Great Doc, great staff! I’m preparing to move from Pelham/Riverchase area to Trussville and wanted to go ahead and find my new dentist in the area since it was time for my 6 month dental visit. Dr. Boyd’s practice is located 5 minutes from my new home so I made an appointment. The building is brand new and his staff is professional, kind and seems happy and proud to work for him. Dr. Boyd impressed me as professional with a natural good sense of humor. The dental hygienist was thorough and did a great job. Delightful! (Who says that about a dental visit?) I am always nervous about visiting a dentist, but Dr. Boyd and his great staff put me at total ease and relaxation today! They were very calming dealing with me and seemed overly careful with me, which I need. I do have dental issues but they make me feel like they are working with/for me, trying to make my situation as minimally stressful as possible. Thank you!

The best encounter with a dental office I’ve ever had. The staff is so incredibly kind and caring. They are very informative and listen to your concerns exceptionally well. Dr. Boyd (male) is absolutely terrific with children. He really helped both of my toddlers to feel at ease and make it a fun experience for them. Dr. Boyd is such a goof ball, and my children loved it. Dr. Boyd (female) has been wonderful to me and my husband. She is compassionate, detail oriented and knowledgeable. We, as a family, feel very cared for when we visit Boyd Family Dentistry!

I’ve been going to Dr Boyd’s practice for about 18 years. His staff is top notch, professional, and very caring toward their patients. I had a huge dental phobia until I started seeing Dr Boyd. His humor and expertise put me at ease from the beginning. I went from having to use gas for cleanings to now… I am completely comfortable and at ease the whole time I’m there. I left one dentist office in came to this morning and it was very welcoming and friendly. We are willing to work with you financially if you’re unable to pay at the desk at that time. Also since they have reopened due to a brief clothing because of the covid-19 they have been really cautious and take great detail and taking care of the patient as well as staff. I took my father to see Drs. Boyd and Chafin for a check-up and cleaning. The doctors and staff were all very kind and professional. It’s a beautiful office, and we were seen in a timely manner. Highly recommend Boyd Family Dentistry! I brought my 7 month old to my visit and they were very accommodating. My hygentist told me exactly what she was doing the whole time and when my son started getting a little fussy she suggested putting him on my lap as she finished. She was great! This has been my dentist for a number of years now and I just love coming here! Dr. Boyd along with his staff are all great! I’ve never had any issues. I love Dr. Boyd’s personality; he makes going to the dentist not so dreadful, as it can be sometimes. There is such a relaxed atmosphere in the office; they have televisions in the rooms and Dr. Boyd has an awesome playlist on his phone! The experience is great all around. If I could give this Dentist office ten stars I would. Dr. Boyd is the best Dentist hands down!!!!! I am a horrible Dentist patient and I don’t think there is another Dentist in Birmingham that would be as patient with me as Dr. Boyd. He does great work and in a timely manner. The staff there is amazing and Mrs Boyd is a Dentist there and she is amazing as well! There has been times where I have had a tooth ache after hours and I would call Dr. Boyd and he would get me a prescription called in to my pharmacy quickly. Most of the time if you have a issue after hours you have to wait until the next day, but not here! ,so this was definitely a plus for me. This office is family oriented! From your old grey headed grandmother,to your kids, they are welcomed. I bring my daughter here to and she loves it! Dr. Boyd has a great sense of humor that is very helpful for me especially when my anxiety kicks in(which usually is when I pull into the parking lot lol). I couldn’t ask for a better dentist and I will definitely continue to come here.

Dr. Boyd and his staff are extremely professional and friendly. The office itself is clean, warm and welcoming and the staff is always smiling. I love Dr. Boyd’s humor and never fails to put me at ease. He is gentle, good at his work and one of the only dentists in the area who will do most root canals in his office. His assistants seem to be able to read his mind, they are always at the ready with whatever he needs next. And I love that he always treats me like a friend, not so much like a patient. I’ve always had a pleasant experience at Dr Boyd’s office. The hygienist are always friendly and kind. My previous dentist packed up and left in the middle of the night, and the only way I found out about it was when I showed up for my 6 month cleaning and the place was deserted. Top notch denistry that my wife recommended to me. I can’t say I’ve ever had a good time at the dentist, I don’t think anyone can really, however I did have a good time at Boyd’s. Not just a good time but an actual laughing and smiling good time. I was extremely impressed by how welcoming and approachable the staff was from the lady behind the front desk, to the hygienist, to even the big man himself. It seemed as if I had been going there my entire life when it was actually my first visit. I don’t say this often but my wife was right.

The Best!! I had two, Countem TWO root canals done at one visit. I explained to Dr. Boyd I have a low pain tolerance and moderate anxiety about dental work and he was so understanding, and the fact that he’s so funny is an added bonus . Him and his staff are so kind and warm. They made sure I was comfortable from the beginning to the end of my root canals. It was pain free for me. It was a little extra for nitrous oxide but so worth it. He will now become my new dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr Boyd for over 4 years. He is a great dentist, highly professional and friendly atmosphere. He knows all his patients by name. We feel like a big happy family. I used to hate going to the dentist, but not anymore. All of my family and friends are patients of Dr Boyd. I just left today for a cleaning. The dental hygienist did an awesome job. I love the atmosphere and how they take individual care for all his patients. His wife is dentist there is also awesome. Several months ago my mother with dementia had an appointment for a cleaning. After her home sitter brought her to the appointment. The insurance she had denied the cleaning. Dr Boyd being the loving, caring dentist agreed to do her cleaning free of charge. I am so happy that today I made my mother an appointment to get some needed dental work with new insurance. This is the reason I love to come to Dr Boyd. He said we just like family. Dr. Boyd was Honest and gave me his recommendation and said but we want you to be happy, so we will do what you prefer.
