My grandson has a mild intellectual disability as well as adjustment disorder with disturbance in emotion and in the past has had a difficult time (putting it mildly) with any type of medical/dental treatment.  I put off taking him to the dentist for 3-1/2 years because the last time he went was so terribly traumatic for him and the thought of putting him through another experience like that was awful. But I finally decided it was time to get his dental health in order so I made an appoappointment with Brevard Pediatric Dental Associates. ( his previous visits were with a dentist in Delaware) I was scared for him and he was frightfrightened so say the least.  We went in and were called back with Carol. She was amazing! She took the time to talk to Cameron for an hour developing a rapport and explaining everything to him on his level until he was comfortable and somewhat at ease.  She then took him to meet Kandy who also was amazing!  She as well took the  time to talk to him about things he is interested in and talked to him about x-rays and teeth cleaning until he was comfortable and then introduced him to Dr. Milo.  Again, Amazing!!.  In the end we were there for 2-1/2 hours but when he was done getting x-rays, his teeth cleaned and learning about dental health he left with a smile on his face,  no cavities,  and had made 3 new friends who he will willing and unafraid visit again in 6 months!  This is huge for Cameron.  I highly recommend this practice to anyone with young children whether they have special needs or not.  These folks are the best!

My daughter has been going to Dr. Milo’s office since she was 3. (she’s now 15)  I cant say enough about Dr Milo and the staff.  Very good, practical, professional people.  Just be aware that parents are not allowed in back during the cleaning/procedure.  When they explained their reasons, it made sense.  I will admit it was hard for me to sit in the waiting room, at first during the first few visits, because I could hear my daughter cry.  But she quickly learned that it doesn’t last long, they are all nice people & mom is there when it is all done.  They are firm but compassionate with those that are scared of the dentist world.   (I have a feeling that those that give a low rating are probably used to getting their own way, always being accommodated and sugar coating the problem)  
Anyways,  I highly recommend Dr Milo and his staff.

My two kids have been going to Dr. Milo and Dr. Esser since birth and now they are 12 and 13.  They are amazing practitioners and know what they are doing.  The staff that work there are super organized and very professional.  Clinical staff are very friendly and love to educate my kids on proper dental care.  I really have not experienced anything negative.  I highly recommend going to see them!!!
