you from the beginning to the end is what we want from our doctors office. You are treated well for sure at Avalon Dental.
