I love this place! I mean no one really likes going to the dentist but Carus Dental made the whole experience exceptional! Dr. Herndon and Anh did exceptional work. I saw another dentist just a month before I made an appointment at Carus who basically just made a list of all the dental work that I “needed”. I didn’t really feel comfortable with the rates (kind of felt like they were ripping me off) and to be honest the dentist was not very personable, so I thought I’d get a second opinion. Boy am I glad I did! Anh gave me the BEST teeth cleaning I’ve ever had and the staff overall was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Herndon is awesome too, super spunky and very honest about what really needs work and what doesn’t. Can’t wait to see them in 6 months!

I had a cavity filled with Dr. Herndon and she and her assistant Jennifer were so helpful, caring and gentle, plus they were so present and ready to fully answer all the questions I asked at the end of the procedure. And they made me laugh. Wow!!!! Then I had the best cleaning of my life with Christina, she spent the perfect amount of time scraping and undoing all the bad I’d done for the last six months. My teeth feel and look great! Keep up all the fabulous work!!!!! I appreciate it!!!! You all make me even want to step up my own oral care. So thank you!!!

Professional dental care! Office is clean and you are made to feel very comfortable. Everyone is on the same page and Dr. Henderson is very straight forward and extremely skilled. I do not like going to dentist but I’m happy for Carus Dental of Salado and the great treatment I receive when necessary. Thank you for seeing me on such short notice and the best treatment possible. The staff here is amazing! They do an excellent job of making the dentist less scary for kids. I especially appreciated the way they showed my daughter their tools and let her feel them so she would know what’s about to happen in her mouth. My daughter gave them a really hard time about taking x-rays. They were very patient with her and persuaded her to do it.

My family and I have been going to Carus dental for years and I have always been pleased with there service. They are professional, friendly, and have a flexible schedule. This location is fairly new and more convenient for me and just as wonderful as the one on University avenue. I highly recommend this place.

Great and friendly atmosphere, I enjoy the quality of service. As well as the attempt to please your schedule when scheduling appointments. Every visit is pleasant and satisfying, I have never experience long wait time and I have been a patient for a year now. I will and would highly recommend Carus Dental for all ages!

I LOVE the staff at this office. They are the nicest, most professional group I’ve ever experienced in a dental office. They really do care about your dental care, they listen to what you say, they remember specifically what you talked about between six month treatments, to the next six month treatment as if the visits were only days apart, rather than months. I just can’t say enough nice things about them

Carus Dental is amazing. Staff is so sweet and personable. Love them. They are super concerned with doing everything right and correct. If not, they will fix it with no charge. They do everything to make sure you’re comfortable. They even go as far as to put a blanket over you when you’re cold. Love them

Dr. Herndon and the hygienist Kurstin made this the best dental experience of my life! Kurstin explained everything as we went through the appointment and gave lots of opportunities for me to ask questions about my dental care. Both she and Dr. Herndon were incredibly sweet, caring, and thoughtful. Hands down the best dentist and hygienist I’ve ever seen, as they were not only extremely kind but also informative. Bonus – I was told beforehand that my appointment could take 2 hours, but we were finished in less than an hour and a half! Everyone I met at the office was great and I hope to continue going to this dentist for years to come. Would absolutely recommend this dentist to both adults and kids – both Dr. Herndon and Kurstin were careful, gentle, and fun! If you have anxiety about going to the dentist or have had bad experiences in the past, this dentist will change your mind!

I am so thankful that I found y’alls office! When I called on a Monday morning about tooth pain you all did not hesitate to get me in ASAP even though I had never been a patient there! Y’all have explained everything so well and have made me feel so comfortable through my dental process. I will be honest that I have been afraid to go into a dentist office for a long time because of bad experiences else where; however, at your office I feel comfortable and feel that my concerns are heard and y’all have taken the extra step to help my fears subside. I can not thank you all enough!

My 4 yr old son has Autism and is non verbal. This was his 1st dental visit. Anxiety was running high for both of us. The entire experience was far and above better than anything I expected. The assistant was kind and sweetly explained every detail of what to expect with the visit. She was aware of his needs and must have prepped the doctor because he was so kind and gentle. It was the perfect first experience and all anxiety or fear was eased. It is difficult to find a good doctor or dentist for a child with special needs. The staff here was excellent and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The ONLY suggestion I have is that the office should have Wi-Fi. My son has special videos and apps he can use on the tablet but we didn’t have access to them without wifi.

I love Meghan and the Doctors there. My husband and son are seen there as well. I have recommended Carus to multiple people and they love the care! They make it so easy to schedule and I love that they have the whole family schedule printed out for us. Everything is upfront so no extra bills. Everyone from the front desk staff to the last person we see is amazing!

This was my first visit and I found Dr Herndon, her hygienist and her technician all to be extremely friendly, attentive listeners, and quite thorough with the initial routine examination of my teeth. The office is sparkling clean and the equipment appears to be new and state-of-the art. An added bonus–the gentleman who works at the front desk and who checked us in was especially warm and welcoming, which both my husband and I really appreciated, because this kind of of welcome does not generally happen in most medical offices. We both commented about how that was a very refreshing and wonderful aspect of our visit

Carus Dental is a great place to go! Everyone is professional, respectful, and helpful. From the start, I felt like a person, not a number. I came in for a consultation so that I could schedule a cleaning at some point, but due to some difficulty finding a good time to schedule a cleaning, they arranged the cleaning to take place right after the consultation (again, very helpful). Everyone who worked with me took time to explain things and answer my questions with consideration. As much as going to the dentist is not my particularly favorite thing, I can honestly say it was a pleasant experience.

Very professional staff that put me at ease. The dentist I saw was very nice and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone currently looking for a dentist. My exam was very through with several different x-rays. The office and waiting room were very clean. The staff cleaned all the machines after they were used. I was told about everything before any procedure started.

Nice attitude for the staff with the people. I got the experience with me and others like an eyewitness when I was waiting for my daughter treatment.. They have advanced tech to diagnose the right treatment to the patient. Safety rules in place to protect staff and visitors, please be sure you wearing mask.

This dental facility was great! It was a little disconnect on how to get in (if we needed to go in through ortho or call), however right now we are still under COVID guidelines so that’s understandable. This was the only hiccup of the entire appointment. They were very understanding about me not having the paperwork (printer issues) and I did not feel like I had to rush to fill it out. Once at the back, they took care of both my kids and they made sure that I was informed the entire time of the process prior to them beginning, the during, and after/follow-up care. The kids were comfortable and reassured as well through the process which made it a very easy appointment. A+ and worth having to drive to the other side of town for.

Dr. Herndon and the staff are top notch. Not only do they exhibit the care and concern about the patient’s health, but they do so in the utmost friendly and professional manner. I am so glad that I found a dental practice that I am happy with – it encourages me to keep up with my 6 month exams which is most important. Highly recommended.
