I’ve always had short teeth with visible gaps in between. When I finally got a chance to transform my smile, I’ve done a LOT of search looking for the right Dentist that I can trust. Dr Ahmado was among the Dentist that I visited for an initial consultation. He did a thorough examination and check up of all my teeth. He very honest, professional and answered all my questions. I really appreciated the fact that he didn’t try to rush my questions along and took all his time to explain to me everything about the ginvevectomy and the veneers procedure. For the first time, I felt that I wasn’t treated like in a dealership, contrary to my experience in most other offices: He didn’t pressure me to get the procedure done with him, nor did any sales. All what he wanted is to make sure, I understand my options vigorously and make my decision based on my level of trust. We started with gingevectomy first, which went very smoothly, then we moved to the veneers procedure during which he was very patient with me. He also followed up regularly on my healing process. You have no choice but to leave with a perfect smile since he will NOT put on the permanents until you say they are perfect in color, shape, and size! He literally assured me that he would work with me until I was happy with my results. I just completed the treatments and I couldn’t be happier! A true artist, who has changed my life. I highly recommend Dr Ahmado. He will definitely exceed your expectations!

EXCELLENT. Finally I found a dentist I can trust with my teeth and my money, my visit was very smooth and educational, Dr. Bashar Ahmedo was great in all aspect, smiling, caring and very very educational, he took all the time to explain what I need procedure wise and the reason why. He offered me options in treatment and his manager offered me options in payments and helped me deciding which route I want to go. the staff are very cool and funny, I am not a big fan of dentists office but it is one of these things we have to deal with, been to so many dental offices and so far this is the best.

My visit to Dr. Ahmedo’s office was very pleasant.  I went for a general cleaning & x-rays, and to address a TMJ disorder problem.  Dr. Ahmedo was very professional and polite.  He outlined my options to correct the TMJ disorder, and described the process thoroughly.  I appreciated that the doctor took the time to help me fully understand the disorder and its options for correction.  I am glad that I have found my new dentist.

I was really nervous to get a root canal done and everyone was very nice. Dr. Ahmedo made sure nothing was bothering me during the root canal. I’m going back a week from today to get a post and crown on the same tooth and I am not nervous to go anymore after my experience today!

Just went to Dr. Bashar Ahmedo for regular check-up and cleaning. Both the Office Manager (Allie) and my dental hygienist (believe her name was Dee) were friendly and professional. Dr. Bashar was extremely informative about the current state of my teeth (I learned I definitely grind my teeth at night) and provided options to help me preserve the health of my teeth. Based on his calm, assuring, and knowledgeable input, I decided to get a night guard which will be fitted for my teeth/mouth (remember, the goal here is to actually use it). Allie checked with my insurance and I knew exactly how much I would be responsible for at the end of my visit. I also had Dr. Ahmedo fix 3 of my teeth that had missing enamel near the gum line, due to the forces of my teeth grinding (he was the first dentist to explain how this happens and his details were very clear). I was super nervous about getting the numbing shots (I had never had one of those before), but Dr. Ahmedo did a terrific job and all went superb! I absolutely would recommend Dr. Bashar Ahmedo and his staff (I went to the Sorrento Valley location).

I always hated going to the dentist so I tended to put it off unless necessary. Had a chipped wisdom tooth, and went in to see Dr Ahmedo after two other consultations. He tells you what you need and what the right thing is to do, not what you want to hear or what may put more money in his pocket. Over the past 6 months, I had three wisdom teeth pulled at once, and experienced much less pain than expected (before or after). I told Dr Ahmedo I wanted my teeth “right” and trusted his judgement. I’ve since gotten a full deep cleaning through him, and now a crown. Him and his staff are super friendly, thorough, and honest. I hated the dentist prior to finding him, and now I genuinely look forward to seeing him to maintain a healthy mouth and work towards a “prefect smile”.

Okay – anyone who knows me, knows I don’t have any fears and I pretty much have a high tolerance for pain…Except for toothaches. And wouldn’t you know it? My only fear in this world are dentists. The one person who can relieve my worst pain. Ugh. So I made an appointment with Dr. Ahmedo from reading all the yelp reviews (I actually called 3 different docs, but they were the first to respond) The staff’s wonderful, very friendly and professional. Background music – old school/hip hop (Yay!) Dr. Ahmedo – great sense of humor, makes you feel relaxed, and he’s easy on the eyes (what? I aint gonna lie) I didn’t expect to have anything done on my first visit, but my pain threshold was past its limit, so root canal and whatever needed to be done was done. I was gonna opt to extract the molar but he said he could save it, so I went with it. The needles, drilling, whatever else they did were far less painful than the throbbing pain of my exposed nerve so I’m so glad I went. Very positive experience, only negative thing I can think of is – the doc likes house music. But at least he wasn’t playing it during my appointment 😉 I highly recommend them for general dentistry or if you want that million dollar smile – The man’s an artist with some serious skills. I’ve never had to have any dental work done on my teeth (never had a cavity), and so it was with some trepidation that I finally had to deal with a cracked molar tooth. Dr. Ahmedo and his staff were very professional, and calming and took extra steps in explaining the process of how to deal with the problem and provide solutions. I was told by a different dentist over 4 years ago that I had a cracked tooth and that I would need a crown and that I needed to deal with the problem or risk losing the tooth eventually. Of course I avoided the problem for four years since it didn’t bother me. Now, however, four years later it was causing regular pain (don’t procrastinate on dental issues) and the crack now had a cavity. So I went to Dr. Ahmedo to have it finally dealt with. Dr. Ahmedo and his staff took extra care and went the extra mile to provide the best possible solution for the situation. My understanding is that often these types of cases often go straight to a root canal, but they have taken every step to try and avoid that, and save the molar tooth too. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmedo as a dentist. He is very knowledgeable and explained my situation to me clearly, and what the possible options were for solving the problem. His staff is helpful, calming, and very professional.
