Where can I start…. Dr. Sumarauw is great. I had to have a few crowns put on and her bedside manner was great throughout the whole 3 hour appointment. They even have netflix for you to watch while they work on your mouth! They even called me to come in a few weeks earlier earlier when they had a cancellation (my appointment was about 3 weeks out). The best part about this place though is they can print your crown right there the same day – it takes about 40 minutes. You don’t have to wait several weeks for them to send it off to a facility to be made, and have it come back like most traditional dentists offices. I really like this place, all of the ladies that work there are really nice. I’m glad I finally found a good dentist in the SLC area. Pricing is pretty average too, and they accept a wide variety of insurance carriers. The one thing I didn’t like is that they aren’t super flexible on billing for more expensive services (ex. crowns) and for that reason I removed a star, although I understand why they do this – afterall, they are a business. They expect payment in full upon the completion of your appointment.

I thought that some pain was a part of getting cavities filled, based on other dentists offices I had been to. It always hurt some, and the dentists acted like that was normal. They would only help w/more medicine if it was unbearable. At cadenza the dentist eliminated the pain I usually felt when having cavities filled. They will give you more novocaine and wait until you won’t experience pain during the procedure. They numb your gums before giving you the shot, too. Its a blessing that I found them. This is the best dentists office I have ever been to. The staff is caring and they offer a wide range of services. I have worked with all the hygenists and both of the dentists, and all of them were extremely pleasant. They let you watch movies while you get your teeth worked on. They have cosmetic and sedation dentistry in addition to the normal stuff. They have given me really good product recommendations based on my dental health issues. The office sends you text messages to let you know you are due for a check up. There are interesting materials in the waiting area. The office has never been ‘running late’ so I always get in and out in the time they specified beforehand. There is an element of comfort in going to an all-female dentist office for me as well.

I just started going to Cadenza, and the staff are excellent. I had two fillings done today for the first time, and the hygienist was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. They served coconut water to me before my appointment started, and the dental chair also was a massage chair! I even was asked what I wanted to watch on Netflix during my appointment. This place is more like a dental spa! Cindy is excellent, and I love recommending her.

I initially sent my daughter to Dr. Sumarauw and she raved about the way they treated her so I decided to give them a try. The whole office staff are pleasant and professional. My Dental Hygienist is awesome and so is Dr. Sumarauw. I’ve been going to them for a couple of years now and they have handled cleanings, fillings and even pulling a wisdom tooth. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Updated* 12/12/16 We absolutely adore Dr. Cindy as we affectionately call her at our office. She has treated at least 7 other friends and family after I started going to her. She stays up to date on all the latest treatments and is often traveling to learn new techniques. She is non-judgemental and as someone who had teeth issues in the past I think that is so important. Her staff is friendly and makes each visit pleasant. Love the office manager Amanda who told me “I’ve already updated your insurance info” before I even came in to the office I’d recommend them to anyone!!

Such a great experience! And this is coming from a VERY nervous Nelly when it comes to the dentist. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Dr Cindy Sumarauw put my nerves at ease and was very understanding. She took the time explaining everything to me. I appreciate that. Although I was scared, I really felt like I was in the best hands. I totally trust her. I’m so happy that I’ve found them. I think I’ve finally found my forever dentist!

Staff was very helpful getting me in immediately. The dentist was very knowledgeable and helped me to make the right decision to save my tooth. She sent me to a great endodontist and periodontist in order to get the pre-dental work done before she could do her work. I am new to the area and Cadenza Dental is my family dentist from now on. Thank you.

They are so nice at this location! I’ve been worked on by every member of the staff and all were so nice. Its an all female staff so if you prefer that then go to cadenza. They really make sure you aren’t experiencing any pain before they fill a cavity, something that basically no other dentist has done for me. Usually they let you be in some pain because it would take forever to administer more medicine and wait, but they pull out all the stops for you at cadenza. They let you watch netflix while they work on your teeth, and send you text messages to remind you of appointments. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Dr Sumarauw is AMAZING! I’ve been seeing her for a couple of years now. She’s so sweet, caring, and friendly. Really makes you feel at home. In a dentist office kind of way. She’s also the best dentist for kids. I was taking the little ones to a pediatric dentist thinking they would like the office environment there because it’s for children… I was so wrong. They had zero patience for them. They were so scared. Dr. Sumarauw explains everything to them so well. My son told my daughter he didn’t even get a shot in his mouth, when he totally did, I saw it! She truly is the best!!

I had a wonderful experience at my dental visit. I was really crunched for time and they got me in the day before Thanksgiving, right before they were going to close. The office was super clean and I felt really safe. The staff were really friendly and they worked very well as a team. Shaelene did a great job cleaning my teeth. She even helped me understand what causes certain issues such as tarter buildup. Dr. Sumarauw was so very helpful in explaining to me some of the issues that I have with the wearing of my enamel. I will definitely return!

Dr. Samarauw and her staff are friendly and seem to really know their stuff! I was in to get some cavities filled, they made me feel comfortable, and Dr. Samarauw checked in with me throughout the procedure to make sure I was OK. We were done in no time, I think it is the fastest filling I have ever gotten! I would definitely recommend this dentist to my friends and family!

wow, what a great experience! definitely a 5 star… vibrating massage chair and a comedy on netflix helped my jitters after the news and view of a cavity, so close to nerve a root canal possibility was pending.. quick, painless numbing calmed my needle phobia. Soon we were all laughing (which isnt easy with a drill in ones mouth) i was able to witness on the screen the actual tooth ready for filling. Good news, no root canal needed! Good job dear doctor and assistants! even the price was painless. my mouth feels You did it again, Cadenza -professional perfection.

I won the bid on a teeth cleaning at an auction that Dr. Sumarauw donated to a non-profit at least 5+ years ago. I’ve been going ever since – religiously – I used to be pretty lax about a cleaning every 6 months, now I never miss an appointment. I didn’t realize how much I would really like a female dentist – gentle hands, soothing voice, and fun to talk to. Everyone in the office is professional and down to earth– they know who I am and others in my family. It is so wonderful to tell people that I love my dentist!

I was so nervous to have my broken tooth pulled, that I wanted to be knocked out. The schedules didn’t work for that however, so I did it without the anesthesia. I felt comfortable that if something happened Dr Cindy would listen to me. The whole experience was great, no pain, they were extremely caring and compassionate- Thank you so much to the whole staff.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cadenza Family Dentistry (as much as you can enjoy yourself at the dentist). The staff was friendly. They answered all my questions, and explained things clearly as we went throughout the exam process. I needed a crown and Dr. Sumarauw was gentle and pleasant. She is personable and friendly. She kept me informed throughout the procedure. She does quick and reliable work. My only suggestion would be to apply some sort of moisturizer or Vaseline to the patient’s lips with a q-tip before a long procedure. My lips on the side we worked on are a bit raw. Overall great experience!

Going to the dentist is not at top of my list of things to do, but Dr. Cindy Sumarauw has made it much easier. You know once your in the chair (I really like the one that has all the heat and massage options) you know your in the hands of the best DDS MAGD in Utah. I’ve been going to Dr. Sumarauw for years, I was very fortunate to have met Dr. Sumarauw’s and her fantastic staff. Thanks to all Sharon Flores
