Have been unable to see a dentist for a couple years now – I was so very much pleased with my first experience at Brilliant Dental and Dr. Sam! Office is clean, modern, new equipment, wonderful staff, thorough, caring and sound evidence based dentistry :).  Superb bedside manner – comfortable atmosphere – I am looking forward to years of dental care with Dr. Sam and the brilliant group!  As a physician – I feel very confident with this review.  Thanks brilliant dental!

I’ve been going to Brilliant Dental for over five years and there are some compelling reasons for that… amazing bedside manner, focus on preventative care (always recommending new techniques to help make maintenance a habit, but without the guilt trip), staying current and knowledgeable in the field and sharing that information, making appointments is a breeze and they do their best to remind me (text or call) even with updates due to schedule changes so I’m not inconvenienced or kept waiting. Excellent care from such a warm, friendly group of professionals… I would recommend if you’re looking for a dentist in the area.

Dr. Sami Hersel is phenomenal. I have been going to him for around 5 years. He is always on-time, professional, knowledgeable and an extremely competent Doctor overall. From regular check-ups/cleanings to more complicated procedures, Dr. Hersel always provides the best service and his work is absolute perfection. He makes time for his patients regardless of how busy his schedule is.

I love this place!!! Dr.Hersel and his staff rock! Dr.Hersel is just amazingly great at what he does he is very caring and understanding and truly compassionate to what he does his work is outstanding! After seeing many dentist throughout my past years I can totally say Dr. hersel is very honest kind and trustworthy and instead of feeling nervous once you’re in the dental chair you feel comfortable and sane, Alyssa the back office assistant is very nice and funny I love how she eases the nerves by being so charismatic at talking and going on about her stories I love it,Emily the front office receptionist is the sweetest yet very professional and very explanatory when it comes to treatments and insurance stuff they are all so very welcoming every time I go in I feel like I’m coming to my second home, the environment is very clean and relaxing btw love your guys’s pandora playlist, thank you so much. Brilliant Dental for doing Awesome at what you do see you guys soon for 6month checkup! Highly recommend this place to everyone Dr.Hersel is the best Dentist ever and his team!!!!!

Dr. Sami and his team are the BEST! I’ve been going to him for over 18 years. I’ve referred several friends to him. My son is 14, he’s been going to Dr. Sami since he was 4 or 5. He’s a master at his craft. Super ethical, going to him feels like hanging with family. If you’re in Burbank, definitely check him out!

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Hersel for over 12 years. I have referred numerous friends and acquaintances without hesitation; always resulting in positive feedback. Dr. Hersel and staff are professional, knowledgeable and personable to every patient, which makes each appointment a positive experience. Every procedure is explained thoroughly and my questions and concerns have always been addressed with honesty and patience. Over the years, the staff at Brilliant Dental have become like family to us, and I am grateful that we no longer dread dental visits. My family and I highly recommend Dr. Hersel and staff for all your dental hygiene needs. You won’t be sorry.

My regular dentist was on vacation when I had a dental emergency. I called Brilliant Dental Group and talked to Emily. I was scared but she reassured me everything would be fine. Dr. Hersel saw me a couple of hours later. He took a quick look in my mouth and knew exactly what was wrong and the issue got fixed. He was so knowledgeable, yet he explained everything in layman’s terms. He also convinced me that it was time to get my wisdom teeth extracted, which I had been avoiding for years. I expected the worst and the procedure ended up being as pleasant as tooth extraction could ever be, crazily enough! They made sure I healed properly and quickly and even called a few weeks later to make sure I was still ok. I’m so glad that’s out of the way! I cannot recommend Dr Hersel and his staff more! Needless to say, he is my dentist now!

I’m not a fan of dentists. Though I do believe oral hygiene should be at the top of everyone’s priority lists, it’s hard to find a dentist you can trust. Dr. Hersel is amazing. He is very gentle and honest. He will not overcharge or suggest services that are completely unnecessary. The office staff are equally as amazing. My husband and I do not live in Burbank, but are willing to make the 30 minute drive to see Dr. Hersel. We strongly recommend him to family and friends!

I had not gone to a dentist for years. Had grown up with braces and thought I could avoid seeing one until the worst toothache came on me. Went I went to Dr. Hersel, I immediately told him “no offense, but, I don’t like dentist”. He assured me that I’m one of many and proceeded to be the most gentlest and nicest dentist I ever met. I now go see “the dentist” regularly.

Dr. Hersel is an amazing dentist!  I have been a patient for the last 3 years. Dr. Hersel and his staff are always pleasant and accommodating!  When I had to have an emergency temporary crown placed, he able to get me in the same day and went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of and I had minimal discomfort!

Growing up I was always afraid to go to the dentist because it always hurt and I never fully understood what was happening or why they were drilling into my teeth. When I found Dr. Sami Hersel and his team I couldn’t have felt any luckier. I am no longer afraid to go to the Dentist because I know that with Doctor Hersel I am safe. He is very honest about his practice and if he doesn’t feel comfortable performing something on you, then he will recommend you to a specialist. His whole team is very caring  about how comfortable you feel with any procedure from anything like cleanings to wisdom teeth removal. They are very involved in your dental plan  and they will always make sure you understand how everything works, why something happened to you and what you can do to prevent any further problems. I couldn’t say enough about Dr. Hersel and his team, except that I am very grateful I found a Dentist that I enjoy coming to, despite the possible cavities. They always go above and beyond for their patients, they are very kind, detailed, attentive and the list could go on . Its nice to know that i dont have to be afraid of my dentist or dental visits.

I am a new patient,Dr Hershel repaired a veneer that no one else could,and looks like it new again.He is very informative and tells it like it is to me.Emily and Alisa are very friendly and professional and I feel comfortable.I actually met them at a Glendale Unified District health fair and received a complementary night guard for attending and going in for a visit.I highly recommend Brilliant Dental Group to all other district employees and everyone else as well. Best dentist office in Southern CA. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hersel’s for over 12 years. He corrected several botched dental procedures and has help set me on a path of good oral health. He’s knowledgeable on the newest dental procedures and techniques. The Brilliant staff is friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Hersel and his staff are so welcoming that you forget the fear you had before walking into the dentist office. He explains the problem and treatment option very clearly so you can make an informed decision. I highly recommend Brilliant Dental Group and will refer my friends and family to them!

First, I need to let you know that my last visit to the dentist was back in 2012 (for cavities) and before that, it was back in 2008 (wisdom teeth extraction). Did I fear and despise the dentist? Yes, and it’s all thanks to my childhood dentist/orthodontist who never waited for my Novocaine to kick in. But I knew I had to face my fear soon; I was extremely overdue for a check-up and root canal work. I met Dr. Hersel’s team at a company health clinic event and thought, “Why not?” I am so glad I took a leap of faith! Dr. Hersel and his team are a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Emily is the receptionist and has been fantastic following up with appointment reminders. Alyssa is the dentist assistant (I’m not sure if that’s the correct term) and is always so friendly when she sees me. There are a lot of moments when I’m in the room alone with her and rather than being awkwardly silent, she always makes the environment warm and easy-going by talking to you, like a human and not as a patient who just gives da money! She also gives honest opinions/feedback and takes time to answer my questions. Ah, and Dr. Hersel. Everyone on the team knew how much I feared the dentist and he in particular was always making sure I was first and foremost COMFORTABLE and pain-free during my procedures. “Lift your hand up if you feel any pain.” When I do, he gives me more Novocaine right away. He’s also making sure to pause during the procedure to ask if I’m feeling okay rather than silently going about his work. Like Alyssa, Dr. Hersel takes time to answer my questions and go in-depth with his explanations. He also lists all options for my treatment so he knows what my options are rather than sneakily going for the more expensive route (let’s be honest, there are many doctors out there who do this!). In terms of his work, Dr. Hersel is a perfectionist. I can tell how extremely careful and picky he is by making sure steps are completed with great care. I’m so thankful Brilliant Dental Group is so close to my office but even if they weren’t, I’d sit through LA traffic for them. So glad my worries over the dentist are over for GOOD!

Staff is very courteous and personable. Dr. Hersel is a big advocate of preventative dental care and takes the time to explain things in detail. Dr. Hersel and Alyssa are very attentive during my cleanings, whether it’s stopping a few times to ask me about my discomfort level or ensuring my mouth isn’t overflowing with drool, which I appreciate. Never needed to worry about parking for the new office since the office has its own parking lot and there’s lots of parking during my appointments (usually @ noon). Office is clean as well.

I’ve been a customer for about 5 years now and I love Dr Hershel and his team. I’ve never been a fan of going to the cold, unforgiving dentist chair, but with Brilliant Dental I actually look forward to my visits. Emily and Yadi at the front desk are always welcoming and fun to talk to, as well as nice to look at ;). Aida does a great job distracting me with her stories as she’s putting drills and other machinery in my mouth. She is great at what she does and always checks if I’m comfortable. Alyssa is always there to assist everyone and is genuinely a nice person and a joy to be around. Dr Hershel always welcomes me and talks to me about my life. He has much personality to him which is sometimes hard to find with your dentist. I think it just shows how much I appreciate Brilliant Dental when I know the entire staff by name and drive 30 miles to go see them every time I visit. Thanks Brilliant Dental, keep up the excellent work!

I truly struggle with seeing the dentist. I met these folks through a health fair at work and thought, “why not?” I was overdue for a check up anyway. The appointment process was easy and they even stayed late for me. The receptionist was very friendly. I arrived to my appointment and was immediately taken back for X-rays and exam. Dr. Hershel addressed many issues that I was dealing with including severe TMJ and muscular pain. He was honest and realistic. After being quoted $4700 by another clinician I was weary about this new guy! I’m so glad that I trusted him. He is really great! He did a thorough airway and skull analysis and his sweetheart assistant, Alyssa took compressions for a mouth guard. The dreaded cleaning was quick and the hygienist Aida was always asking if I was comfortable. She gave me a few shots and before I knew it, the ordeal was over! Emily and Alyssa even helped me with billing since I was switching insurance policies. I like a business who keeps patients first, before pay checks. I’ll continue to make the drive from Century City to see these guys.

This office  has a great staff, two professional n friendly ladies in the front. Once I went in to get my major tooth ache e takin care of, Dr. Hersel explained the xrays to me. He could have charged me for a root canal, instead he diligently and carefully opted to do a lining at the nerve then a filling . Ive been to dentists and dental office before, this is the first doctor that ever took his time to explain and show me the condition, also instead of asling for more money and going for a root canal, he unselfishly did what worked in my favor.Needless to say, the staff here is  BrillianT, very sweet, warm and friendly.
It feels good leaving a dental office happy 🙂
