A very thorough and kind dentist. LOVE his work. He goes above and beyond. I had a very serious accident and he came right to the oral surgeon’s to lend his expertise as my regular dentist. This review has been years in the making since Dr. Cox first opened his practice. This review encompasses two cleanings a year for me and my 2 kids, and braces for my daughter. Our family has been going to Dr.Cox and Canyon Oaks Dentistry since 2012. We have always had the most top notch care and would highly reccomend to any and all of our family and friends. I perssonally was a dental assistant for 7 years and Dr.Cox by far outshines any dentist i have ever been to or worked for. If what you are looking for is Virtually pain free dentistry you will LOVE Dr. Cox. Over the years I have had to have intensive dental work done and my smile is absolutly beautiful. I almost forgot to mention how affordable they are also. I challenge you to call around….their prices are VERY affordable, because Dr.Cox isnt in dentistry to get rich, I feel like he actually cares about our dental health and I cant thank him enough. In case you cant tell I highly reccomend this practice.

My husband and I had not been to a dentist in a few years, and were both suffering dental problems. I found Dr. Cox on Nextdoor, and everyone was saying such nice things, I decided to make our long overdue appointments. The wait time to get an appointment is at least a month, but what does that say? That Dr. Cox is a a great dentist and very busy. At our separate appointments, there was no judgement for missing several years of cleanings, just patience and compassion. What a nice office, what a nice staff! Every single person at Canyon Oaks Dentistry is so warm and friendly. Receptionist, dental hygienist, and especially Dr. Cox are all very inviting and caring. I still don’t enjoy having dental work done, but I no longer dread it. Dr. Cox and staff are all wonderful, and well worth the wait for an appointment.

When all other dentistry closed during the holidays, Canyon Oaks came through for me. My first time there and the staff and dentist were great! My crown came off (less than 2 months after it was done by another dentist), and I needed to get it fix fast! The weekend was approaching and didn’t want it to go on too long for fear of infection. Called numerous dentistry and none was open late on a Friday evening (after Christmas). This place was open and fit me in w/their schedule. Again, the staffs and Dr. were great! The facility is clean, water, coffee, and TV available for the customers. First dentist I went to that doesn’t feel like a dentist office (or a medical facility). 🙂 Super plus – it’s 5 minutes away from my home. Hoping the crown that was fixed stay on and I’ll be a faithful customer for as long as I live in the area. 😉

From the moment I walked into Canyon Oaks Dentistry I experienced a calm feeling. The decor is nicely done and you can help yourself to a Keurig coffee or hot chocolate while you wait. When I sat down in the dental chair, I was allowed to pick whatever YouTube or Netflix show I wanted, as there is a TV mounted on the ceiling. I’ve had a cleaning done as well as fillings and it was a breeze. Finally I found a great dentist.

I FINALLY FOUND MY DENTIST! I visited Dr. Cox’s office on 7/14/15 because I had an old root canal that failed and I couldn’t take the pain any longer. With just my luck I got lost and was running late! I called to inform them and they were completely fine. They even called me back to see if I was ok (lol). When I finally arrived, I was greeted with smiles by the front office staff. All my insurance had been verified prior to my visit. If it wasn’t for me getting lost I would’ve been called back right on time, but even with my lateness they called me back within 5 mins! The office has a relaxing feel to it. Coffee and water are available in the lobby. They took an X-ray of my painful tooth and Dr. Cox came right on in afterwards. He sat and talked to me about my options. He didn’t try to sell me the highest priced procedure, instead he was trying to help me pick the options that made sense to my pockets! In the end, we decided to schedule an extraction!!! My appointment was yesterday and besides my tooth just not wanting to come out, everything went really well! If one method does not work, Dr. Cox finds a way to make it work! He is very gentle, I didn’t even feel the shot given to me! The prices are very fair and reasonable. The office is willing to work with you on higher priced procedures like crowns. Oh and did I mention there are TVs on the ceiling. If I wasn’t getting a tooth pulled I probably would’ve feel asleep in the chair! I already have another appointment scheduled for two cavities. I have never wanted to deal with my teeth issues until now. Thank you Dr. Cox and staff for making me love coming to dentist again!

I have never written a review about anything (and am guilty for reading them) but felt compelled to do so. My family and I have been going to Dr. Cox since he’s opened. I received a flier through the mail and decided to try him since he’s three minutes from my house (my old dentist was about 35 miles away). I am so glad I did. I have never met such a professional, honest and caring doctor. He’s always prompt and the rest of his staff is just as courteous. My three year old had his first appt today and not only was his favorite movie on before he went in, but Dr. Cox made sure to put my son at ease by giving him a glove to hold, explained everything he was doing and joked about the cute “penguin” tool. I had forgotten my cell phone at home, and I told Dr. Cox that I was bummed because I wanted a pic of his first dentist appt. A minute later, Dr. Cox came back with his personal cell phone, handed it to me and said, “Here, take some and I’ll send them to you.” Him being a father himself, knew that it was important to me. I thought this was so extraordinary that I decided to write my first review, ever. I truly cannot say enough great things about all the staff at Canyon Oaks, let alone the Dr. You will not be disappointed if you’re looking for a dentist!!

Dr Cox is a wonderful dentist and his staff is helpful and welcoming. Linda was very nice at the front desk. I went in to have a tooth removed Friday. I was very nervous. Dr. Cox is the most kind and patient dentist I have ever met. I have been to many different dentist and had some bad experiences in the past so I am thankful I found a great dentist who cares about how I feel and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Dr. Cox and his staff are the best! It’s so hard to find a good dentist and even harder to find an exceptional one! I had to get a crown done, he explained the process from the beginning to end thoroughly and is very conservative in his treatment planning. I did not feel a thing when he numbed me and I could be a big baby when it comes to dental work. I work Monday through Friday so it’s hard for me to find a dentist that’s open on a Saturday and he’s open every other Saturday with appointments only which gives me no excuse to make my dental appointments. Dr. Cox is very genuine, caring and nice and so are his staff, thanks Patty and the rest of the team for making my visits pleasant!

Dr. Cox is a great dentist! He is honest regarding payments, dental treatment and care. He always explains the procedures and what he is doing. I like his personality and he is easy to talk to about your dental concerns. Now, I say this because I hate people in my mouth. It is just uncomfortable and rather invasive but I don’t feel so stressed about it now. His staff is very nice and courteous and their hours of service works well for me. Oh, he is also handling my aligners for straightening my teeth which has been going smoothly. So, I will continue to go to his office until one of us moves away. Last thing, I like that his office is small and not a lot of dentists running around. I know that he is the only dentist that will be looking in my mouth every time that I have an appointment. I have nothing bad to say. It took awhile to find a dentist that I truly like and respect. He will have to get a restraining order to get rid of me as a patient…LOL. I highly recommend him. That does not happen to often that I rate a dentists or other medical professionals but he deserves it. Give his office a call if you want a dentist who cares and is knowledgeable about dentistry. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m a big baby about needles. I mean A BIG BABY. When I find a dentist that can 1) understand, sympathize and work with me, 2) make me not feel stupid about it, 3) who is still patient, and 4) make the experience a good one over and over again, then that dentist deserves 5 stars! Dr. Cox is one of the very best dentists I have ever worked with. I went there religiously every 6 months over a period of 3 years for cleanings. He also had to redo a problem filling, fill a cavity and something else more major, and, of course, they all involved needles. Once I also got a shot that didn’t take, and I said it was fine and just took the pain of the drill – it was not fun (but surprisingly not unbearable). The point of all of this misery? He still gets a 5 star review! If I had to go back for work involving a needle, of course I wouldn’t be looking forward to it (OK, maybe a little since he’s a nice guy), and I’d probably be nervous about it, but I’d still not be worrying about it all day or dreading it as I have in the past…..Recommended 100%! Oh, and the staggered hours are a godsend.

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Christopher Cox attended Cal Poly Pomona, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology before going on to graduate from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He met his wife, Lisa, while attending college. After getting married, they decided to settle down and start a family in Rancho Cucamonga. Dr. Cox has been recognized by the Academy of Operative Dentistry for outstanding achievement in operative dentistry. He has also been recognized by Loma Linda University for academic excellence. In addition, Dr. Cox was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. To further his abilities and better serve his patients, Dr. Cox has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, including a 2-year postgraduate course in orthodontics and certification to be a ClearCorrecttm provider. He has also obtained advanced training in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, and he is one of a small group of general dentists who is certified by the State of California to provide oral conscious sedation for both adult and pediatric patients. As a married father of two young children, Dr. Cox understands that most of us are on tight budgets, don't have a lot of spare time, and often do not look forward to seeing the dentist. That is why he has created his dental practice to be comfortable, convenient, and affordable with a high level of professionalism and quality for patients.
