Dr Tabb and the entire staff were incredibly empathetic, professional, and thorough in the delivery of services and emotional support. Take it from me…dont ignore your oral health even in scary times…your current and future health and well being is essential to prevailing in this challenging landscape.

I have had a great experience with this practice. Dr. Tabb is both personable and competent. The office staff is great, all of whom contribute to a friendly and warm environment. I have had several services and they have all been done with expert and up-to-date techniques offered by this practice. if you are looking for a highly competent, friendly and patient-oriented practice, you can have confidence that this is the practice for you.

I think that Dr. Tabb is great!  I have been her patient for over 2 years, as has my entite family.   She is extemely proficient, professional and thorough.  Her office is impeccably clean and while small, it is functional. Her staff are equally professional and very knowledgeable.  My entire family goes to Dr. Tabb and we have stayed with her because of her excellent medical attention.  She is very knowledgabe and I trust her.  i have had bad dentists in the past and I am fortunate to have found Dr. Tabb.  Whenever I go there, I leave very satisfied with the dental care that I have received.  The hygenists are all thorough and professional  as well.  I recommend her highly.

I visited Bethesda Family Dentistry for the first time this week and had a wonderful experience. Admin staff was welcoming and professional. The hygienist had a wonderful manner and diligently walked me through my appointment. Dr. Tabb was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I never experienced discomfort during or after she completed the dental work. I would recommend Dr. Tabb and Bethesda Family Dentistry without reservation.

Professional well organized office. Great employees that are cheerful and ready to help. My family has been with Dr Tabb since moving here from Pittsburg in 2007 and we feel very lucky to have found her. She is always pleasant and spends time making sure you understand procedures and options before moving forward. She prides herself with including the patient in their dental health and care.

My history with Dr. Tabb is over ten years long; she recrowned my upper teeth about (7 or 8) back in 2002  and everyone who has ever examined my mouth since then has commented on the excellent job describing it as “beautiful”.  This includes other dentists and surgeons. I had begun to go to another dentist who my friend worked for and then  had nothing but trouble.  Of the three teeth he worked on I lost two in the front.  At my age (73) I very quickly started to look like an ol’ granny.  The third tooth which had a crown had to be replaced because it fell out!  It was then that I decided I had to Return to someone who knew what they were doing and I had Dr. Tabb and Dr. Robert Bouffard re engineer my upper palate  (I had lost a lot of bone and needed bone transplant).  It took a total of two years to complete the whole process.Today I have my full smile back and I am very pleased with the excellent work provided by Drs. Tabb and Bouffard and their staff. I trust Dr. Tabb to do the very best job humanly possible to provide not only outstanding care but artistry in the process; she is a caring person and strives for excellence. I want to thank Drs. Tabb and Bouffard and their staff for their dedication and hardf work on my behalf and wish you all a very Happy New Year.

I had my first visit with Dr. Tabb this morning.  I was a bit apprehensive on account of the negative reviews below but numerous friends recommended her.  I am happy I listened.  The experience was one of the most pleasant dental appointments I have ever had.  She was very professional and put me at ease throughout the entire check up.  Dr. Tabb is the best.

Read my review and judge for YOURSELF! I finally found a dental office that sees same day emergency patients (which is hard to find an office that does) and you can get an appointment for anything without having to wait weeks. They also open at 8am, and never close for lunch, answer their phone, and have late hours and even Saturday appointments. If you have insurance, they use your insurance rates instead of their own prices, and go by YOUR personal dental insurance percentage and rates. The front staff is beyond nice, especially the main girl that sits at the front desk that you see and go to at the end to check out. They are so knowledgable, and willing to work with you financially. They have your insurance information before your 1st appointment so that you know what is covered under your own plan. When needing dental work, they give you a print out that shows you what insurance pays and what you pay (depending on your own plan) Their dentists spend valuable time with you explaining everything to you. They show you what you need and then they work with you on focusing on the most urgent services. AND, rather than them having to refer out, when it comes to root canals or oral surgery and periodontal work, they have specialist who come into their office on certain days, (makes it so much easier than having to find a specialist and not being able to get an appointment for weeks). Another bonus, they also file your dental claims so that you don’t have to. Their office provides everything from general dentistry to cosmetic to even Invisalign. They even have the teeth whitening machine. They also have nitrous for any one who is nervous at dental offices. Try it and see for YOURSELF.

I have been going to Dr Tabb for more than 15 years. She has always been very professional and friendly. I feel what Dr. Tabb did for me was excellent. I have had bad experience before and Dr Tabb has make my quality of life so much better. She alway takes time to talk to me , and explains the procedures. I guess I could have gotten the same treatment from another dentist, but Dr. Tabb has alway been thorough and knowledgeable and doesn’t make you feel like she’s in a hurry to get to the next patient.

As a person who struggled with dentophobia before I came to Dr Tabb and Bethesda Family Dentistry, I walked into their offices with years of neglect and a bad previous dental experience. Dr Tabb, Dr Li and the whole staff eased my fears by thoroughly explaining procedures, exhibiting patience and kindness and ensuring physical comfort before and during all dental work (seriously little to NO pain). I now have something I never thought I would, a beautiful, straight (Invisalign) and HEALTHY smile! And now I walk into the practice confident and completely relaxed because I know I’m in the best hands.

I live offshore and was only passing through DC for a couple of days. I completed my semi-annual cleaning – excellent job; thorough and painless – and needed a minor follow-up visit on short notice. Dr. Tabb and her staff made accommodations to see me first thing the next morning before I left town. As usual, Dr. Tabb and her Team delivered world-class dental care with outstanding chair-side manners plus special provisions to fit my schedule. Top marks! Much appreciated.

I’ve been very happy to have Dr. Tabb as my dentist for over eight years. I’ve been completely satisfied with the care that she provides and with my interactions with her, the hygienists and office staff. My wife, children and even my mother are also her clients. Her services are not cheap, but she does excellent work. I never have to wait long, everyone is friendly and they handle reimbursement from my insurance quite efficiently. The dental care she provides is really outstanding with high concern for aesthetics. She’s given me healthy teeth and gums after a long period of neglect before I visited her office. In my opinion, the negative reviews are really off base. She always explains treatment options and costs; I’ve never felt pressured to get treatments without understanding the need. Some of the negative comments from other reviewers are directed toward Dr. Tabb when they are actually dissatisfied with their insurance.

I hadn’t been to a dentist in several years due to a childhood trauma. Dr. Tabb was recommended by several of the physicians at the NIH. When I asked why she was so good, asking for details, since I’m a health care professional myself, the first thing they all said was how Dr. Tabb was highly educated and her technology and equipment was top-notch! When I asked the obvious questions about pain, that too was unanimous, everyone had a pain-free visit. I was reluctant but decided to give Dr. Tabb a try, since I hadn’t been to the dentist in years and knew this was a health issue that I needed to address. In conclusion, Dr. Tabb’s staff is simply amazing! They are the MOST patient, and knowledgable staff, each assistant is a professional and you can tell has been with Dr. Tabb for years, and this says something about the dentist and the office, the staff never changes, that tells you something. The hygienist, was very kind to me even though my teeth were horrid, she never made me feel badly about not taking care of my teeth. Dr. Tabb, is an absolute gem of a dentist and person, she is a human being and understands the meaning of having anxiety and fear of going to the dentist! I am not a good patient by any means. Since I’m in the middle of months of dental work, my own fault, I NEVER have any anxiety about going to see Dr. Tabb. I must say, Dr. Tabb gives a GREAT needle! I felt absolutely nothing, and I like using the laughing gas, which is the BEST thing ever invented for dental work!! When I leave her office, it’s hard to believe I’ve been to the dentist. Dr. Tabb brought me back to the dental chair and saved my smile, teeth and health. She will be my dentist for the rest of my life. Now, I understand why so many physicians and health care providers in the Washington, DC/ Bethesda area choose Dr. Tabb as their dentist, she’s a wonderful, warm and understanding and empathetic person. The best you can ask for in a dentist.

Great to find you on Yelp.  I love using this tool for local businesses.  I have been seeing Dr. Tabb for over twenty years and more than once for an emergency visit.  I don’t have the best teeth, but thanks to Dr. Tabb no one but me knows this.  I have a beautiful smile and I owe it all to her.  I love that she keeps me informed on all the new treatments, toothbrushes and advances in oral health.  If it is not something I am interested in at the moment saying “no thank you” is not a problem.  I am also impressed that she works hard to keep learning how to improve her skills as a Dentist, and keeps updated on all the advancements in her field.  I give her five stars any day of the week.

Sales pitch? I do not know what these folks are talking about. Are competing dentists allowed to write reviews these days? I can tell you the opposite. My son had an emergency and called Dr. Tabb. She was on Spring Break with her family in Florida, called immediately from her cell phone and sent him to the emergency room where she consulted on what was needed in treatment. Then, she saw him immediately upon her return. We never saw a sales pitch, just a lot of care and compassion. And she is definitely an expert dentist! Never had a doctor or dentist return a call at 10PM when on vacation. Simply the best.
