Dr. Chung and her team are warm, friendly, caring, accommodating and skilled professionals at what they do  so well!  The office is clean, state-of-the-art equipment,  the team works seamlessly with each other and most of all they make you feel like a human being and not just a patient! Would definitely recommend this talented dentist and her team to those looking for a honest, caring and professional dentist.

I’m fortunate enough to need copious amounts of dental work in my life, and so for me, a kind competent dentist is my priority. I feel like a struck gold with Birdseye. Both Dr. Chung and Dr. Castillo are compassionate, thorough and excellent at what they do. I appreciate them so much and I know that I’m in good hands with them.

I’ve been with Birdseye for 2 years now and I’m very impressed with this office. Dr. Chung is one of the best in her field–an expert at what she does and it’s nice to just leave your care in her and her team’s hands because they know what they’re doing. At first you might seem hesitant about prognosis and think you might know more about your own teeth than they do, but they really do have each patient in mind for the long-term game. You have to take care of your teeth since you only have one set of them! I’m all for this new way of thinking. I’ve had my wisdom teeth pulled at recommendation of Dr. Chung after hesitating for a decade, and now I’m glad I don’t have to worry about them anymore. Also, I had several fillings done here by Dr. Chung and she did a great job of ensuring I wouldn’t need a root canal. In my latest visit, I received a new night guard and she spent a lot of time customizing it for my bite, and fixing my old night guard so it could still be used. I appreciate all the explaining she does so I can help understand my own teeth better. 🙂 The entire staff is very friendly from Dr. Castillo, Patty, Ivan, Martha, Alejandra, Jose, and all the hygienists I’ve worked with! They take care of all your needs and requests without hesitation. The office is very modern and clean, equipped with great dental technology, and TVs where you can stream Netflix while they’re working on you. They also have an online patient portal and lovely appointment reminders via email and text. Because of this office, I enjoy and look forward to every visit. THANK YOU! For COVID-19 practices, they supply you with hand sanitizer to wash your hands as you come in, and wipe down the counters, pens, and hand sanitizer after each use.  They also ask you to wash your hands as you exit. Everyone is wearing a mask, including myself. I felt safe and taken care of.

Really happy with my overall experience at Birdseye Dentistry! This was my first visit and I received a full dental examination, x-rays and a cleaning.  The staff was very friendly, and the technician helping was thorough with everything that she was doing.  She gave me the option to watch Netflix, asked if I needed a blanket and also gave me the chair control that gave heat and a massage (since when are dental chairs this fancy???) . Extensive photos and x-rays were taken, and when Dr. Chung came in she explained everything in very simple terms so that I could understand.  The dentist who did my cleaning was really kind, and also gave me a tutorial on different flossing techniques.  I will be coming back to the office for a number of filling replacements – that I clearly needed based on the photos – but I’m really happy with my experience here!  The space is super clean, the rooms are high tech, and I felt really comfortable with the staff.  They send a number of reminders for appointments via text and email.  Note: They do charge $100 for each hour of your missed appointment, but they have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

I’ve been going to Birdseye for a year know. I always leave their office happy that I went to the dentist. Which is a miracle, because for forty years I have dreaded every dentist I’ve had. But alas I found Birdseye with gentle and caring dentists who are genuinely concerned with your teeth and well being while you’re in the chair. And speaking of chairs, did I mention they have massage chairs? I mean, you get massaged while wearing headphones and watching your favorite Netflix show. You almost forget that the doctors are there. I’m really impressed with the care they give. My teeth feel great! I actually look forward to going to the dentist now. I can’t believe I just said that. I’ve never wanted to rate anyone higher than 5 stars … until now. Thank you, Birdseye! UPDATE: I must write another raving review but Google only allows one review per business so I’ll just add the paragraph here one year later. I never thought this level of care was possible. The staff in its entirety is impeccable from the front desk to each and every assistant and doctor. I can’t believe I look forward to going to the dentist. My teeth are feeling so much better since I’ve been a patient at Birdseye Dentistry. Thank you.

I have been very pleased with my care here! The staff is friendly, the office is modern and comfy, and the care is considerate. I’ve had a couple cleanings, a deep cleaning, and a whitening and every service was smoothly, reasonably priced, and communicated clearly. They even seem to remember me, which maybe is not the best thing to say when you’re the patient. (“Oh, it’s that person with THOSE GUMS! Hi there!”) They have headphones and Netflix on a screen, too!

I love Dr Chung and staff. I had the same dentist for years and when we moved I fretted over finding a new dentist. I saw two different dentists in LA and was unimpressed with both, and then I took a chance on Dr Chung. Both my husband and I loved her!The office is clean and modern and they do same day crowns. She also referred me to a good dental surgeon to remove an impacted wisdom tooth. While we just moved away from LA, I might try to come back to get my exams and work done twice a year when we are in town for my husband’s job. Thanks Dr Chung and staff for taking such good care of us!

Everyone was great – from the warm and welcoming reception, to the bright and thorough hygienist, the sweet nurse and the professional yet relatable Dr. Chung. I’m terrified of dentists, but these guys made it a relaxed environment, yet still professional. The explanation of my bill at the end was extremely thorough – and I loved being able to watch Netflix while waiting and during my cleaning!

I made an appointment for my first dentist appointment in a couple years and was so pleasantly surprised by Birdseye Dentistry! The scheduling process is really helpful, they send you a ton of reminders for your appointment. Dr. Chung saw me and was very thorough and sweet, and the cleaning was easy. The office is very modern — they even have TVs with Netflix so you can watch while you’re getting worked on  I had to come back for a filling and it was about as painless as it could have been. Dr. Castille remembered me from the first time I came in and is just such a lovely & sweet person. You’re in good hands at Birdseye Dentistry.

I found Dr. Chung a couple years ago when I had a broken tooth and was determined NOT to go to my previous dentist. She agreed to see me right away, versus other dentists who wanted me to live with a broken front tooth for two weeks or more before an appointment.I was very impressed with the modern, comfortable office; not at all the typical drab dentist’s office. Dr. Chung is an excellent dentist. She listens and is careful to explain things in an understandable manner. She always remembers my last visit and knows practically every tooth and its story.Since then I have gone back many times to deal with the aftermath of the broken tooth and other issues, including regular cleanings. Martha the receptionist always remembers me with a smile and is careful to explain every charge and how the insurance works. I never have to wait more than a couple of minutes. And Dr. Chung is unfailingly professional and friendly.

First time I didn’t bite the dentist in 39 years. Dr. Chung is ALL that.  Smart, funny, and most importantly great at her job. Painless, thorough, doesn’t cut corners and doesn’t up-sell you superfluous bs.  I’ve found my forever dentist. Oh and if you have Motion Picture Health Insurance she takes that, too. This might be the first good review I’ve ever written on Yelp so take that to the bank, too.

Dr. Chung and the team at Birdseye Dentistry have been my first choice for dental care providers since they opened in 2015. Initially, I went there because they were just down the street from my home in Hollywood and they accepted my dental plan (Delta) and took my CareCredit account, but I continued going because of the quality of the care and the caring, friendly, and highly professional staff. This is a great place to go if you just need a cleaning or a single filling, but if your teeth are in a bad way due to neglect or going years without regular dental insurance and cleanings, then this is THE BEST place to go. They spend your initial visit doing a very thorough examination of your teeth and gums, X-rays, etc., and making a plan with you for treatment. When I went in, I had spent ten years without dental insurance, then two years of going to an awful dentist in Hollywood who actually messed up my fillings and crowns. I am also Type 1 diabetic, so I have to regularly just eat sugar tablets and drink sweet drinks when my blood sugar drops (diabetes can also create problems for your teeth and gums because it affects your whole body). Fortunately, Dr. Chung made a very comprehensive and affordable plan for fixing up my teeth. Dr. Chung is an excellent dentist, and she can do almost anything that you might need aside from implants. When I needed an implant, she brought in an specialist to help. I have been able to get all of my treatment in her office with highly skilled professionals. Since that implant two years ago, I have been keeping my mouth in good shape with regular cleanings. (That being said, their cleanings are faster and feel gentler than any other cleanings I have had elsewhere.) That is fairly miraculous, considering how awful my dental health was when I went in. Dr. Chung is the best dentist that I have visited in LA, and she and her team saved my teeth! I am so grateful to them. What’s really nice is that her friendly receptionists (hi Martha!) can answer all of your billing questions, explain the treatments and payment options, and help you make appointments that fit your schedule. I have recommended Birdseye to my friends and my husband, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and kind team of dental care providers.

I was very impressed by my experience at Birdseye Dentistry! I went to the same dentist for my entire life back home until two years ago when I finally had to find one out here in California. I had the most negative experience at another dental practice that really scarred me so I avoided looking for another one for a year. Well, two coworkers tried out Birdseye and loved it so I went in. I don’t think the dentist is ever a totally enjoyable experience but everyone here calmed my nerves and made me feel better. Everyone involved (I’m terrible with names, I’m so sorry but you all rocked!) from the front desk to the dental cleaning were professional, informative, and didn’t make me feel bad about waiting a year to come in. I made it 28 years with no cavities and now have a few but the doctors made me feel like it was not that big of a deal and something that could easily be handled. I really appreciated the calm demeanor of everyone and them handling my nerves with ease! Also, as other reviews mention, they have Netflix for you to watch to help you be distracted! I’m anxious to see how I feel after going in for a few more appointments (hopefully somewhat more relaxed) but things are looking good and I’d recommend Birdseye to anyone in need of a dentist!

Let me preface this review by saying that I loathe going to the dentist. I spent years with inadequate dentistry, and a few dental crooks. I had unnecessary fillings, cracked crappy crowns and had recently run from a place that tried to charge me nearly ten grand for trumped up dental work. I had to get my insurance to basically rip them a new one. While walking in my neighborhood I noticed a new office had popped up. Pretty, bright, friendly… they looked too expensive for my preschool salary, but I popped in anyway. Martha, the amazing receptionist told me what insurance they offered. And I changed my insurance. I put my husband on my insurance. And off we went. The office itself is beautiful. The chairs are leather, comfortable and you can get a massage and a blanket while being worked on. You can also watch Netflix. For someone with extreme dental anxiety, it was a dream. The Doctor herself is…The best dentist I have seen. Hands down. She’s never going to upsell you. She’s fair. She true. She’s a damn good dentist. For the year we spent a lot of money here. Our teeth had been abused by poverty and poor dentists. We had dozens of cavaties. My insurance was great, but we still had money to drop. And I don’t regret it at all. My teeth are the healthiest they’ve ever been. When we weren’t getting work done we’d stop in and say hello. She let me know I needed a mouth guard for grinding my teeth. And she was right. My jaw stopped hurting in a week of having it, and I wear it while working just to relieve pain. Brilliant. When we moved away to NYC, I actually cried. This office has the best people. They are kind, the are generous, they are professional. And even now, I’ll always kind of consider them family.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in probably 10 years. Yah… TEN. YEARS. I’m a grown-ass man and I don’t think I could legally drink the last time I went to the dentist. Anyway, a friend of a friend on Facebook labeled Birdseye as “very friendly and non-judgmental” which were two things I desperately needed in a dentist. Suffice to say, Dr. Chung was warm, casual and made me feel completely relaxed. Honestly the whole experience was so breezy and pleasant, I’m struggling to write a more nuanced review. Even the assistants and front desk people were great! Just top to bottom, a lovely experience and recommend this place to everyone. The office itself also is clean, modern and cozy – it feels more like a spa than a dentist’s office. I will 100% be coming back here, ideally in less than 10 years.

I took my mom to see Dr. Chung, because my mom was complaining about pain ever since she got work done with another dentist.  After the visit, my mom immediately noticed that her pain had disappeared and expressed how thankful she was for Dr. Chung.  She spoke about how comfortable she felt around her and how competent and professional Dr. Chung was.  The doctor was very clear in her explanations and personable so my mom felt more at ease throughout the visit.  We were also impressed by how nice and high tech the office was and how welcoming both Martha (receptionist) and Hugo (hygienist) were.  Everyone and everything about Birdseye Dentistry was impressive.Overall, it was a great experience.  We highly recommend Dr. Chung!

This place is amazing. I have extreme anxiety regarding the dentist, and Dr. Chung and her team made every effort to make sure I was comfortable throughout my visit.Martha made sure to call me promptly regarding my broken tooth and was able to fit me in for an appointment on the same day. Upon arrival, I was asked to sign in on their new patient check-in system. It was all electronic and very quick The dental assistant answered every one of my questions regarding the procedure to save my tooth. I was offered water, they gave me a blanket, and the chair had a built-in massage. They also have a large TV where they show you your X-rays and set you up with wireless headphones to watch Netflix or listen to music to help you relax during treatment.Dr. Chung is very knowledgeable and super professional. I am a wuss with the numbing every time, but she made it easy and painless, I barely knew that she was doing it. I didn’t feel pain the whole time and just zoned out to Lost.I was in and out in a reasonable timeframe. This was the best dental experience of my life! If you have a hard time finding a dentist that makes you feel comfortable, I would recommend Dr. Chung’s office all day.

Good service and kind people. I always feel informed and never pressured. I’ve been going for cleanings for the past year. I also did zoom whitening and was really happy with that as well. I just got a small chip on my front tooth fixed, too, and it looks so good. And now during COVID, they are taking many precautions to keep their staff and patients safe. I def recommend.

Dr Chung is a fantastic dentist. I was referred to Dr Chung by a friend and was not disappointed. First impression of her office was clean and friendly. Her assistants were attentive and able, and Dr Chung herself was a pro. She was a perfectionist at color matching a crown and did a great job installing it. I always looked forward to the visit, the work was done professionally with a friendly and personal touch

I finally made the decision to find a local Dentist after growing tired of having to travel across states to visit my family one. This has been by far the best dental experience I have ever had. Not only is the staff super friendly but they make you feel welcomed and comfortable. As soon as I was sat down Dr. Chung introduced herself and answered all my questions and concerns. When it came time for my cleaning I was given the option to pick a movie or show to watch on Netflix on the TV in front of me. Thinking how cool that was, I was not prepared for the back of the chair to start massaging my back! I never felt so relaxed for a teeth cleaning.Seriously, this was the first time I enjoyed being at the Dentists.10/10 Highly recommend.

Best Dental Experience Ever!!!!As soon as I walked into this beautiful place I was greeted by Martha (receptionist). She was sweet and had a great smile. Everyone there was kind, professional and their customer service was amazing!Dr.Chung (Beautiful Millie) is intelligent, funny, patient, caring, beautiful, and she’s super helpful. She took her time to explain the issues I’m having with my teeth. From explaining the x-rays to deep cleaning my teeth she made it her top priority to make sure I knew the issue and knew I could count on her to resolve them. She even had a whole step by step plan set up to fix and perfect my teeth. I’m forever grateful. She cares about her customers and their teeth! I recommend everyone come here! I have been going to Dr Chung for a few years now and the quality and care I receive at Birdseye Dentistry is hands down the best. I bounced around from dentist to dentist for many years and I never found one that stuck because finding a practice that actually cares is hard to find. Front the front desk to the dental chair, you will receive amazing service  and work from the entire staff and always get a thorough explanation and plan set for you. Dr Chung is very flexible with working with you in stages for what needs to be done. She cares about the quality of the outcome and wants you to feel at ease as a patient. If you’re looking for a Dentist to grow old with, Dr Chung at Birdseye Dentistry is for you! Thanks Dr Chung and team Birdseye.

I’ve lived in Los Feliz for twenty years and never found a dentist I liked until now. I KNEW I needed one, but it’s hard to find someone who is available and capable. They are on time, thorough, very modern and every member of the staff is lovely. The rooms are private and equipped with televisions if you want them. The imaging equipment is completely up to date. Each decision they recommend is explained clearly. They all took great care to assure my comfort from waiting room to procedure and there was not an iota of upsale going on.I had a problem that another dentist had missed that was completely taken care of by the second visit. (And it was uuuuugly) Now I’m pain-free and eager to actually address some long-term issues I’ve been avoiding.

Hi!  I’ve been back more than six times because Birdseye Dentistry is THAT GOOD.  And I used to be afraid to go to the dentist!  Straight up, GOOD humans work there, everybody has a HEART of GOLD and REALLY CARE about doing an excellent job on what has to be done for healthy teeth and gums!!!!!  Dr. Chung has been correcting what past dentists had performed on me.  The X-rays and dental pics on-screen, and, thorough explanations from everyone at Birdseye Dentistry made it very clear for me to understand.  Also, I feel at ease every time I go to Birdseye Dentistry, I am much more relaxed and calm than ever before (they are very gentle and ask if you’re okay during the entire process!); I love to watch my favorite movie or tv shows while Dr. Chung is working on me! (:  I love love love my dentist and who can go around saying that?!!  I love love love Ivan, Patti, José, Martha, Cindy, and Dr. Grace.  Appreciate those who take GOOD CARE of you, there is no other dentist facility that I’d want to visit for any dental procedure than BIRDSEYE.  They are meticulous and gentle, they advise you to raise your hand up IF you feel any discomfort.  You’re in GOOD HANDS always.  I never experienced that before elsewhere.  Thank you so much to Dr. Chung and the Birdseye Dentistry staff!!!!!!   You’re simply the best of the best of the best of THE BEST in Los Angeles.  PS Thanks for always smiling and making me smile. Dr. Chung, Martha, Alejandra and the entire staff at Bird’s Eye Dentistry. You and your entire staff  deserve another feather in your cap.First things first, I’ve never been anywhere with better guest service. Maybe the Disney Cruise Line, but no one ever compares a dentist visit to a cruise in the Caribbean. Until now.Her staff gives you lots of reminders to come in and they always put costs up front so a ridiculous, heavy bill isn’t dropped in your lap at the end.Today, I had 10 cavities filled in every corner of my mouth. My appointment started at 8 AM. I arrived in typical Los Angeles fashion, 15 minutes late. Dr. Chung got to work on what was supposed to be eight cavities. Nine months passed since I had my teeth x-rayed and because I lagged on setting up my drill session, as she was filling the eight cavities she found two more! We decided to go for it! It was the most exhilarating experience of my week.I was sort of terrified to have this many cavities filled, but she gave me some headphones and I zoned out to a Moby station on Pandora. She moved her hands around my mouth like a medic saving a wounded soldier while running a marathon. When we finished, she walked me out and gave me a hug and made sure I was good to go. I was out and at my  work desk by 10:45 ready to slobber coffee all over with my numb mouth.Dr. Chung is as swift as a sparrow, as wise as an owl, has the charm of a songbird, the eyes of a hawk, and is as graceful as a swan. Her attention to detail is impeccable. She’s hilarious and loving and relatable and won’t break your bank or be too pushy with add-ons like most dentists. I’m convinced the people in her office are the most genuine people you’ll find on Hollywood Blvd. They make visiting the dentist feel like game night at a friends. I adore them and can’t wait for my next cavity!   : /

Thanks to a recommendation from a friend – I tried Birdseye Dentistry, and my life is forever changed. I went in for a full mouth look to tell me everything I needed ( I have good insurance and had a bit of time before my next job began) She said I needed a few root canals/crowns and a filling and we looked at scheduling. She was able to do fillings instead of root canals ( at least for the time being, I may still need root canals down the line) and I went to the dentist BY CHOICE – FIVE times this week! they were able to accommodate my crazy production schedule as well as my crippling anxiety. Dr Chung is incredible and smart and kind and gentle and made me feel so at ease, as did her entire staff – I even went back twice in once day for major work including a crown! They custom make the crowns in house- (so much  time saving!) and I feel like a million dollars – though it didn’t cost that much 🙂  If you are in dental need, don’t hesitate to try them out- they really helped my fears and teeth 🙂

This is a wonderful neighborhood place. They have their own machines, so a crown is no longer an ordeal. Dr. Chung has exacting standards, so she doesn’t accept imperfect work, and it really shows. She and her assistant are a well oiled machine. Dental fear? With a massage chair, Netflix on headphones and such a kind & gentle philosophy from the doctor and her helper, the fear doesn’t creep in AT ALL. I recommend this place very much to anyone.  The staff is also lovely, and you are not overcharged & oversold.

I’ll preface by saying I hadn’t seen a dentist in over 7 years. An enflamed gum, due to a protruding wisdom tooth, forced my visit. They inspected, set me up with an oral surgeon adjacent to the Nickelodeon HQ, and now Birdseye is my regular dentist. I’ve been there twice since for deep cleaning and a filling repair.Front desk is friendly and they care and show genuine concern. The dental assistant who takes photos of every tooth has great bedside manners, and I’d trust him with the keys to my home. Julie is a wizard with her double sided hook scalpel. She is someone you would want to accompany you to a festival, keeping you hydrated and full of good vibes. Then there’s Dr. Chung herself, who has the aura of the monk that taught Dr. Strange while also being drop dead gorgeous. Especially with her telescope glasses. Not sure if there’s a ring under her rubber gloves, but she is definitely wife material. This place is seriously ASMR heaven — pretty sure everyone that works here is a singer outside of work. No one judged me here for whatever mess they took care of in my mouth. Looking forward to my next toothache or cavity so I have more reasons to visit the office.

Today was my last time coming here and I’m honestly so sad. I love how this is completely run by woman!! Actually I think there is one guy assistant lol but that’s besides the points The Dr is actually a BU Alumni which I truly admired. She honestly did such a good job with her staff selection. They’re all soo nice and attentive to your needs. Martha up front remembers everyone’s name and recognizes your voice on the phone. They also have a calendar request feature which I think is amazing that let’s confirm your appointment or change it. I’m always so happy to go here even though all my past experience at the dentist has been horrible. They also let you watch Netflix as they clean your teeth (so LA!)Today at my cleaning I asked about how my jaw was hurting a few nights ago and the dentist lady (sorry i don’t remember her name) was able to call Dr. Chung to come take a look. I just appreciate it this place so much and recommend it 10/10 to anyone and everyone!

If even thinking about the dentist makes you start sweating and crying… then THIS is the right dentist for you!! I have actually never laughed as much as I did, at my dentist’s appointment this morning. Seriously, it was fun. And this is coming from a person who had to get the dreaded needle-in-the-mouth thing. (Also totally hadn’t had a cleaning in 7..oh… 8 years.) First, the receptionist actually seems HAPPY. I know, the rarest of rare. She was super friendly and awesome. Then the dentist assistant literally gave me a tour of the place, like I was visiting a friend’s house. “And this is where we make all of our crowns…” Yes wonderful tell me more! The most uncomfortable part of this trip was getting Xrays. That plastic thing is way too big for my mouth and pushed into the roof of my mouth. Sad panda. After that, she took photos of my mouth then Dr. Chung came in to assess everything. She showed me all the photos and told me what she looks for, in healthy teeth and gave me all the details on mine. She could tell I grind my teeth (I didn’t even know that!).  Then she gave me her recommendations on everything and didn’t push anything, she let me decide what I’d like to do with the front desk. So, next was the cleaning, and I opted to get the deep cleaning on one of my teeth that had swollen gums and “deep pockets”. That’s when the needle came out. That’s also when my heart stopped. HOWEVER, HOWEVER. The dentist numbed my cheek first and did this “wiggle” technique with her fingers while she put the needle in (TWICE I TELL YOU.) and it was a BREEZE. It was SO. EASY. Do not fear the needle here, as I have sneezed in a more painful way than receiving this needle. I almost laughed I kid you not. If you need a procedure that involves the needle: come to Birdseye. I would not lead you astray. While I was getting the cleaning, I had headphones on and was chillin and watching Bob’s Burgers. Seriously. There were a thousand instruments in my mouth and I just didn’t care. Just watching TV, whatever. They also validate parking on the roof of Marshall’s and Petco that’s right on the corner. Best Dental Experience Ever!!!!As soon as I walked into this beautiful place I was greeted by Martha (receptionist). She was sweet and had a great smile.Everyone there was kind, professional and their customer service was amazing!Dr.Chung (Beautiful Millie) is intelligent, funny, patient, caring, beautiful, and she’s super helpful. She cares about her customers and their teeth!I recommend everyone come here! Plus they have Netflix and Massaging Chairs!

Allow to me to frighten you by stating up front I had not been to a dentist in 6 years. I KNOW.I was ashamed of myself enough so I didn’t want to go somewhere that I’d be made to feel any worse than I already did. Plus, I needed somewhere that charged a reasonable price as my dental insurance dried up about, oh, 6 years ago (it’s all starting to make sense now, right?). A Yelp search yielded Birdseye Dentistry, and I decided to give it a go. I am so glad I did. From the ease of scheduling my initial appointment, to the friendliness of the front desk receptionist, to the clean, state of the art, calming facility (and parking!!!), right down to the hygienists’ sweet tone and kind manner of narrating what we were doing step by step, it was the best trip the the dentist I’ve had as an adult. Dr. Chung was really awesome. No nonsense but friendly, and really informative. I felt like I learned so much about my teeth and was motivated to take much better care than I had been by making regular cleanings a priority in my life again, insurance or no. When it came to the dreaded teeth cleaning, I knew I’d need a little but more than usual, but Dr. Chung was as gentle as possible while working to get my gums healthy and my teeth as polished as could be. I also got to listen to comfy wireless headphones and pick a Netflix show to zone out to instead of listening to the drill, which calmed me quite a but. And who doesn’t love that free goody bag of toothbrush & floss at the end of their appointment? I still do!As an newly relocated long time East Coast resident, I was nervous seeking new medical providers in my new neighborhood, but I feel like I lucked out immensely so far. Dr. Chung and her team are part of that luck. Bonus for their emphasis on a paperless set up and online presence/patient portals. I also REALLY loved that, there was no hard sell for additional dental work and that when I left, I was able to keep my itemized list of suggested future work (a filling or two) with projected costs that allowed me to budget. They even took them time to prioritize which ones to have first and, let me know I could do them all at once or separately to space out cost. Lots of transparency and no surprises = a trustworthy practice.Seriously– look no further.

When I first graduated from dental school I had no idea how to begin my career. I spent four years studying and practicing on patients under supervision, then suddenly got thrown into the real world treating patients on my own. I landed my first associateship in Brooklyn, New York. Greenpoint, to be exact. At the time it was predominantly a Polish neighborhood that soon changed into a healthy mix of hipsters, professionals and young families. It was fun to interact with patients from all walks of life and different backgrounds. Quickly I learned that dentistry is complex. It is layered. Simply doing what I was taught in dental school was not enough. I discovered that there are multiple factors involved in achieving optimal oral health. The most important factor is the host--that is you. This realization inspired me to dig deeper into dentistry. I took it upon myself to explore lectures, advanced workshops, and topic-focused study programs to nurture my desire to learn. This was the only way I felt qualified to serve my patients, providing them with comprehensive care. Five years later, after deliberate exploration, I was ready to start my own practice. I wanted a space where I am able to execute my philosophy. I felt confident that I can apply my higher learning to patient care. So, in June of 2013, I left New York and headed back home to Los Angeles. Now here I am, on Hollywood Boulevard. I chose this location because it is up and coming. A lot like Greenpoint when I first started. I wanted to recapture the pedestrian feel of a bustling city. I envision my practice growing with this part of the city and gaining trust from patients in my efforts to give my best. My philosophy? Is to understand the birds-eye-view of oral health by keeping in mind the broader view of overall health.
