I finally decided to finally get braces in my 40’s. I never had them before so this was a new experience for me. I got referrals for 3 other orthodontists, had consultations with them and ultimately decided to go with Dr. Hom. I  made the right choice. He was always on time, has a great personality, accommodated my schedule and his staff is fantastic. My teeth look beautiful and I couldn’t be more pleased.  I would highly recommend this office. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Dr. Hom!

Dr. Barney Hom has taken care of both of our children.  He was highly recommended to us by our dentist, who had used him for her own and for her daughters’ orthodontic procedures.  We are very satisfied with the work that he has done with our kids.  We had been told that he won’t advocate unnecessary procedures, and that he is careful with the optimal timing of braces.  We found these things to be true.  His office staff is pleasant and efficient, and both the waiting area and work areas are clean, bright, and comfortable.  We were almost always able to schedule appointments after school hours, which was very helpful.  Most important, both of our kids have great-looking and healthy teeth.

Dr. Hom recently took the braces off our youngest daughter. And she has an amazing smile now!! Her older sister also enjoyed Dr. Hom’s talents and she has a gorgeous smile as well. With both girls having started & finished braces at Dr. Hom’s office I have spent countless hours in the office. Dr. Hom is a perfectionist – oh yes, he takes his job seriously & wants to best results for his patients. Dr. Hom truly does a fantastic job and is a great ortho!! His staff work hard and he is usually right on schedule and doesn’t run late (important when you’re getting two kids from school, to sports etc) We think Dr. Hom is great & TOTALLY recommend him:)

Dr. Hom is a great orthodontist and I recommend coming here if you want a perfect smile. He helped me with the overbite and did great with the braces. When I got my braces off he put on the retainer which worked out perfectly. He and his staff are very kind and patient. Thank you Dr. Hom for my beautiful smile! Dr. Hom treated all three of my kids with complete success. The timeline on wearing their braces was consistent, and they all have beautiful smiles as a result. Appointments were so easy and quick (usually 10 minutes), and everything was paid in advance so each appointment was easy in and out. Even better, Dr. Hom never fell behind on appointments, so there was never any waiting or worrying. A great experience for all of us.

We had an incredible experience with Dr. Hom and his entire office. Dr. Hom took the time to explain everything that needed to be done to my daughter’s teeth and even gave us some options with treatment. He and his entire staff are extremely kind and professional. The office is highly efficient and appointments are timed so that you never have to wait (even for a last minute emergency). My daughter just got her braces off and has the most beautiful smile. Dr. Hom is very professional and knowledgeable. My son just got his braces off and his smile is incredible! During the whole process Dr. Hom and his staff have been kind, informative and patient. My daughter has just started her phase “2” of the process and her teeth already look straight. The team does an excellent job of explaining the different procedures to the kids (and parents) as well as reiterating the importance of good dental hygiene. Appointments run efficiently, with little to no wait time. I recommend him and his professional staff.

Dr. Hom was recommended to me by my dentist. Both of my boys went to him for braces and the final result for both was excellent! His prognosis on how long the process would take was correct each time. A couple of people in the dental field have told me that there are two orthodontists in the south bay that do the best work, and Dr. Hom is one of them! The only regret I had was that I didn’t send my oldest to him earlier, while he was in middle school. I didn’t realize that he could start treatment before all of his baby teeth came out. Because he is walking distance from Mira Costa High School, my oldest went right after school. My youngest is in middle school and I have been driving him, but wait times are pretty short except for the occasional emergency. His staff is always friendly and has always made accommodation for emergencies. Make that appointment now!

Dr Hom has been our family orthodontist for many years. First when our children needed braces and then for my husband and myself as adults. He is thorough and knowledgeable -considering each case individually, informing the patient of the options and recommending the best treatment plan for the patients needs. His staff is accommodating, courteous and efficient. Great outcomes and a very pleasant office experience is why we always come back.

Throughout the last 10 years I had my wife and 3 sons went to Dr. Hom for braces. On every case the results and the experience have been outstanding!!! The staff and the service are excellent and highly competent. My youngest son had a specially challenging case because he had previously lost a tooth towards the front of his mouth in a sports accident. Now he has a beautiful smile!!!
