The last time I left Dr. Carol Blake’s office–last week–I actually made a point of telling someone in the elevator that she should go out of her way to join this practice. I LOVE Dr. Blake! She’s warm, very gentle, reasonably priced, and very involved with the dental profession…She seems to keep up on all aspects of dentistry…and every time I’ve been to her office in the past few years–getting lots of restorative work done–I’ve appreciated her conservative approach (do what we must, but no more). I’ve had good dentists in my time. Dr. Blake (and great staff) is the best!

I had a bad experience with a dentist close to me, and a dentist friend recommended them to me – I went once and never looked back. I commute to them from way on the other side of the city because they are so, so good. They are committed to what is best for you and go above and beyond / put a lot of time and thought into your care. I recommend them to all my friends, seriously, go.

Dr. Blake and all her staff are excellent at what they do, and how they treat patients. They are genuinely interested in finding out what my concerns are and addressing them in a caring way. Dr. Blake is actively involved in her professional organization too- president or chair of the local chapter(?) – so she carries the respect of her peers and a sense of the responsibility that her profession tries to uphold. We came there after my last dentist of 17 years dropped our insurance plan. But not before I landed at an uninspired dentist on my insurance carrier’s list (and discovered how unfortunate that can be) Love this place.

My kids and I have been going to Dr. Blake’s office for about 3 years.   We have never had to wait for more than a minute or two and she and her staff are always thorough, gentle, pleasant and courteous.   Dr. Blake has fixed all kinds of chips and cavities and she does a fine job. The office is clean and organized.  It’s not often I give a good review to doctors or dentists.  Dr. Blake’s office has been consistently good.  Her office is easy in and easy out with metered parking and close to the Friendship heights metro.

I have been a patient of Dr. Blake’s for more than 20 years. There’s a good reason for that… she’s a true professional. Her experience allow her to provide excellent but prudent advise. And her manner in reminding you about what you should be doing about your dental health is always encouraging and never critical. A better, caring dentist you will not find!

Nice building, nice comfortable office, nice front desk staff, hygienists, & dentists. From check ups, teeth cleaning, crown prep and delivery, great service! I highly recommend. Visited again in October 2019, I was extremely happy to receive a same day appointment as I had an emergent need to re-cement a crown.

All I have to say is that when it comes to my teeth and dental work…I am a big baby. I normally kick and scream. However today in Carols chair….I literally almost fell Asleep. She made me feel very comfortable and cozy and explained everything she was doing until I dozed off. The experience was marvelous. I am not afraid to go to the dentist anymore! Thanks for that Dr Blake and staff. Everyone was fantastic.

I am a great procrastinator when it comes to seeing a dentist. I found Dr. Blake through a recommendation in my neighborhood. I was extremely pleased with my first visit with Dr. Blake, and have continued to see Dr. Blake ever since. She is thorough, gently and pleasant. Dr. Blake and her staff are very competent and friendly, easing the stress of a dentist visit. I also appreciate the staff fitting me into Dr. Blake’s busy schedule on short notice when I had a couple unexpected tooth related issues needing attention. I highly recommend Dr. Blake!

Dr Blake, and her staff, are fantastic! I’ve had had some horrific experiences in the past with some other Dentists/hygienists, which had left me -super- gun shy when it comes to dental visits. For some reason, oral nerve pain is my Achilles heel and so my dentist (and oral hygienists) absolutely MUST be gentle, patient and accommodating! And I can say that Dr Blake and her staff are the BEST when it some to showing the concern, compassion and gentle touch that is a paramount to being my go-to Dentist! When I first started seeing her, many years ago, I was a wreck in the chair… my body rigid, sweat beading on my face, and hands clenched into white-knuckle-fists. Now, thanks to the gentle care I always receive in her care, I’m much more relaxed, much less riddled with anxiety. And thankfully, Dr Blake is not one to hold back on the Novocaine. After years of dental work done, from cleanings to fillings to crowns, I’ve never had a bad experience in her chair. Oh, and I should note that I have had two crowns done in my life so far, one done about 5-6 years ago by an equally gentle Dentist in Austin, TX. The other, done 11 years ago by Dr Blake. The 5 year old crown came off during a routine cleaning in the fall of 2014, meanwhile, the 11 year old crown, is still in securely in place! I’m sure it’s days are numbered (Ugh, the thought makes my temperature rise as I type this!), but I find it very reassuring that it’s remained locked down for more than double the time the other one stayed in place. In my book, that shows Blake does quality work! I can’t say enough about how great Dr Blake is, and how extremely helpful and friendly her staff are. Dr Blake’s dental practice has made dental work tolerable for me, and most importantly, no longer a nightmare!

Dr. Blake and her staff are the utmost professionals & have been providing my dental care for nearly two years. I was referred to Dr. Blake after my previous dentist seemed to be hesitant w/novocaine, & left me in pain. Dr. Blake developed a treatment plan for me, repaired botched crowns, and made sure I was properly numb during my visits. She is thorough, articulate, concerned & has been wonderful guiding me through the process of dental implants. Paola, Helen & the entire staff are the real deal & going to the dentist isn’t so bad any more. Thank you!

I have been a big fan of Dr. Carol Blake for years — which is something given that I had a history of hating my dental appointments prior to going to her. Dr. Blake has established a wonderful practice that is warm, friendly, and professional. You can tell that she and her staff genuinely enjoy working together and working with their clients. From the moment you are greeted by name by the receptionist — to the dental appointment itself — to the follow-on you may have regarding insurance matters, everyone is courteous and professional. Dr. Blake is an excellent dentist who knows the latest in her profession — and who has strong ties with other dentists, specialists, and dental groups in the region. Through conversations with others, I know, she is respected by her peers in the region. Dr. Blake is personally vested in her clients. When I had my veneers (my teeth were discolored by a childhood anti-biotic), she made sure I was 100% satisfied with the results — and only after she herself was satisfied. I continue to receive compliments on my teeth and smile 10 years after her initial dental work. I recommend Dr. Blake wholeheartedly — and appreciate all she has done for me and my family. (PS Don’t miss her button collection on the ceiling while in the dental chair)

We love Dr Blake and have been going to her for years now. Her office is staffed well and they are always on time. Dr Blake doesn’t recommend things that aren’t necessary. I have always gone to the dentist every 6 months so have been fortunate not to have many dental issues…but I happy to have found such a great dental practice. Even my children love coming.
