Have been seeing Dr Monahan since previous Dr retired. Dr Monohan is great. Really takes time to discuss issues. Very thorough. Is a real people person doctor. Her referrals when needed have been excellent. Entire office is friendly and professional. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Monahan for several years.  I would highly recommend her to anybody!  Dr. Monahan and her staff are very kind and caring.  They have gone out of their way to make sure I get the care I need.  I have had nothing but pleasant experiences every time I go for an appointment.  Very timely and professional group.  Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Such a fan of both Drs. Monahan and Mele!! Very personable staff and highly professional throughout. Great attention to time spent on cleanings. All digital X-rays and dental records. Great care if you ever require advanced care like endodontics, etc. My wife and I couldn’t think of ever going to another dentist in Pittsburgh!!

I have been going here for at least 3 years and I would definitely recommend this office. The staff are very courteous and kind. I have met both dentists and they are both nice and listen to your questions. Every time I have had my teeth cleaned here, it has been a pleasant experience. I recently had my teeth whitened and Erin gave me easy to follow instructions on aftercare and warned me about tooth sensitivity afterwards. I am very happy to have found such a great office. I always feel well taken care of and would definitely recommend them.

If you are looking for a new dentist, this is your office!  Everyone there from the front desk to the clinical staff and most importantly the dentist were extremely nice and the care was above average. I’ve seen both Dentist for treatment and they are both gentle and compassionate. I always hated the dentist and thought it was so painful. But not here! I was having a toothache and the staff got me in right away . Needed a root canal ( which I was scared to death to hear)! I had it done in less then an hour, out of pain and back to work the same day. After not seeing a dentist for years I’m thankful  for the treatment and care they have given me. Now look forward to my  3 month cleanings​ appointments.

Dr. Monahan is the absolute best! She was incredibly thorough with examining my teeth and explained everything in terms that made sense. She is super kind and genuinely cares. The hygienist are also amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone. For the first time ever I’ll be excited for dentist apts.

Wow the dentist at this office is really good. She is very concerned about your comfort. Also the examination and treatment is really pro. I think Bloomfield Dental actually cares about their patients. I always get in right away. The important thing when going to any doctor is how they make you feel. Bloomfield dental makes me feel taken care of. Its a great place and I do recommend them. Best of all the dentist is great. She is really nice and very professional. The staff is really nice too. No attitude at this place. Pleasant clean office too.

I ran into Dana by happenstance; she called my company to paint her offices a few years back. I enjoyed dealing with her and her crew so much I decided to try them out with a simple cleaning. At the time I was satisfied with my (former) dentist, but I felt these guys were more personable, thorough and knowledgeable. Plus, all the girls are hot (what else is there not to like? Lol) I ended up getting more elaborate dental work down the line and they are fantastic. I wish I could give her something higher than a 5.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this review. Let me start by saying that I am completely DUMBFOUNDED as to why there are only 13 (now 14) reviews for Bloomfield Dental…and every one of them should be 5 stars! I recently became a patient here and from the moment I walked in the front door, I KNEW that this was THE place to be for all of my dental needs. Now, I hate to admit that I found out on my first visit that I had not one – but two cavities, but that’s what I like about this place…they don’t sugarcoat things! They give it to you straight! I don’t want someone telling me that things look good with my teeth if that’s not the case. We only get one set of teeth (not including baby teeth). If you get Carolyn as your hygienist, be thankful! She explains things to you in layman’s terms and makes sure that you understand that “you only need to brush and floss the ones you want to keep” and that you need to “be true to your teeth or they may be ‘false’ to you”! And Dr. Dana Monahan…she is great! I like working with people in the healthcare field that have great bedside manners and treat their patients with respect and not just as another number. She is that and then some. I haven’t had the pleasure of working with Dr. Karen Mele yet, but I’ve heard amazing things about her as well. Dr. Mele and I did however speak on the phone. She is helpful, extremely knowledgable and very charming! I did meet the entire staff and I would be happy to have any one of them work with me. I have to say, sometimes in life we get lucky and stumble upon something great…a gold nugget, if you will. This is one of those times…for me.

I have a lot of faith in this dentistry practice. I just returned from my semiannual appt & found it to be thorough and professional. They are friendly & nice from reception to procedure area. I now conduct my billing as this: I wait until they get reimbursed by my insurance and then they send me my bill. I had issues paying on the same day as the visit twice and it was taken care of. This seemed to be an issue with what mine would pay. One of the hygienist looked at the estimate and said: “this isn’t right. You have insurance.” Thus, I wait until they get reimbursed. No problem.

Have been seeing Dr. Monahan for over 4 years and have been very happy with the care from her and her staff. Always very concerned about her patients.  Recently referred a friend who had no insurance and he was treated with same care and concern and the charges were reasonable.  Highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Monahan, Dr. Mele and the team at Bloomfield Dental are a a joy to deal with on every occasion. They always put the patient first and have created a friendly, welcoming environment in their practice. Pair all of this with both Dr. Monahan and Dr. Mele’s extensive clinical experience and you will not have to look elsewhere for any of your dental needs. I Highly Recommend!

I had an appointment with Dr Monahan for the first time at Bloomfield Dental. Speaking as someone who has never stuck with one dentist, my experience with Dr. Monahan excellent. The staff was great and so nice. The office is clean and equipped with all kinds of high tech equipment. I’ll be looking forward to my next appointment.

I have been a patient for several years prior to Dr. Monahan taking over this practice. I have been her patient for the the past 3 years. She is very detailed on the procedures she recommends & doesn’t pressure her patients. I couldn’t be more satisfied. The staff is courteous & friendly. Over the years I have had my share of cleanings & by far her staff does a fantastic job.

I have finally found a dentist office I don’t dread going to! Dr. Monahan had quite the case when she took me on as a patient, as I hadn’t been to the dentist in years.  From the moment I walked in to the time I left that first time, it was a great experience.  Dr. Monahan took the time to find out about me and made a plan for my care.  She was very honest about the work I needed done and explained her plans very thoroughly.  I never felt like I was being rushed out of the office, as she took the time to answer my questions in ways I could understand.  After several visits, I got to know the staff and her associate, Dr. Mele, who is very good too! Highly recommend this practice!

Above and beyond the call of just your basic dentist. Dr D. Monahan is a top notch doctor of dental medicine. The people she has working for her are so nice & non-judgmental! Also can be said for the the other doctor Karen Mele. I really can’t say enough about how they take care of all my dental needs. Top shelf dentistry. Highly recommend this business.

I have never had a dentist and staff that has been so helpful. They made sure that I knew exactly what my insurance would cover and what I would have to pay. I have never had a problem calling the office the schedule an appointment or get info. Someone has always taken my call. I highly recommend Bloomfield Dental.
