I have been seeing Dr. Tjoa since I was in sixth grade, and I still trust her and the staff for regular cleanings and advice. Nym is a wonderful, courteous hygienist who listens well and cares for everyone so patiently. He is especially great for those with sensitive teeth or gums. I highly recommend the personal care and the pristine office of Dr. Tjoa and staff!

This is a top notch Dental Practice and a 5 star experience. I was impressed from the moment I walked in, literally — this office has the most beautiful ambience / decor I have ever seen at a doctor’s office, hands down.. even the music impressed, and I felt really relaxed and at ease, like I was at a high end spa. Dr. Tjoa is wonderful! They really spend time with you here and pay attention to every small detail.. Cheri did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and its the first time I can ever report feeling no pain at all during a teeth cleaning. Glad to have found a home base for dentistry here in H-town!

I haven’t looked forward to seeing the dentist since high school. It seems like every dentist office I’ve been too never made an effort to actually build a relationship with their patients. Not BRSH Dental though! I highly recommend this office if you need dental services. Not only will they take care of you, but they’ll also take the time to get to know you. Although I couldn’t see their full faces because COVID has become the new normal, I could definitely hear their smiles shine through their masks every time they spoke with me. 10/10 for their customer service!

Dr. Tjoa’s office is amazing! I was looking for a dentist in town for a while and finally found her – she’s located in the Montrose area within big shopping center complex (2nd floor across a walkway from Pondicherri), so there’s always more than enough covered garage parking when I visit. I’ve had appointments with two hygienists, Cherri and Nym, both of whom are incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and easy to talk to. Both were also very invested in my long-term dental care and also open to teaching me more about my current conditions and options for treatment. Everyone on staff that I’ve interacted with (Cherri, Nym, Dr. Tjoa, Dana, April, and Noemi) has been incredibly friendly and patient with my questions and concerns, which can be hard to find in any dental provider. I feel incredibly lucky to have found the right dentist for me after a nightmare experience with another dentist a few years ago and look forward to continuing and improving my dental health with Dr. Tjoa’s team.

Dr. Tjoa, Dr. Morency, the hygienists, and all the staff at BRSH are all wonderful–really caring and thoroughly competent. Also, the office is clean and light and comfortable. This is the one dentist’s office I’ve found that I don’t feel anxious in. I live across the country now, but I make sure to schedule an appointment here whenever I come home. I just don’t want to go anywhere else.

From booking my first appointment until the end of my visit, this has easily been one of the most pleasurable dental visits I’ve had in my life. Upon entry, it looks as a luxury interior design store but nonetheless it is indeed a dentist office unlike any other. The staff were smiling, kind and informative. My dental hygienist, Michelle, was thorough, knowledgeable, and provided quality care for my teeth. She explained in detail what she was doing and why she was doing it. I must say my teeth have never felt cleaner. Dr. Tjoa is friendly, precise, and created a home-like feel from the decor to the staff while maintaining professionalism. I am highly satisfied and will highly recommended her office to my friends and colleagues. Thank you for an incredible experience. PS) They even give you an nice to-go bag !

I’d been looking for the right dentist for a while and I was so lucky to find BRSH. First, their offices are gorgeous and make you feel like you are at a spa or lounge. All of the staff members are beyond nice and welcoming, especially April. I usually have Sally as my hygienist. She is extremely thorough, super knowledgeable and very patient with my anxiety. She’s also funny and makes the experience fly by. Last time, due to scheduling issues, Sabrina did my cleaning. I couldn’t believe how gentle was since I’m so sensitive … and anxious 🙁 I’ve heard all of the hygienists are great and you can’t go wrong. Dr. Tjoa is a joy and does a wonderful job of explaining things in an understandable way and offering real solutions. She has a great demeanor and makes the visit pleasant. I am very pleased and proud to be a client of BRSH. PS: The movie selection is great and watching something really seems to help keep my mind off the dental work.

First of all I thought I was in the wrong place because it looks like a waiting area for Houston’s celebrity elite! Heck I’m elite too! The place is visually stunning, I couldn’t believe all the drab dentist offices I’d been to prior, these people set the bar high. Not only is the place esthetically pleasing but the personnel were actually nice… I mean genuinely nice and not the snobby kind that you’d expect walking into such a beautiful place. I actually wanted to just hang out with the staff including my dentist! Very professional yet approachable people, all of them. My smile got a new lease of life! This place is everything!!!

Who likes going to the dentist? The sight of the metal scraper, the sound of the dental drill, the feel of a numbing needle, having to suck on a tube to get rid of fluids in your mouth, the lectures about flossing. Is it safe to answer “no one?” But we all have to go sometime, I have been a loyal patient of Dr. Tjoa’s for four years now and don’t plan on going to another dentist while I am in Houston. Her office is not even near me, but I make the drive into town to see her and her knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr. Tjoa and staff know their stuff and utilize the latest state of the art technology to diagnose and explain everything to you so you can understand it. They welcome questions in case you don’t. They give you alternative treatment plans depending on your goals and financial situation. If you need a crown, they sometimes can even get it done without the need for a temporary. BRSH Dental may not be your cheapest option. Hopefully you have a good dental insurance provider. The staff does a good job of providing estimates and telling you the likelihood that a claim will go through. You get your money’s worth though and I am satisfied with the checkups, cleanings, and work I have had to get done at Dr. Tjoa’s. The new office is really posh and nice. On the one hand, you think to yourself, “so this is where my money is going.” On the other hand, the office offers cosmetic dentistry, so it does reassure you that they are concerned about and good at making things look good, whether it be their elegant work environment or your smile. All of my appointments have ended with a couple of fresh baked cookies greeting me at the receptionist’s desk on the way out. Don’t worry. You get a bag with a toothbrush, mini-tube of toothpaste, and floss to make sure that cookie doesn’t create any new cavities.

Just switched to brsh. I had a crown and deep cleaning procedure done. They had me in and out in a couple of hours. The staff is very friendly and explained every step of the process. The office is well appointed and they even give patients movie glasses so that you don’t have to stare aimlessly while getting work done. I’ve never felt loyal to a dentist, but do now. Would highly recommend.

Dr Tjoa and her staff make me feel at ease, the atmosphere is incredibly soothing, and I feel well-cared-for every time I go. My four kids also see Dr. Tjoa and love her. We’ve used every hygienist there, and they are all amazing. I love the Cavitron device that they use to do the cleaning… it’s like a pressure washer and eliminates the “nails-on-chalkboard’ scraping sound and doesn’t hurt at all.

Dr Tjoa is an incredible dentist compared to my previous dentist. She and her team is pleasant, prompt, funny and professional. I have been going to Dr. Tjoa for many years now. She is very competent and provides excellent dental care. Her staff is awesome too!! I have recommended her to many people at work who are also happy with her and her team. The hours they work are helpful to those of us who work also, so we can go before or after our work. I know that everyone thinks that having dental work isn’t really fun, but they do every thing that they can to make you comfortable….video to watch, nitrous oxide if you need it, cookies when you are done, and a new toothbrush and toothpaste to brush that cookie right out of your teeth!!! I love Dr. Tjoa and her staff and would never go anywhere else!!!

I absolutely love my new dentist in Houston. The office is elegant and the staff are beyond friendly. April will go out of her way to make sure she can fit you into their schedule. Shelly, dental assistant, is a true gem. Coming from the Washington, D.C. area, it was imperative that I find a dentist who cares about their patients. My husband and I love this Dentist! I avoided seeing a dentist for a very long time out of fear. When I finally worked up the courage, I went to Dr. Tjoa after recommendations from coworkers. They are amazing! Dr. Tjoa, Nym my hygienist, and every other member of the staff go out of their way to make me comfortable. I have seen them for regular cleanings and other work like fillings. I have never had anything less than an outstanding experience. And when Dr. Tjoa says you should get a night guard, get the night guard. Don’t wait for a major problem to occur like I did. I never really write reviews nor do I ever publicly rate businesses, but the experience that My girlfriend and I had was amazing. Being that my girlfriend had not been to a dentist in a while the staff was extremely helpful and courteous, starting with the set up of the appointment over the phone with Dana, and on June 8th the day of the appointment April started off our visit with a smile. Once it was time to go to the back the hygienist Sally she’s a whoot , she made my girlfriend very comfortable about her visit. Meeting Dr. Tjoa was great she explained all of what was going to take place and reassured us that she was in great hands. The service was excellent. April made sure that at the end of the vist that we were satisfied, she also did a follow up call to see if my girlfriend was ok…. I will definitely be back as a patient myself . This place is amazing.

I have been going to BRSH Dental for about 3 years now after being recommended by a friend. The place is wonderful from the beginning when you book an appointment to the end when you are finished with your service. Location: Located on the 2nd floor in the Upper Kirby shopping center where Tootsie’s is. Very easy to find and get to! Plus, if you need to run any other errands, you are close to everything. Parking: EASY! There is free self parking in the garage which is a huge plus. During lunchtime and dinner time it may get a little busy, but I’ve always been able to locate a spot in the basement. Atmosphere: This isn’t your regular dentist office… you walk in and think you might be in a really nice plastic surgeon’s office. Very nicely decorated and always clean. Front Desk Staff: April is the receptionist and she is always nice and easy to work with. If you are having any work done, she quickly comes up with an out of pocket expense report based on insurance coverage. This is really nice because there isn’t a surprise bill at the end. Hygienist: This is what makes me come back every time. Nym is the BEST! A friend specifically recommended him about 3 years ago and I have been getting my teeth cleaned and healthified by him ever since. He is very gentle and extremely knowledgeable about different products and techniques to address any problems. He also is extremely friendly and easy to have a conversation with! Even though I only see him a few times a year, he always remember what I have been up to. Tech: I had to a have a night guard made because I grind my teeth at night. Naturally my teeth were difficult to get a good impression of, but the staff was extremely nice and accomdating of my schedule since I had to go back a couple of times for impressions or to try on the nightguard. They definitely wanted to get me a product that fit well and did it’s job. Plus every time you go in for a cleaning, they will clean your night guard for free which is nice. Dentist: Dr. Tjoa is very friendly and thorough. I haven’t had any procedures that have required too much interaction, but when she comes to check on any problem spots she has always been great. Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough! If you are looking for a good hygienist, Nym is your guy!

Finally! A positive (and dare I say luxurious?) dental experience. I really had no idea, until I met Dr. Tjoa and her dental hygienist Sabrina, of what a thorough examination and cleaning felt like. You see, I thought it was the norm to feel miserable and rushed through the examination and not really have your questions answered. I also thought it was normal to spend more time sitting in the waiting room meeting with the doctor (ugh, clinics). I now know that Dr. Tjoa and her staff not only ensure you are comfortable but they are upfront about costs, don’t make you wait a ridiculous amount of time and they are courteous enough to thoroughly answer your questions and address your concerns. I am really pleased with my experience and the free cookies at the end….who doesn’t like free cookies?!

Let me start by saying that I loathe the idea of going to the dentist. I used to listen to headphones just to drown out the sound of the metal against bone. That being said, BRSH turned that whole experience around for me. I’ve been seeing Dr. Tjoa for about 9 years. She saved my teeth!! After repeated cavities in my late teens and early twenties, I was referred to Dr. Tjoa by a friend and she explained how my bite had worn down the enamel on my teeth. My previous dentist had continued to fill my cavities, telling me my teeth were fine and I was probably just grinding at night. A year of braces and I haven’t had cavities since!! Everyone at this office is wonderful. The front office staff are well organized and friendly, and you will not get a better cleaning anywhere; the hygienists at this dental office are both knowledgeable and very thorough. The office itself is clean and inviting. You really feel cared about as a patient here.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tjoa’s for about 6 years now. I have had nothing less than A+ treatment since day one. Dr. Tjoa is super friendly with a joyful character all around but at the same time knowledgeable, professional, and to the point. What I like the most, it that I am always kept well informed of my treatment, Dr. Tjoa always lets me know exactly what I need and why. I never feel pressured, all treatment decisions have always been mine, 100%. My hygenist Nym is, in my opinion, the best of the best. Not only is he patient, kind, and relaxed but he is absolutely fantastic at what he does, always very gentle and attentive. The front office receptionists, always make me feel welcome; I love that they know me by name. Considering this is in fact a dental office that for most would be a scary experience, BRSH is indeed a rarity; every person (dentist, hygenists, receptionists) that forms a part of this dental practice is simply fantastic! So glad Dr. Tjoa’s practice is a part of our great city.
