I have been a patient of Dr. Alter for many years. He and his staff are genuinely friendly, kind, and caring. Every encounter throughout the years has been very positive. I have had many procedures performed, have never experienced pain, as my level of comfort was evaluated many times during each procedure. Dr. Alter explains details of my dental plan at each visit. He is thorough and an exceptionally skilled dentist. All my outcomes have been outstanding. The staff have been with the practice for many years which to me says a lot about Dr. Alter’s commitment to his staff, the community, and patients. I highly recommend Beautiful Smiles of Bayonne without reservation.

I am extremely happy to have found this dental office. The receptionist, Beverly is very welcoming, warm, kind, and helpful. Kathleen, the dental hygienist is very knowledgeable and helps you learn how to properly take care of your teeth and gums. She also gives the ABSOLUTE BEST teeth cleanings! She really takes her time and explains everything as she goes along. I have seen both Dr. Alter and Dr. Seleven. Both of them are amazing dentists. They keep you informed the whole way through and really listen to your concerns. They are very thorough and very caring. Also, this office is exceptionally clean. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing dental care!

While I was traveling recently, I developed a sudden need for a dentist, because of some unexplained tooth pain.  This office was nearby, and was highly recommended to me.  I was glad that they could see me right away.  I went there, a total stranger, not a regular patient, and they could not have been nicer.  The office staff was friendly and efficient.  I got to see the dentist quite quickly considering that I was a sudden new appointment.  He took care of my issue, and did enough that the pain stopped, with the plan that I would follow up with my own dentist when back home.  Under the circumstances, it was a quite pleasant experience.  This is a friendly and well run office.

I would highly recommend Beautiful Smiles. Dr. Alter is very professional and thorough he makes you feel comfortable and great bedside manners. He answers all your questions when needed. And he has a great staff. especially Beverly. I’m so happy with the work he has done.

I was anxious going to the dentist today because I had missed my last cleaning and had some gum pain. Beverly greeted me like an old friend, and Maria and Dr. Alter immediately assessed my situation. Happily, clean teeth, no cavities and my gum should heal after a special rinse solution. Tonight I’m a happy camper thanks to Team Alter!

I’m a new patient at Beautiful smiles and i love it! I just got my veneers on this week and they are amazing! Dr Alter takes his time and makes sure everything is perfect! I highly recommend getting your veneers done with Dr Alter! The staff is friendly and they make sure you are comfortable during the procedure. Beverly is the best! She is very understanding and accomodating. I also love how they are always on time for your appointment unlike my old dentist who makes you wait about 1-2 hours before seeing you even though you were on time for your appointment.

I have been going to Dr. Alter for over 20 years. He handled some very difficult bridge work for me and I have always been satisified by the results. Over the eyars I have watched as he has continuously updated his facilities with the latest technology. His staff his pleasant and punctual, escpeiclly his longtime hygenist, Maria.

My family and I have been going to Dr Alter for many years. In fact my, then fiancée, got veneers that have held up all the years since (more than 15 yrs). We have always found Dr. Alter to be both respectful of our time (not making us wait) and available when we have had emergencies. DR. Alter has a very light touch when administering shots, to the extent that our youngest children were NEVER fearful of getting in the dental chair. Additionally, Dr. Alter’s staff is terrific they find us appointment schedules that works for our 2 worker household, including Sunday visits. In addition his respectful staff takes care of all paper work including insurance forms

The office staff members are always friendly, courteous and professional. The doctors are courteous and professional but always considerate of my comfort and well being during any procedures. They explain what needs to be taken care of to ensure my dental health is excellent.

I really enjoyed my experience here. They have stringent COVID protocols (e.g. mask on until procedure starts, high tech filtration setup) to put patients at ease. The hygienists also were the most thorough I have seen in my life in regards to walking you through every part of the cleaning and procedure. And last scheduling appointments were a breeze. Many places I called have limited hours and were not amenable to scheduling follow up visits. I was able to get a cleaning within a week of calling and cavities filled only 2 days after my cleaning. Highly recommend

I love dr. Alter and while recommending him to a friend I looked up his yelp rating. Yelp has hidden 11 five star reviews for him. Not sure I understand, but I’ll add my 2 cents. I have been a patient more than 10 years and love that he has the same staff he had when I started! Beverly is sweet and funny, and Maria treats you like family. Dr alter has Sunday hours in the early morning, and that’s so convenient for kids who play sports. Dr alter is really gentle and caring and checks on your comfort throughout your procedure. I have had no issues with his work, which include 2 implants, bonding on my front teeth and 3 recent cavities. He also changed some old silver fillings to white at my request. My only negative is that sometimes street parking is tough, but there is a public lot behind the school about a block away.
