Love Bark River Dental! My kids and I go every 6 months. The staff is so friendly! I love that it’s an independently owned dentist instead of a revolving door of whoever you happen to get every 6 months. Dr. Paul is so nice. He’s very friendly, understanding of apprehensive patients and has a wonderful bedside manner. I’ve had Karla and Sarah for hygienists and both rock! Not only does Dr. Paul do a great job explaining any procedure that is being worked on (and the reasons why or why not) but the hygienists also are so knowledgeable. Top notch office! Well done Bark River!

Best cleaning ever from Karla! I am 67 years old which means I have had my teeth cleaned about 130 times. I never miss a six month appointment. This specific cleaning was extremely thorough. Now I have Zero plaque and zero stains….feels good. Would strongly recommend Bark River Dental in Hartland WI.

Being a long time patient of Dr. Smiths at the Jackson park location. The bark river dental group had some big shoes to fill. I will say that it did not disappoint. I had a great experience from the moment I walked in and upon leaving. Sarah was a phenomenal hygienist. Very informative and thorough. My first contact was an emergency visit and what I thought would end with a root canal was resolved with an antibiotic. I followed Super Technician Karla to Bark River when my old dentist retired. I have no dental insurance but I value my teeth and gums at age 81, so I go to the highest quality dental service I know of: Bark River Dental Service. I may pay more, but I know I’m getting the best. The old adage:” you get what you pay for” . I went to Bark River Dental today (12/7/2020) because of a broken crown. I was treated with respect and great care. I consider the work done to be of the highest quality. There will be no other dental group to draw me away for the rest of my life.

My long time dentist recently retired. I was nervous about changing dentists, well Dr. Vitense and his staff have made it an ultra smooth transition. I am very happy with his expertise, gentle touch, and outcome. I have had 2 cleanings, crown work, and a cavity filled, no complaints. My husband is a patient too, and is very happy. It’s a very modern dental practice, I feel very confident I’m getting excellent care.

Just switched dentists to Mike Vitense at Bark River Dental because several of my friends go there. I needed some work and had to have a bad filling fixed. It was down to the nerve almost. I have got to say, that in the end, I’ve had more painful haircuts! And ever wondered why, when they are doing the inspection of your teeth and gums, they poke and prod along the gum line. I do now. Dr. Mike is great about explaining everything he’s doing and he has a very gentle touch. Katherine, his assistant is cool too. I definitely recommend this business, unless you like pain!

I am new to the area and I broke a crown. From my first call I was hooked on Bark River Dental. I could tell they actually cared about my situation and they were able to get me in the next day. When I walked in I felt at home, they already had my insurance taken care of and since I moved it was new insurance . I didn’t even have my cards yet and they took care of everything. Dr. Paul Smith actually took time and was not in a hurry even though there were other patients he needed to see. He explained every detail to me along the way. I know I made the right choice with Bark River Dental and I am a now a patient for life. I want to thank the team for such great service.

My experience at Bark River Dental was excellent! The staff was warm and inviting from the moment I walked through the door. I had grown to truly loathe going to the dentist being that I had not visited a single one that was gentle or explained what they were doing. Bark River Dental was everything I feel a dentist should be plus more! Tina was my dental hygienist and she was absolutely amazing! She made me feel comfortable/relaxed from the start and was extremely gentle with her procedure. I would highly recommend her to any one wishing to visit this facility!!

I was first referred to them after having a dental emergency and they were able to fit me in the next day and completely took care of the pain! They have been great at managing my periodontal disease without having to resort to surgery, per my request. All the fees are submitted to insurance appropriately and if an extra cleaning is not covered they notify me before the appointment of the out-of-pocket costs. I am very happy here after using many other places that were not great (Forward Dental, Dental Associates, etc)
