I’ve had problems with my teeth all of my life, and have had some bad experiences with dentists over the years. This has made me really uncomfortable with dental procedures, and made me kind of jaded about dentists as a whole. All of that changed when I met Dr. Perez of Avenue Family Dentistry. He and his staff are extremely compassionate people, and consummate professionals. He always carefully explains what needs to be done, what the process entails, and fully explains all costs up front. He is gentle, thorough, and truly listens to his patients concerns, and works to alleviate them. The work he has done for me has been done quickly and well, with zero complications. He is as concerned about follow up visits and check ups as with the actual procedure, and really cares about how his patients are doing. I cannot praise Dr. Perez and his staff highly enough. They make going to the dentist almost a pleasure. I highly recommend Avenue Family Dentistry, and I would never get work done anywhere else.

I typically peruse Yelp and rarely contribute. However, I had such a great experience at Avenue Family Dentistry, I feel the need to share. We all know the stress of finding a new Dentist due to a move or you’re just looking for a needed change. My first visit was to address a compromised crown and a cavity, paired with the deep fear of dental pain. To sum it up, it was the most pleasant, painless and efficient dental visit to date. Dr. Perez has state of the art equipment, first-in-class techniques, and a great personality. The entire staff was professional and friendly which sealed the deal for my five start rating.

Dr. Perez is an excellent dentist. He is fast, efficient, and painless! He has made my teeth look great without over-recommending treatments. I have been to many dentists (unfortunately) and he is hands down the best in New Orleans. His staff is great too- Darlene, Carrie and Amanda. They are all friendly and great at what they do. His new office is right next to Superior Grill on St. Charles Avenue – a very convenient location. My whole family goes to Dr. Perez and you should too!! 5 stars

Fantastic! How often can you say that about a dental visit? Avenue Family was recommended by my new ortho. The entire staff is friendly and efficient. The office is beautiful. And I received the most thorough yet gentle cleaning for a super reasonable price. I had some sensitivity in my lower gums and the hygienist put some numbing ointment on, which helped immensely. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Avenue Family Dentistry for over four years. This was the first time I had an issue other than a regular cleaning/check-up. The service was just as fantastic as it always is. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and professional. When this “emergency” issue came up, I was able to get into the office almost immediately, even though it was during the week between Christmas and New Years’. The dentist on duty took the time to address the problem instead of referring me to a specialist. Dr. Perez then did a follow-up to make sure the problem had been solved. Finally, I always enjoy seeing Dr. Perez and his staff simply because they’re good people. Dr. Perez is doing a great job taking care of his patients, not only through his dental work, but also by providing a clean, hospitable environment and making sure that his patients are cared for in emergencies. I highly recommend Avenue Family Dentistry.

I have been a patient of Dr. Perez for almost ten years, since his time at Audubon Dental. Every time I visit, service and care seem to be even better than my previous visit. Now with the addition of the brand new office, I can honestly say that I feel like I go to the best dentist in the city! The new space truly matches the outstanding service and care of Dr. Perez, Carrie, and the whole team. In addition, with the recent COVID19 crisis, I was relieved to see such streamlined procedures to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff members as soon as I entered. Keep up the great work, Avenue Family Dentistry!

Small office with super-friendly staff. The building doesnt look like much from the outside, but the suite is decorated nicely and is inviting and welcoming.  The hygeinist and dentist are both so willing to answer questions and make sure I’m getting the best dental care. Convenient location and nice to get the reminders for appointments. Highly recommended.

FIRST REVIEW EVER! I am the absolute worst at the dentist! I have lots of anxiety and doubt. However, when I let the assistant know she was very respectful and kind, she even brought me a glass of water. Everyone was patient with me and talked me through everything. I REALLLLLLLY appreciated everyone who helped me during my appointment. I’d also like to shout out to the receptionist who greeted me by name when I walked into the office and who was understanding of me miss placing my debit card at the end of my appointment. Thanks guys you really eased my mind!

Dr. Perez just opened his own practice and I followed him there as a patient. He’s a great dentist and very personable. He even remembered details about some personal things and asked about them (after seven months). The hygienist, Carrie, is awesome too. She’s super nice and makes everything comfortable. It’s a bit out of the way for me to get to the office, but it’s well worth the trip. Also, there is a parking garage underneath the building that makes it easily accessible.

Dr. Perez is an excellent dentist! I’ve seen him for both cavities and regular cleanings, and he’s always served me well. He doesn’t force you into unwanted procedures – he just gives you the facts so you can make an informed decision about your dental health! Also, everyone at the office is so nice and friendly.

I know first hand that Dr Paul Perez is an extremely talented, caring, and superb dentist. Go and see him one time and you will never want another dentist!! He’s great with patients of all ages, and he truly loves what he does, which shows in his excellent work. To him, patients are not dollar signs. He truly cares about each and everyone of his patients, and believes in giving them the absolute best care possible!

Dr. Perez and Dr. Crapanzano-Perez and their staff are amazing! I had an excellent experience there for my routine cleaning, and when I had to return to have two cavities filled, the hygienist who took me back remembered me and asked about my job. I have had terrible experiences with fillings before (I have this weird thing with my teeth where cavities show up super small on X-rays, but then the tooth will turn out to be almost entirely decayed), and Dr. Perez listened to my concerns and was so patient and reassuring. Sure enough, both cavities were much larger than they’d appeared to be, and after he finished working, Dr. Perez took the time to discuss his recommended approach to my future oral care, which I really appreciated. Great dental team!
