5 stars for Avenue Dental.  I’m never kept waiting which is important to me because my days are often very busy.  I also find the dental work to be some of the best – teeth cleanings are the best because the hygienist is very knowledgeable and gentle with her tools.  Dr. Pantzis is also incredible and has placed several crowns for me.

I have been going to Avenue Dental for a long time now. Dr. Pantzis always does her best to make sure the experience is painless as possible. For those looking for a good dentist who cares about her patients, this is the place to go. I am difficult with dental procedures she does her best to accommodate my difficulties. The entire staff also deserves 6 stars for the effort they have made during COVID. The place is sparkling clean and I feel as safe as can be.

Dr. Pantzis is amazing and incredible! I have been seeing her for years and recommend her to family, friends, coworkers, etc. Before seeing Dr. Pantzis, I used to have horrible anxiety of seeing a dentist, but not anymore, since I met her. Dr. Pantzis is beyond compassionate, friendly, and her bedside manner is the best I’ve ever seen in a doctor. I would recommend her to anyone. I was having horrible dental pain (during this terrible time of Coronavirus) and reached out to her and she responded instantaneously and gave me a peace of mind, being beyond helpful. I would recommend her to anyone a million times over and over again! She is truly one of a kind and truly cares about her patients! She is the best!

Moving to New York five years ago I was so wary of finding a new dentist.. I tried a couple of places and had no luck. By chance I made an appointment with Dr. Pantzis, and 5 years later I am still as pleased as I was on day one! She is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to, and I highly recommend her!

This was hands down the best dentist appointment I’ve ever had. Everything about my routine cleaning visit was great from the chair (which was a massage chair!) to the actual cleaning. Dr. Pantzis and the hygienist Jocelyn were friendly, thorough and professional. I’ve never had a more gentle hygienist and this was the first visit I’ve had in years where my gums did not bleed (and I still left feeling like my teeth were super clean). Dr. Pantzis was super knowledgeable and gave me a lot of great advice to keep my teeth healthy. I could not recommend this dentist office more.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST DENTIST IN NYC, DR. P. AND HER STAFF COULD ALL BE MODELS. Like most people, I loath going to the dentist, and actually avoided going for over 10 years, But Dr. Pantzis and her staff make me look forward to my next visit. The hygienist Jocelyn was so delicate with my cleaning that it felt more like q-tips in my mouth instead of razor sharp hooks as she cleaned my teeth to perfection. And Dr. Pantzis is the best at making me feel comfortable with her decisions and overall improved my health with her care. They also laugh at all my jokes, and I’m not funny (they are so sweet), so they got that going too. So if you love attractive women, perfect teeth, gentle hands and the best service from a dentist in Manhattan, then Ave. Dental is where you should be using your insurance providers money twice a year.

Dr. Pantzis and her staff are amazing. Every time I go to the office I have an enjoyable experience. I am always taken in to my appointments on time and I am in and out of my appointments in a timely manner. It is great for my busy schedule. I have also been going there for invisalign, my teeth look 100% better and they have been great with tracking my progress. I would highly recommend.

Best dentist I’ve visited. I certainly plan to return. They were super accommodating of my schedule and fit me in exactly when I wanted for a standard cleaning with almost no wait, they run on time without making you feel rushed. When she found that I needed a filling replaced, they were able to schedule my appointment for the next day, and the whole process was pretty much painless. She used a numbing cream so I wouldn’t feel the shot, then executed the numbing injection perfectly into the nerve so that I had zero discomfort the entire time. The quality of service was absolutely phenomenal, and as other reviewers have suggested, it’s very conversational and friendly. You learn more than you typically would because of their wonderful technology, ability to show you what they are looking at, and why they are coming to the conclusions they are coming to. You’ll frequently find yourself smiling with a drill in your mouth. Name one other place in the world that you smile with a drill in your mouth and I’ll personally pay you 100 dollars. In addition to all these things. Both the good doctor and the dental assistant are absolutely drop dead gorgeous. That certainly doesn’t hurt anything. I’m legitimately considering chipping one of my teeth just so I can go back and try to get a date.

The office is super clean and fresh. I was able to make an appt. right away for my minor “emergency”. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful and prechecked my insurance. Because I was already there — they were able to also fit in a full exam and cleaning. I was thrilled, as this was one of the most thorough cleanings I have ever had in my life. After the cleaning we went through the xrays together — womp womp — I will be getting a root canal — but I will be in good hands 🙂

Dr. Pantzis and her whole staff are excellent and have been excellent the 10+ times I’ve visited her office. I live in DC and have had a couple bad experiences here. One of my friends recommended this office to me and I travel up from DC since the work is so good – plus it is a good reason to visit friends. I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist in NYC and have recommended Dr. Pantzis to multiple friends who have said the same thing. Given how complicated dentistry can be, Dr. Pantzis makes it seem easy and has always made me feel super welcome when I come to the office. Thanks Dr. P!

I was there recently both for a routine cleaning and a filling. I have to say both Jen, the assistant, and Dr. Pantzis were FANTASTIC. This is literally the best dental experience I’ve ever had. The cleaning was simple, painless, and thorough. Dr. Pantzis has a great bedside manner and took the time to go over everything, x-rays and all, with me — and was very clear in explaining where/why I need the filling. Jen was great at getting me situated and instantly put me at ease (as this was my first time going to the dentist in a few years). After the appointment she was exceptional at explaining what my insurance would cover and what I needed to pay for. When I returned for my filling it wasn’t the same quality of service I was afforded on my first visit–IT WAS BETTER. Seriously, that was the smoothest dental work I’ve ever had done. If I had the choice between getting that filling again or a making out with a supermodel I’d probably choose the filling it was that easy and stressless. Again both Dr. Pantzis and Jen are easily the best dental team I’ve ever seen, and between Dr. Pantzis’ clear and thoughtful work and Jen’s color coordinated organizational system I can’t see anyone topping them.

I found Avenue Dental via the ZocDoc app. Being relatively new to the city, I needed a new dentist that does a thorough job. Like others have said, Jen the receptionist/assistant is wicked nice and friendly. The layout and condition of the place feels pretty modern and clean. Dr. Pantzis gave me some tips and useful feedback about my teeth as well. The dentist who did my cleaning even explained in detail what teeth whitening options they offer, how they differ/their benefits. I felt very welcome there and mostly feel relieved to have found such a good team to keep my teeth in check!

My anxiety level going to the dentist is terrible. Call it an over zealous childhood dentist who I swear got off on making little kids cry. To say the least getting my teeth cleaned isn’t something I look forward to. That was until I started seeing Dr. Pantzis as my dentist. I’ll start of with Dr. Pantzis’s receptionist Jen. She couldn’t be nicer and is fantastic at her job! I have a very demanding career with a schedule that changes frequently. Jen made booking for an appointment easy and painless all while being on the ball with my insurance coverage. On the day of my appointment I showed up a few minutes early to fill out the usual paperwork. As I stepped into the receptionist area the first thing I noticed was everything looked modern and clean. After finishing my paperwork Dr. Pantzis promptly met me with a big smile and welcomed me to her office. If this was any sign on how the cleaning was going to go, I might have to have a change of heart on how I feel about dentists. In casual conversation I let Dr. Pantzis know about my anxiety with dentist visits. She did her best making me feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. She explained everything she was doing in detail and let me know if there was any point that I needed to stop to just raise my hand. I’m happy to say that I went through the entire cleaning without having to raise my hand! She was gentle, but did a thorough job and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My visit to Dr. Pantzis office was easily one of the best dental visits I’ve experienced. She was professional, polite, extremely comforting and a pleasure to work with. She made an anxious patient feel about as relaxed as he could be. Not to mention the massaging dental chair didn’t hurt either! I will definitely be going back to Dr. Pantzis for the foreseeable future.

Hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had. A bunch of my coworkers recommended dr pantzis and I was not disappointed. I’ve had a lot of dental work done in the past so I consider myself an “expert” patient. With that said – the only time I’ve ever had a painless experience was in dr pantzis’ chair. She recently completed extensive treatment in my mouth and I never felt any of the injections or went home in any discomfort. I highly recommend dr pantzis and her practice!

From day 1 for 8 years, this dentist office has been a pleasure to be a part of. I work close by, and this location accommodated my short lunch break each time for regular dental visits. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. My dentist, Alexandra Pantzis, was an investment that I will never forget. I recommended her to all of my friends and colleagues. She, and the other dental practitioners there are very thorough in their work, and perhaps the most comfortable dentists ever. I would easily fall asleep in each cleaning, regardless of how deep or hard they scraped. They were very careful and the flossing was never an issue for me. The massage chairs are great too while you are having your mouth worked on. Alexandra and the others were always conversational and genuine. To anyone who needs a quick comfortable cleaning to detox from their stressful corporate work day, I highly recommend this practice. Just before moving from NY to Florida, my partner needed a deep cleaning for gum disease and bone loss. He is very sensitive to pain, yet when he finally had a chance to go to Alexandra, he was very praising of them and how clean his teeth were. He had no pain and his teeth were sparkling after the visit. Go visit her and her crew!!

I recently saw Dr. Pantzis for my cleaning and exam. She is gentle and thorough! Dr Pantzis took the time to explain everything to me and made me feel really great about my smile.  Everything is state of the art and beautiful! The front desk explained everything about my insurance.  I finally found my new dentist!

Dr. Pantzis is the best dentist I’ve ever been to! This is my third year going to Avenue Dental and I’ve only had wonderful experiences. The office is so clean and comfortable and Dr. Pantzis and her staff are so nice, welcoming and thorough. They communicate next appointments very well and there is no waiting time in the lobby before you’re seen. I recommend her to everyone since I actually look forward to my cleanings now that she is my dentist. Avenue Dental keeps your teeth looking and feeling fresh 🙂

Dr. Pantzis is beyond amazing! This is the BEST dental experience I have ever had. My insurance recently changed, and the dentist I went to this prior literally made me cry. (He also told me I needed a ton of dental work I had never heard of….) I LOVED Avenue Dental. Jocelyn was amazing. So patient, so knowledgeable, literally the best teeth cleaning I have ever had in my life. She was totally wonderful with my anxiety and severe hatred of the teeth scraping sound. (I involuntarily tense up. It’s my nails-on-the-blackboard sound.) She took her time, and was nice. Dr. Pantzis was great. She was kind, patient, and made some great recommendations. I will def be going back. Also, the office is great. The chairs are massage chairs, they have candles burning, and it didn’t feel as clinical and awful. I hate hate hate the dentist – and this was a VERY nice time I spent in the office. Seriously. PS I see other reviews refer to the hygienist as Jen – I thought she said Jocelyn so if I made a mistake, oops.

So, I found Dr. Pantzis on ZocDoc. I needed an emergency root canal because the pain was overbearing. I called to see if she would be able to see me earlier than the time listed. Her assistant Jen is awesome! She was very understanding. I came in a bit earlier, but was still seen around the appt time, but that’s okay! When I walked in, there was another receptionist that was very concerned (didn’t get her name). But thank you! They make you feel at ease! Dr. Pantzis is extremely cool! She listened to everything that was wrong with me. Her other assistant took x-rays and was very patient. After the x-rays, Dr. Pantzis showed them to me and thoroughly explained what was going on in this messed up mouth of mine lol. Very informative! I have a lot going on that even my own dentist never told me. She referred me to have my root canal with Dr. Cho which is the endodontist next door (whom is extremely cool as well!). All in all, you will not regret coming to this office (very clean and modern). Both Jen & Dr. Pantzis are understanding, patient, and wonderful! Thank you ladies!

As good as it gets! Seriously, Dr Pantzis is amazing. Not only is she friendly, punctual, and has excellent “chair-side” (bedside) manner but Jen her office assistant and her dental hygenist are super friendly and take their time to explain everything. I’ve had some very interesting experiences with 3 different dentists on the UES and literally I would walk to her office in Midtown if I had to. She is straight-forward, competent and honest. I can attest to this because I had a dentist two days prior “discover” 11 cavities in my mouth. This is also after my previous dentist in December found no cavities in my mouth. Dr. Pantzis looked at my X-rays, did a very through exam (and without knowing my previous dental diagnosis) found no cavities and one potential cavity that was not necessary to be filled immediately. So let me be the first to say that ethics and honesty goes a long way along with doing excellent dental work – she is encompasses all of these qualities. She really is THAT GOOD. I was able to find her on both ZocDoc and my insurance carrier’s website. Her website is clean, modern, updated and is easy to navigate if needed to download patient forms prior to your visit. Jen her assistant is readily available when you call or email, she is friendly and is very welcoming when you walk into the office to check in. They even have great music playing in their waiting room and their dental suites. The offices and exam rooms are super clean, modern and equipped with high end equipment. This was literally the best dental experience that I’ve had in nearly a decade.

I’ve been seeing the same three dentists from one practice for 30 years now, so you could say I was a bit nervous before coming in for an appointment. Having nerves going into a dentist’s office is not the norm for me… Luckily that all went away quite quickly upon arriving at Dr Pantzis’ office. It’s a very new and clean space, and you’re greeted immediately by her receptionist Jen who’s warm greeting and friendly smile will make you forget you’ve just walked into a dentist office and are just saying hi to a friend. Dr Pantzis was just finishing up and walking out with another patient while I filled out my paperwork and they were laughing together. A good sign? Yes. My anxiety was quickly diluted after I was brought into the exam room and sat in the chair, which was the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in at a dentist’s office. You want a massage with your x-rays and cleaning? This chair has you covered. Jen actually took my x-rays and assisted Dr Pantzis through my cleaning. Their x-ray procedure is much more comprehensive and uses newer technology than I’m used to and they show you your x-rays immediately on an HD display right in the room while explaining each section to you. I actually felt like I learned more about my teeth. Before the cleaning, Dr Pantzis did a thorough exam and we discussed my bite, current condition of my teeth (I’m a recent ex-smoker and habitual coffee drinker) and the kind of cleaning we would be doing. All the while again you feel like you’re talking with a friend, you feel engaged and interested rather than nervous or reserved. After the cleaning I felt like I had new teeth and they were actually a shade whiter than beforehand. Motivator to stay strong with not smoking? Yes. When we were done we went over what I can do to continue improving the condition of my teeth so I can continue my 30-year cavity-free streak. And unlike usual where you may feel like you’re being lectured and let’s be honest, it makes you so much less likely to follow through, you again feel like you’re just having a friendly conversation, and you actually care more. All in all, I’m very pleased to call Dr Pantzis my new dentist.

I love Avenue Dental. Dr Pantzis and her team are the best. I’ve been to Dr P for fillings, cleaning, and Invisalign treatment. The practice is beautiful, spotlessly clean, oh and did I mention the massage chairs? Everyone at Avenue Dental is thorough and professional, in fact they’re so great that I travel up from DC to see them for dental treatment.

I was visiting NYC for business and had a terrible toothache – after doing very little research, i stumbled across Avenue Dental and saw Dr. P. She was great, i eneded up needing a couple of cavities filled. I typically travel to NYC multiple times throughout the year and since Dr. P was so fast and was willing to work with my schedule, Avenue Dental is now the only place i go.. I’m getting Invisalign next!

Went in on the first day as Dr Pantzis’ first patient. Great office, super friendly and helpful staff. Dr Pantzis is great, her bedside manner makes you feel very comfortable and she explained every part of the procedures. The equipment was super modern compared to my last practice and I never thought I would feel as such ease at a dental appointment! Highly recommend, and I will be coming back for my next check ups.

Dr.Pantzis is an excellent dentist.She took the time to explain every procedure she was doing.She is very thorough and professional. She walked me through the whitening process which I️ was recently getting done at her office. She made sure I️ was comfortable throughout the procedure.
