I was extremely hesitant before I went to my appointment today at 11am. Daniel, their rep, came out to talk to my company last year and made it sound wonderful! I had a few coworkers who have gone since his talk and were less than impressed with their service. Regardless, I needed to form my own opinion and followed through with my appointment today. Got there at 10:40, got checked in by an amazing front desk girl, filled out paperwork, got a tour of the office which has AMAZING amenities. Then I went straight in for my xrays, the tech was super nice and funny. Then I was put in a room and the dentist, a female who I can not unfortunately spell her name, came in immediately to check out my teeth. She was amazing, explained things thoroughly, and was very supportive. My teeth aren’t perfect by any means but there was no pressure to do any follow up work even though they recommended it. The front desk girl came in to explain my cost in detail and even gave me a copy of what we discussed. I have opted to go back for a deep cleaning so we will see how that goes. My entire time there was 40 minutes. My ONLY complaint was that there was some garbage on the floor. I noticed a blue glove, a wipe and a paper towel. I work in a medical facility so I get very particular about infection control. I like to see everything that is used on me to be brand new or sterilized.

Learned about California Smiles – Alamitos through an employee health fair. So i though hmmm i haven’t checked my teeth in a while, let me give it a try. Beautiful facility with so much amenities. Very Low key location. Love the staff. Very patient, compassionate and made sure that i was comfortable. Very generous staff that love what they do. The Hygienist made strong recommendations which were great. They pay close attention to details as well. We laughed joke and I got some cleaning and fill-ins done which ive have never done in my life. Never knew I could have this much fun at the dentist office. I highly recommend this dental office. the Best in Long Beach.

This dentist is amazeballs!!!!! Let me start by saying there in a chill location, easy to get too, easy to see. There staff is superrrrr friendly!! There’s a lot of employees that work here ( as I can see many of them walking around) and every single one acknowledges you, that’s nice for a change. I’m a person who HATES dentists… and hates the process of going to a dentist and having a bunch of stuff drilling my mouth , but these guys make u feel so good that they make u forget about the nervousness!!!! There really understanding of my needs and work around ALL OF THEM!!! I’m a person who asks ALOT of questions especially at the dentist and with a smile which is a biggie for me and a problem at most dentists… WITH A SMILE they answered and resolved every single one of them. It’s really nice to go somewhere your un sure of and have them convince you by just being knowledgeable. Did I mention they have a movie theatre room, huge waiting room, coffee drinks snacks, a video game room, & a “relaxation” room that has dimmed lighting plays soothing music & has massage chairs. Uhhhh i might just come here to chill shoooot! Soooo LONG STORY SHORT. GREAT STAFF. GREAT PLACE. GREAT SERVICE. THEY KEEP THERE APPOINMENts & on TIME! This will be me and my hubbys new dentist. So I need a dentist and I haven’t been to one in a really long time. Too long in fact. But low and behold this week I had a filling fallout. Before I get into that lets talk about how I got to California Smiles. Well a few months ago the ig account for California Smiles started following me. So I went to yelp to see what’s up. They looked cool and I knew I needed to make an appointment. Skip forward to my filling falling out. I called them yesterday and they literally had an appointment opening today Saturday. So I take it. I show up and wow this place is clean and well decorated, for a medical / dental facility. I fill out the paperwork and go on the tour. Um, they really have everything they say they do on the website. I chose to chill in the zen room. I just gotta say that is the best way to go. I got a massage while I played games on my iPad. I got X-rays. A lot of them. But I guess as a new patient they wanted to see exactly what is going on in that mouth of mine. And apparently a whole lot. But I kinda already knew that was coming. Today I got the filling taken care a deep cleaning and stearn talking to about my oral hygiene(I deserve it). Everyone at this place is top notch, you feel like a welcome guest. They seem to generally care about your well being and comfort through the whole process. I don’t remember everyone’s name but from the amount of work I need to get done I feel we will all be besties by the end of the year. I don’t know if you can tell but I love this place. And it is right around the corner from me. Can I give California Smiles some more stars?

My experience at California Smiles has always been positive. As soon as you walk in they great you with a smile. The front office always ensure your questions are answered. Today was my first time visit at California Smiles in Long Beach. I haven’t been to a dentist in a while so I was a little nervous. When I first walked in, the from desk was very professional. The receptionist showed me around the office and all the amenities that they had to offer. It included a coffee table with extra snacks, a game room, zen room and Etc. it was quit amazing. They told me it would be a few minutes to take my Information, and let me pick a room to hang out and relax until they were ready to take me in. Once it was time for my cleaning a lady hygienist came and told me she was going to start my cleaning. She did a great job!!! I loved that she was really gentle and knew I was really nervous. I felt really comfortable that she knew what she was talking about. She talked me through my whole cleaning and also went over flossing and brushing to prevent cavities. The doctor dentist was also very knowledgable himself. He also did a great job. He got straight to the point and made sure my cavity was taken care of correctly. I felt no pain at the moment or anytime after my appointment. I felt very comfortable at this dental office and I would highly recommend other people to check them out. They really stand out, out of all the other offices in the area. I didn’t have any insurance so I paid out of pocket. they are very reasonable with prices! Amazing dental office for all ages! Will be coming here from now on. Super happy with California Smiles.

It’s been a long time since I wrote a review. My and kids had appointments and California smile. Wow this place is awesome. While I filled out papers the kids got to venture into the teen zone where there was arcades and a theater I am absolutes floored at the beautiful office is. They are great with the kids and were very attentive to all our needs. The office manager Michael really went above and beyond with the service that was provided. Kids where provided drinks and snacks while I was getting my work finished off. They absolutely loved it and made me promise to bring them back here for there next appointment. Wow to have these kids looking forward to there next dental visit is amazing. California smiles is doing something right and we will definitely be back and recommend to anyone looking for a great dental office.

I just have to say I’m not much to be excited to go to the dentist but when I come to California smiles I’m always excited! The staff is so nice they make u feel at home they welcome you with a big and great SMILE I would recommend my friends and family that’s how welcoming they are. What can I say…I am blown away! Never in a million years did I expect to have such an amazing experience at the dentist. Earlier this year, I was a victim to an unfortunate incident that resulted in oral surgery that left my jaw wired shut for 6 weeks. Needless to say I was very nervous about going to the dentist post recovery. However, from the moment I walked through their doors I was made to feel right at home. I can’t wait to recommend this place to my family and friends.…oh and if you make the right choice to come here for your dental needs, make sure to check out their Zen Space. Really cool place and happy I made the switch here. Hear they just opened up so probably still looking for new patients, maybe that factors in why they really go out of their way to accommodate to their patients. I found out I had two cavities and they took what insurance would pay, and wave the rest– I’ve never had that happen, sweet stuff!! If you JUST HATE going to the dentist because a) you hate needles, b) the offices that you’ve been to in the past are sooo boring and the wait too long or c) dental prices are just to doggone high ! – well I’ve got a great place for you ! CALIFORNIA SMILES in Long Beach is incredible ! As soon as you step into the door, your anxieties quickly float away ! The staff are so friendly and Mike ( he prefers to be called by his first name ) will answer any question you may have . And don’t think you’ll have to wait in the waiting room ! You have a VARIETY of places to wait – a theatre room, playroom for children , a video game room for teens ( I seem to catch a few adults in there too) and my personal fav – THE ZEN ROOM . That room has massage chairs, soft music and comfortable lighting so you’re well relaxed and prepared for that ole dentist (giggle). I’ve been four times and have not had a disappointing experience yet ! A really great dental office !! Go drop by and see for yourself.

I was there last night and it was one of the greatest experiences I’ve had at a dental office ! I was treated very valued. The staff is amazing and very helpful and nice . They seem happy to be there 🙂 With my son’s interaction (3 years old) they allowed him to test the materials they would be using to check and clean his teeth this allowed him not to be afraid and be confident while having his check up! I’m very pleased with the ability of finding a new dentist place . They are very consistent ! Let’s not talk about the different rooms you are able to wait in instead of sitting around the waiting area doing nothing ! They have a kids corner – with different activities for the little ones, a teen center with pacman game, and television, a massage room (the massage the chairs give is very detailed and amazing), and a theater room with recline chairs to relax and enjoy the show ! It’s just a magnificent experience . I was the last customer last night and they were very please to help with all procedures without the intentions of just helping me in and out ! I would 100% recommend it !!!!

Ok so I HATE going to the dentist I mean who really enjoys it ? Well this was the best dental visit I have ever had EVER! I was greeted by the staff they told me I could wait in one of the amazing waiting rooms , Zen room has massage chairs and a amazing soothing environment , there was a theater room with a giant TV and theater chairs . A kids room and a arcade room . I mean really I could just live at this place . I actually only had a 5 min wait in the Zen room . The friendly staff took me to have X-rays . Then Michael came in to discuss what I needed done. OK so now for the part everybody hates the actual dental work . Well I got it all done in one session and the Dr was not heavy handed and very fast. I had a deep cleaning and 3 cavities :/ taken care of in one day . I hate when a dental office only does X-rays and one thing at a time for each visit . I got kids I don’t have time to come back here 3 or 4 times . They also took care of my 2 girls on another visit and it went so smooth . I was worried because my 6year old had a cavity but it was easy peasy she didn’t even cry . Sooo I can’t say how amazing this office was the Staff and the environment get 10 stars.

I was very impressed with the office itself. It is very clean and spacious, with different rooms, like a kids corner, teen center, theatre room with reclining chairs and a zen room with massaging chairs for patients who get anxiety. Simply. The. Best. This is seriously the best dental group I’ve ever experienced. From the fact they got me in early on a Saturday morning with a dental emergency, to the friendly staff, so thorough and precise while cleaning and taking care of an infection and the BIG Bonus is that they take the Care Credit card 0% for 12/24 mo’s. I’ve been waiting too long to take care of several crowns, filling cavities and getting my teeth straightened that I let to much pile up. What they’ve done now is provided me with a really comfortable plan of action that I can bite off in small portions… Pardon the pun. I didn’t anticipate being in the office quite so long on my initial visit so they provided me with a really healthy snack to make sure I didn’t pass out in the chair and I thought that was just top-notch treatment (That, and the fact they do not charge for the consultation and exam). I can’t say enough good things about them and I’m excited I found them. BTW I read such great Google reviews about them (5⭐️‘s) and that’s how I made my choice and that’s why I decided to leave a stellar review here for you.

The dentist is amazing. The door was closed when we arrived so we called and they miss on the phone said sorry we are just getting back from lunch and that was completely understandable. Seems weird to say, but I had an amazing experience at California smile. First off the staff was great. Knowable, friendly, clean and professional. I haven’t been to see a dentist in fifteen years so my mouth and teeth needed a lot of attention and work. Every step of the way the staff was helpful and encouraging. It really made me feel more comfortable when everyone from the X-ray technician, to the doctor, to the receptionist, all assured me everything was going to be fine. There’s nothing to be afraid or ashamed of. I have a unique financial situation(broke!) so it was looking rather difficult to start a treatment plan for my teeth. But with the combined efforts of four of the staffers we found a way to get most of the work I needed done on that visit with almost no out of pocket expense. I’m not saying they can do that for everybody in every situation but they will try. They want you to have a healthy smile that you’re proud of. I will be coming back for all my dental needs. Great snack cafe. Great kids area. Sweet video game arcade. Decent movie theater. Calming zen room with massage chairs. Also amazon fire sticks on each tv in each room. Pretty sweet

I came in for a tour of the facility. And it is quite beautiful. It’s equipped with so many amenities. It’s so comfortable and relaxing you forget you’re at a dentists office. A young man by the name of Fredy showed me around. He was so informative and inviting. So knowledgeable and friendly. There is nothing like having a great staff. And California Smiles not only has a fantastic staff but all of these cool features like a Zen room with massage chairs and water fountains. It’s got a theater and arcade. Have started 5 implants. Going to get one finalized in 2 weeks and am really excited. I love the peple who work there as they make a special time for me since I can’t go in the afternoons. Let me start out by saying that the employees here all have great attitudes and personalities. Very helpful and well spoken . My first time deffintly felt welcoming and pleasant. Lesly the front desk girl was awesome and greeted me with a smile . She even checked on me in the room to let me know the status of when the doctor was going to come in and the steps of how everything was going to be done and in order they would do so. She made me feel welcomed and confident that I was making the right decisions in my dentist work that needed to be done . The X-ray technician was very friendly and was very gentle on my sensitive teeth . Both dentists who worked on me were super intelligent and understanding and I think that’s super important. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I will for sure come back to this dentist for all my dental work.

Where do I begin? Everyone is apprehensive when it comes to visiting the dentist. I had not been to the dentist in over two years because I don’t have insurance, and because I work nearly 70 hours per week, so it is difficult for me to find time to go. When I called and spoke to Michael, some of my initial fears were put to rest (i.e., costs). I made an appointment for the next day, which was Saturday, July 25. The initial x-rays don’t take too long, and then afterward you’re released to use any one of this office’s many amenities while you wait for your exam with the doctor. My boyfriend took advantage of the cafe with complimentary coffee and snacks. There is also a children’s room with a daycare attendant, an arcade and game room for teenagers (I think there is actually more than one of these, but I only visited the one), a movie theater room with reclining leather chairs and a television, and a “zen room”, where you can sit and listen to relaxing music in a Brookstone massage chair. We did this for about an hour until I was called in to speak to the doctor. I am always apprehensive about getting work done in my mouth. I am sure I am not the only one who is terrified of the dentist. I needed a few fillings and a cleaning. Some of the fillings were on the left side of my mouth and some were on the right. In the interest of time (and my sanity) I opted to get the cleaning done, as well as the fillings on the left side of my mouth. The dentist was very nice, although he speaks very broken English, if he says anything to you at all. His bedside manner and the skill exhibited during procedures all but negate the fact that you cannot really have a conversation with him. I cried like a big baby, of course, because getting stuck with the needle NEVER feels good, but I am especially sensitive when it comes to my mouth. In fact, two days later and I am still struggling to open my mouth all the way (am wondering if my boyfriend does not find this side-effect particularly useful…). Anyway, I am going back in September for the fillings on the right side of my mouth. I feel lucky to have found such an accommodating place with such caring individuals. Everyone here is super friendly and sympathetic to the fact that I am a gigantic baby and even swatted the dentist away when I thought he was going to give me another shot, when it was actually just medicine. While I wouldn’t say that I am looking forward to coming back here (because that would be a lie), the prospect of coming here is far less scary than previously anticipated. Thanks for everything!

Worked with me on payments and were very affordable to begin with 🙂 got me an appointment the same day and completed everything all in one day (I got 2 fillings and a cleaning). I was very concerned to go to the dentist as I don’t have insurance, but the total only came out to $210! I was very surprised and excited about this. They even have no-interest payment plans. One suggestion I do have is that there could be more communication between doctor/staff and patient. The staff just sort of started going at things without telling me the status of my teeth / the procedures they were going to perform. My old dentist would always have strong communication with me and tell me how my teeth and gums are doing, suggestions for better dental hygiene, and of course ask if I’m flossing lol:) although this dental office is amazing, this is the one suggestion that I have.

I have been to a number of good dentist offices- but California Smiles makes the cross from good to great!! The reason(s): Tchala and the team are an extremely FRIENDLY and personable staff (I.e.- CUSTOMER SERVICE which seems like a foreign concept to some companies but makes a huuuge impression on clients); Zen room (I believe they have stepped into a whole other realm with this idea!! Love it); Movie Room, Teen Room and Tot Land. Free coffee/tea/water and juice boxes/snacks make this place a HAVEN of your having dental work or just a general cleaning done. Office is suuuuper clean and has a beachy/Polynesian//Caribbean vibe. My tween daughter- who hates the dentist- asked how quickly we could come back. I highly recommend!!!! Great for both adults and kids!

I’m the worst when it comes to seeing a dentist, and this is because I had a bad experience with braces as a teenager but thanks to California Smiles, I will be coming back as often as I need to without a fight. The staff makes you feel so welcomed and at ease about your visit. I’ve always been the type to get sweaty palms and the dental assistance always had to drag me into the chair. But not anymore! They made me feel welcomed and comfortable literally as soon as I stepped foot in the door. When you walk in the ambiance of the place is beautiful. Comfortable seats , complimentary drinks and snacks, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! If there’s an art to making someone feel completely comfortable and safe outside their own home, Micheal has mastered that. Relax in the Zen room and get a massage or catch a movie while you wait !
