So happy to have found Dr. Nikman. Not only is he great and talented at what he does, but he preserves integrity, a trait that is essential in the dental business. He saved me from a place that had been scamming me back and fourth for months trying to get the most money out of me. Thankfully dr. Nikman was honest and redirected me to the right service that was beneficial for me. In addition, I had a wonderful experience whitening my teeth with the zoom procedure. My teeth are down to the lightest shade possible! I will definitely be going back to Dr. Nikman for any dental work.

Dr. Nikman, is so kind and gentle, efficient, and honest.  I have a cracked tooth that needs to be fixed and my last dentist said my only option was 4 veneers.  Dr. Nikman gave me additional options and said “I would love to charge you for 4 veneers, but I think you have easier, cheaper alternatives.”  The office itself could use some updating, but I will definitely be referring friends and going back myself.  Drawback – they don’t validate parking and the garage gets expensive!.

I’ve been with Dr. Nikman over 20 years. That should be enough testament to tell you how great he and his team are when taking care of patients. He and his staff, Shahla and Suzy, are always nice, attentive, and thoughtful about making me feel comfortable (along with the office’s euphonious intermezzo-ish room music, which is definitely a plus). They are truly skillful and professional and explain to me every detail of my diagnosis and condition, answering any of my questions about my teeth even if some are unduly simple. Further, they always give me several options about what I should do if any tooth needs to be treated. I highly recommend his team’s service to any reluctant have-not tried patients who think of a dentist experience as a “burdensome, painful” one. They will change your biased concept completely. The nicely renovated newly installed wall design with soothing nature landscape images of the elevators in the medical building is quite well-done. Also, the Chicken Caesar Salad at Café Brio on the ground floor is good, too. I always get that in order to have my parking ticket validated on the way out!

This may be the first review I have ever posted about anything. I have been seeing Dr. Nikman for many years. I am one of those people who hates having sharp objects in my mouth anywhere near the vicinity of my gums which, unfortunately, is the heart and soul of dentistry. One of the first things I noticed is that Dr. Nikman has “soft hands,” meaning that even though the sharp objects are in there, he knows how to control them in such a way that it doesn’t hurt. His office has always been friendly and welcoming, and at the same time professional. Also, Dr. Nikman is super patient and candid about explaining what is going on and is never pushy about upselling. I would absolutely recommend this office to anybody looking for an excellent dentist.

Dr. Nikman is the proof that “no pain, no gain” is just not true. Me and my wife have been there with problems that needed a perfectionist, like Dr. Nikman. You can rest assured, that you will not leave the office with a work done less than 100% percent accuracy, and perfect quality. Suzy, the receptionist is always on the top of scheduling, working with your insurance company, and all that with a smile. Shahla is the perfect assistant to Dr. Nikman, looks like she knows everything, and they understand each other with the Dr. sometimes without even saying a word.
I can only recommend Dr. Nikman’s services!

“10 YEARS!  10 FREAKIN’ YEARS!!” (okay, stole that from Jeremy Piven in “Grosse Pointe Blank” and dated myself all at the same time, but that’s another story…) Ten years my wife and I have been seeing Dr. Nikman and do my white teeth shine, or WHAT!  He has been terrific.  Fair, honest, and GOOD (ie:  “PAINLESS”!) Yesterday he cleaned our teeth and found a filling (at my age, no less, and I don’t eat sugar, what gives with that???).  But it was a pain free filling and for that I thank you, Dr. Nikman.  Always a pleasure to see you! My wife and I will always be indebted. Kerry & Joan. Please allow this post to be read by anyone searching for a professional, PAINLESS dentist who is just a great guy!! (He also happens to know every rock song ever sung – go ahead, test him!!).  I think you will very happy – my wife and I are.

Like many others, I have tried quite a few dentists before going to Dr. Nikman.  It has been a number of years since my first visit to his office.  Since then I have referred many of friends and family members to his practice.  He has proven time after time that he genuinely cares for his patients and is a great dentist.  Just by going to his office twice a year for cleaning and check up, he has been able to maintain my problematic teeth and gum for years now without needing any dental procedures.  He is the best dentist for me and my family – period.

Dr. Nikman is not only a great dentist, but he is a very nice man………I have found him to be very honest, fair, and he has great ideas………When I moved to LA several years ago, I was looking for a dentist and everywhere I went, I felt like I was being “SOLD”  dental work that I did not need……not the case in this office….I am so thankful to have found Dr. Nikman and I wanted to give him a “shout out” and say to anyone out there on the west side looking for a really good dentist that will tell you the truth, check him out….I dont normally write these reviews, so I hope that you found this helpful. I had recently moved to Los Angeles from NYC and needed a good dentist. Dr. Nikman was referred to me through a friend after I chipped by front tooth. When I called his office, his staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and scheduled my appointment immediately. On the day of my appointment, I found his office easy to get to with available onsite parking. I was a bit nervous, never having chipped a tooth before, but Dr. Nikman was able to go over the procedure with me beforehand and set me at great ease. He was kind, cordial, respectful, and extremely qualified. His work was painless and the tooth looks great. He is an excellent dentist and I recommended him to all my friends.

Dr. Nikman did a great job fixing my tooth recently. I was always scared to death to go to dentists, and always tried to avoiding dentists until situation gets really tough. Same thing happened this time, I came to Dr. Nikman with huge hole in the tooth and I couldn’t chew on that side and it seemed terrible. So he installed me crown, which required about 1.5 hours of drilling and I can say that was the best dentist experience I ever had. After the first few minutes of being in the chair I wasn’t scared at all, which never happened to me in the past. So long story short, I will highly recommend Dr. Nikman to everyone who will ask me about good dentist and will become his regular client in the future.

I am new to Los Angeles and was looking for a Dentist that would be gentle and honest. I had heard from a number of people that Dr. Nikman’s dental office was a comfortable environment and that Dr. Nikman did great work. And they were right! Nobody enjoys going to the dentist. But I must say, Dr. Nikman’s staff and he himself, made my experience easy and comfortable. He didn’t try to “sell” me on a bunch of things that I don’t need. I am happy with the work I had done and the price that I paid. And I got a great promo coupon for referring a friend!

Dr. Nikman and his staff are amazing!! He somehow cured my life long fear of dentists. I informed him it had been a while since I had been seen by a dentist and was afraid due to a possible cavity. He not only offered a stuffed animal and ear buds, he waited until I was comfortable and numb before performing my filling. I was shocked when he was finished and couldn’t believe how gentle was. I felt like he was was extra cautious and really took his time. I am so grateful to have found him.

I’m extremely picky about my dentist– Dr. Nikman is the second dentist I tried after moving to Los Angeles, and the last one I’ll need to find. The office is easy to find, the office assistants are friendly and helpful. Dr. Nikman personally does the cleaning, as well as any dental work. He is patient and wonderful. He never asks a complicated question and then fills your mouth with dental tools! His work is gentle, sensitive to your needs, and fast. I’ve recommended him to several friends, and they’ve all been impressed. He is also extremely accommodating– my husband has had work plans change several times, and his office has always worked hard to work around his schedule. He’s even available one Saturday every month– when the building parking is significantly less expensive!

I moved to Los Angeles about two years ago and needed to find a new dentist. A friend of mine told me about Dr. Nikman, whom I’ve visited twice now.The first time, I went in for a check-up, but ended up having 3 cavities  fixed at a very reasonable rate. I felt very comfortable in his practice, and he has a really lovely staff. His assistant Patty is adorable. She is so funny and distracts me from any dentist fear that might arise, haha. I went back last week to consult Dr. Nikman about getting some Invisalign braces – a friend of mine just got them, and she paid like USD 10,000 for one year. He was very informative and fortunately, the price range he quoted me was much much lower, which goes in hand with the information I found on the Invisalign website. So, I will go back in a few weeks to get my Invisalign started, and I am so excited!

Dr. Nikman has been my family dentist for years. I feel so lucky to have such a careful, smart, and caring dentist who I can trust. He’s always clear about all my options in getting a treatment, even those that may reduce the total that I will spend. I have had lots of fillings done by him and, even years later, I have had no problems with them. He constructed whitening trays for me, and I continue to get compliments on my beautiful white teeth :). He has even helped maintain my retainers to keep my teeth straight years after getting braces with a different doctor. As for his prices — he’s always been more than fair, whether or not I’ve had insurance! So, whether you need just a check up or are having serious dental grossness, go see him already!! Tip: for those of us who can’t make time during the work week, Dr. Nikman is kind enough to make appointments on saturdays once per month! Street parking is available in the residential neighborhood adjacent to his office building.

I hadn’t been to a dentist in years, because I was scared. A friend of mine finally persuaded me to try her dentist, because, she assured me, “I’m a big scaredy cat too.” So I sucked it up and went. My first time in Dr. Nikman’s office, I found myself sitting in the chair, tense, and a very kind looking man with a gentle voice says, “here, would you like to hold this?” and offers me a stuffed animal. What am I? A kid? No. This childish manipulation won’t work on me. But I take it to be polite. At some point, I realized I was gripping the thing for dear life (the exam hadn’t actually started yet). So I try to relax, and OK, the stuffed bear, or whatever it was, does make me feel better. We chat about my mutual friend, and I get my exam done. That’s what I remember from my first dental visit with Dr. Nikman, circa 2004. Note what was missing: -pain-tears-unpleasantness. Am I saying there was zero discomfort? No. As I said, I hadn’t been to a dentist in years – I’m sure I had issues. And Dr. Nikman is a dentist, not a magician. But he is EXTREMELY gentle, and cares about how you are doing when you’re sitting in his chair. He checks in with you, warns you when something unpleasant is about to happen, and makes it as quick as possible. Did I mention I didn’t have dental insurance? He’s sensitive to that. His staff is also great. Nice, friendly, efficient people. I think they reflect well on him. There are plenty of good dentists out there, I’m sure. But Dr. Nikman is also a wonderful person. Dr. Nikman is still my dentist, and I’m proud to say I don’t require the services of the stuffed bear anymore. But I think it’s still there if you need it.

I have been a patient here in this office for a few months now and I must say I am impressed! The Care ive received being the fearful one that I am was amazing. The Back office Assistant is awesome and friendly and made me feel very safe and welcome. I had a great experience, (even tho I hate having dental work done! -Sorry Guys) and I will definitely be a continued patient here.

EXCELLENT….EXCELLENT…EXCELLENT DENTIST AND STAFF. I have had the best detal experiences at this office than any other dentist in my 55yrs of visiting the dentist. Dr. Nikman is gentle, kind, caring, and most of all he does great quality work. I had Invisalign completed and full mouth veeners placed and I am so pleased with my smile now; I can’t stop smiling. The front office staff and assistant were patient, kind and supportive with me because I am a dental coward. As a new patient coming from a referral from a co-worker, I also received a $50 credit toward any service. I am going to tell all my friends to come to my dentist. They are all great. THANK HEAVEN!.
