I’m a 36 yr old male and don’t like going to the dentist or the medical system in general, but this office and the staff are top notch. The hygienist (Megan) was excellent at explaining all the stuff she was doing and how it affected my health in a down to earth approach. The cleaning she gave was also very good – all the coffee stains were removed and my teeth look as good as they possibly could given the lack of effort I’ve put in to them. They also have all the best technology (cleaning tools, etc.) and leverage online tools like forms, communications, account management, etc. I’ve tried a bunch of different dentist over the years and this one was the best so far.

Woke up to a re-occurring toothache and my regular Dentist could not see me as Tuesday was an Office Admin day (??). I called many dental offices and Stephanie answered at Catawba Valley and got me an appt for 12 noon. I gave her my insurance info so she could check if they qualified and they did. This toothache has been coming and going for 4 plus years! The dentist read the x ray and told what he suspected and wrote a script. Will follow up with them. They were courteous, sincere and attentive. Modern faculty minus the hoopla ( fake smiles) of a fancy office

Plus, you can have a paraffin wax for your hands or warm towel for your neck. What???? I kidded that they’d actually have me looking forward to the dentist.

I have BCBS Dental Insurance and Metlife Dental Insurance and was told my out of pocket cost would be $218 which I paid. Later I was sent a bill stating I owed $610 more. This was a billing & insurance error and the $610 is no longer a charge. I thank Catawba Valley Dental Care for fixing this error so promptly. The service and treatment at Catawba Valley is excellent and the staff is always friendly but the billing error upset me so I reacted before checking. I now recommend this Dental Office 5 stars

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR

Dr. Britany Baker has been in dentistry since 2016 and joined the Catawba Valley Dental Care team in 2020. She has dreamed of being a dentist since she was a little girl growing up in the dentist's office where her mother worked as a dental hygienist. Dr. Baker is passionate about forming personal relationships with her patients, and working together to create a treatment plan to meet each patient's unique goals for both an esthetically pleasing and healthy smile. Dr. Baker completed her undergraduate education at Eastern Kentucky University and received her DMD from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Dr. Baker is originally from Hazard, Kentucky located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Coming from an impoverished area has made Dr. Baker passionate about educating people on the importance of establishing healthy oral habits starting from a young age. She has spent time volunteering in low income clinics treating adults and children who would not otherwise be able to afford care. Dr. Baker lives in Charlotte with her beagle, Ryder, and Jazz the cat. In her free time, Dr. Baker enjoys hiking, rock climbing, reading, cooking, and yoga. Dr. Baker is a soccer fan and cheers on Tottenham Hotspurs
