Almost 1yr ago 10/2012 I started to have Dental work done after not having Dentist for 10yrs. during this 10yr time, all my previous dental work started to fail or had already fallen out, this includes all Molar crowns upper left and right, bottom left and right crowns had all fallen off, over time with no crowns to protect my molars they decayed and started to fall out until there was nothing left to save. 1 bridge on bottom right also came out, and front tooth had a Cap that was broken,3 yrs ago I decided to just let remaining teeth fall out, this was poor decision because it became to painfull(i.e cavities),and Gum disease caused me to grind my teeth during sleep(causing frequent headaches) and having no molars had cause all my remaining teeth to crack from all pressure of chewing food with them. Dr.Barry D. Israel D.D.S saw all these problems and said “I can Fix that don’t worry”. So to prevent further damage to my remaining teeth, this would require Molar dental implants. 1 bridge and 2 crown replacments(chipped crown in the front replaced) this work was spread out over a 10mo. period 5 visits initially with 6mo. of healing till my next visits to finish up all work. With each visit I truly started to feel better about myself(never knew how much rotten teeth had brought my self esteem down)until I started seeing the results of all the hard work everyone had put into saving my teeth. I smile for Pictures and so much more. Thank you Dr.Barry D. Israel D.D.S for your full commitment to helping me with my Dental Nightmare(10yrs without Dentist). Thank you Liz,(front desk) for your warm smile, and great scheduling, Thank you Beth,(Hygiene) for being able to handle the 1st cleaning my teeth had in 10yrs.(would have been easier for her if she had rented a Jack hammer)just kidding, and for making me feel like there was hope for my teeth(what was left of them) thank you Lizz F.(Hygiene) for my 2nd cleaning and continuing to keep hopes up that my teeth could be saved, Thank you Chrissi(Assistant) for always making me feel comfortable, your genuine concern always made me feel good. and to DR.Barry D. Israel D.D.S the most thanks for always keeping me on the positive side with every single visit.

Before Dr. Israel, I did almost anything to avoid the dentist. Now, over 5 years later, I have to say that Dr. Israel and his staff have made me, and my entire family huge fans! From Liz at reception, to Chrissy assisting, not to forget my favorite hygienist Leslie (Leslie rocks!), they deliver painless, compassionate and stress free dental care! It’s like going to a spa for your teeth. Anyway, if you need a dentist (and who doesn’t), and you live on planet earth, you need to see Dr. Israel and his “Superstar Staff”!

I just had an emergency Root Canal.  Dr. Israel and the staff were amazing.  I was seen immediately and well taken care of.  He also can give that annoying numbing shot without me feeling it!!

Dr. Barry Israel has been doing my Invisalign for the past 4 years. If there is anyone who cares more about my smile and making it perfect- it’s him. Hands down he is the friendliest dentist out there. The whole office staff is amazing and make you feel comfortable and welcomed every visit! I would highly recommend anyone who wants to feel good about their teeth to go to him and he’ll figure out the best plan for you and make it an enjoyable process until you reach your goal like he did with me !

We are very please with Dr Israel and his staff! It is such a convenient Dentist who also does orthodontics. Dr Israel makes my kids feel extremely comfortable for dental work and orthodontic work. We have done braces and Invisalign With Dr Israel and he is always open and available when we have questions or concerns. Everything about this office is welcoming!

After putting off my dental care for too long I finally decided to make an appointment with Dr Israel.  I am beyond glad I did.  Every visit I have had with him has been a positive one in regard to how I was treated to all the procedures for my dental care.  

This was by far the best experience I’ve had at any dental office in recent years. Dr. Israel’s staff is confident, friendly and professional…Exceptional! It reminded me of our family dentist growing up. I felt part of the family even though I came to them as new patient. Dr. Israel is calm and explains every procedure thoroughly. During the procedure, he moved smoothly and checked-in to make sure I was comfortable and without pain. I highly recommend him with five stars!

I’ve gone to Dr. Israel for over 17 years! I just started Invisalign and I love it! I highly recommend it even for little fixes or preventative measures (as I’m doing). The technology is amazing! He is the best!!

Dr. Israel is the best!  He’s so good and gentle, that my Dad, my wife and my grandson are his patients as well.  He always over delivers. I also like Liz, Chrissy, and my hygienist Leslie!

I’m confused by Dick’s review. I have been coming to see Dr. Israel for the last 17 years. I have never had any issues with Liz and the front office staff. She has always given me my costs up front and there was never any confusion. I want to add that Dr Israel saved my bite and my teeth. He went way beyond the call of duty to help repair damage done by another dentist. He even made an appointment for me with a specialist in Torrance and then met me there for the consultation.  This is the best dentist office and the best dentist. I can only imagine that Dick’s experience was a miscommunication. Make an appointment and tell them Mary sent you….

Dr. Israel has been my daughter’s dentist since she was three years old; she’s almost 13 now. From our first visit we were very happy by his friendly and professional manner. He has provided excellent care for my daughter’s dental health. From regular cleanings to full orthodontics work, his use of current technology allows for not only preventive but corrective treatments that have been successful for my daughter’s needs. Office is nice and clean, and kids love the books he has for their entertainment. His staff is very friendly and helpful.

Who ever thought you could love going to the dentist? Dr. I is always friendly, as are all the other people working in his office, and the place is always nice and clean, but not too sterile-feeling like some doctors’ offices tend to seem. There are nice touches like stars in the ceiling tiles to look up at when you’re getting your teeth cleaned, and they often go way beyond the standard toothbrush when giving you freebies at the end of your visit — I once walked away with a toothbrush, full tube of toothpaste, floss, Listerine breath strips and mouthwash! Parking used to be tough to come by in the building’s lot, but I haven’t had a problem finding a space in a long time. And a few years ago, when I did have trouble and parked on the street, Dr. I let me use his parking pass to park in the underground lot. Make sure to book well in advance — you may have to wait 2-3 months to get an appointment — or if you’re flexible, just ask them to notify you whenever there’s a cancellation and you may be in much sooner. Even though I haven’t lived that close to Los Alamitos in a while, I won’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Israel has been my dentist since 1986. I was just two years old. I can honestly say, I have always had a positive and painless experience with him. He’s amazing, honest, passionate, gentle and genuinely loves his patients. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Israel and his wonderful staff. I know there are may who cannot say they love their dentist, but I can say it with confidence “I love my Dentist!” Liz is amazing also! She always greets you with a smile. She is extremely helpful and is always willing to go over pricing with you, so there are no surprises. Dr. Israel has been a part of our family for a very long time, and we are so grateful for him.

I use to hate, I mean HATE going to dentist, but now I am looking forward to go to my next appointment and that is all because Dr Israel is so awesome. I have a great insurance and so far all DDSs that i have been to try to use my insurance and do all the stuff that is not needed to use my insurance and make money. He is the first Dr that did not see me as a $$$$$ sign. Can’t wait for next visit. His office stuff were very nice and friendly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Israel for over ten years He is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is thorough in his explanations and examinations and is both gentle and caring in his treatment. Even when the office is busy, Dr. Israel makes you feel like you’re the most important patient there. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Israel and his staff are beyond amazing. I’ve never had any issues with scheduling, payments, insurance, and/or service. I’ve been a patient for 20 years and have recommended countless family and friends to his office.

My wife and I needed a good dentist we could trust. When I took my kids to thier regular dentist I thought I would ask him for a referal. He sent me to Dr Israel and told me that Dr Israel was HIS dentist. I figured where better to go then a dentist’s dentist. Now I hadn’t been to a dentist in over a decade and was freaked out about it. Dr Israel  could not have been nicer to me. After an extensive cleaning with Christie, Dr Israel set out to fix my numerous issues. In something like 6 visits, think the most pain I felt was the novacain shots. He is very personable and easy to chat with and listen to. I’m done before I realize much of anything. The office is small and modestly decorated and I think the most people I’ve seen in there at one time was two in the waiting room and maybe one or two more in the back. It is definately NOT assembly line dentistry like I remember from my childhood (and the reason I haven’t been in SOOOO long). The staff is great and Liz the receptionist is super sweet and fun to joke with while you wait. That said, if you are on time like you are supposed to be, you won’t be waiting long. The longest I’ve waited for my chair was slightly over five minutes. Normally, I like the newest, hottest, cutting edge technology but in this case I’m 100% into the the good old fashioned care and treatment of Dr Israel and staff. The one down side is he does not do root canals. I was refered to another dentist about half a mile away. It was painless as well, but I would have prefered to keep all of my dental work in one location. Root canals aside, two BIG thumbs up for Dr Israel!

Dr Israel goes above and beyond. I was in his office yesterday shaking and tearing up because I feared my Orthodontist screwed up my front two teeth by shaving them down too much and too square but Dr. Israel saved the day! He was kind and understanding. He drew me a picture of what he planned to do, told me to take a deep breath because it was an easy fix with his emery type tool. He went slow and let me hold the mirror so I could see he wasn’t doing anything drastic. And to top it all off, he wouldn’t even let me pay for it! I am so happy I went to him and got my teeth back again, as they are very important to me. I would recommend him and his kind bedside manner to anyone!

I’ve been going to Dr. Barry Israel for a couple of years now and he is very professional. One thing I look for in my medical professionals are bed side manners and that they take the time to explain procedures.  This is exactly what Dr. Barry and his staff do. The office staff along with Liz the Office Mgr are always very helpful with insurance. Not sure what office Gunther C went to because this is absolutely not the experience I or any of my family members have had.

I have been going here for 28 years and I have always had a great experience both as a child and as an adult.  They have always had a friendly atmosphere and have always greeted me with a smile.  The receptionist always greets me by name and always makes me feel welcome. The assistants always engage in friendly conversations while cleaning my teeth and I always feel comfortable. I have never been afraid of the dentist because of the great time I have had there. Dr. Barry Israel has always been friendly to me and made me feel welcome. He has helped to make me smile bright and always greets me when I come in for an appointment. I enjoy going to the dentist and they are always honest with me when I need to take better care of my teeth. I always leave with my teeth feeling clean and shiny. Thanks for making my experience at the dentist comfortable and welcoming!

Dr. Israel has been my dentist for my entire life (over two decades). He and his entire staff are kind and know what they are doing. The regular teeth cleanings are performed with care, and dental hygiene habits are discussed in a non-judgements way, and I credit the feedback and advice I’ve gotten from them for needing little more dental care than a couple filled cavities (possibly genetic anyhow), all but one with my baby teeth. Any work you need done that can’t be done in house? You will be referred to a top-notch specialist, as I was for the removal of my wisdom teeth. As a child, I heard that the dentist was a horror for others, but that was never the case for me. I always was happy to go to the dentist, as a child and now as an adult.
