I’m new to the area, came in for my first appointment and had a great experience. Kenny Tran gave me a pain-free cleaning (I couldn’t say the same for my last dentist). He also filled two cavities I had the same day, which is nice for someone who has a busy schedule and it’s hard to carve out extra time to come back in. Rachel at the front desk was super helpful with answering all my questions about billing. Their x ray tech was very good at making sure nothing felt uncomfortable. Their hygienist was also very funny and gave me useful advice. It’s a great place so go if you’re looking for a new dentist.

Short Review: If you are looking for a patient-centered approach to your dental care… this is the place you are looking for. Dr. Tran was very thorough, kind, respectful, clear about his clinical reasoning/thinking, and I felt the most involved I have ever been involved in my dental care. The hygienists, benefits coordinator, and dental assistants were kind, mindful, and thorough. The team at Cedar Hills Modern Dentistry ensured I have the best dental health and smile possible; while being mindful of my needs. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful. I felt apart of a family they were they received me! Long Review: I’ve had a total of 3 dentists prior to Dr. Tran, none of my previous dentists involved me in my plan of care. It can be tough to speak up about my dental care plan and rationale for procedures and interventions were never explained. This was not the case with Dr. Tran. He explained to me his rationale for different options/care plans and what he felt was the best route for my dental care. He then let me navigate my own care after listening to the explanations for each option. Together we created the best ME-tailored/unique dental care plan. I feel like healthcare is forever advancing and they seek and have the latest knowledge and technology. I finally feel at home at Cedar Hills Modern Dentistry! The benefits coordinator greeted me warmly upon arrival and was very patient. Becca ensured that I was getting the most out of my dental insurance; something I honestly am not well-versed in. She explained to me costs, options, procedures, and maximized my insurance capabilities. The hygienists and dental assistants were very thorough in my dental cleaning and imaging; Ellie made sure I had the smile I wanted! Everything was done in a timely manner and I never had to wait while at the office!

This is to anyone nervous or timid about going to the dentist!! I completely understand!! I had the most amazing 4 hour visit. I received two crowns!! I watched t.v. had great laughs with the WONDERFUL staff, I felt like I was V.I.P. I would like to thank the whole team and I am looking forward to my next visit. Jannie Robb

It has been a while since visiting the dentist and was needing to get back into regular dental visits I was told about C.H.M.D. I made my appointment and was very happy with the updated modern look inside. The staff was very friendly and the dentist was friendly and easy going. Who wants to ever hang with their dentist but he was someone you could have a beer with! Had my X-rays and cleaning done and looking forward to getting my crown put on using their state of the art modern technology which allows them to make the crown in office without any further appointments!!! I definitely recommend them as your next new dentist!

My boyfriend Conrad Foord Needed his wisdom teeth pulled and found this dentist Dr. Kenny Tran. I have had may dental issues and needed a new flipper. I made an Appt. here. From the moment I walked in I loved the place! I work for a doctors office and have for 30 years. Customer service is the key to all offices.Every person there had a smile and seamed to love working there! I am happy with the service and the dental work. they are fast! No waiting! For those of you who hate the dentist I recommend this place. They will put you at ease. 🙂

Everyone here is so wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Achatz is amazing at explaining everything that’s going on and really makes sure that you’re comfortable. I’m so excited for this place to be my new, regular dental office and to come back in a few weeks. Thanks again, guys!

Their place is amazing. The staff is punctual and responsible! Their Manager, Rachel is very proactive. She understands how important it is to get the answers we need when it involves a large sum of money. Today I was a new patient with Dr. Tran. He was outstanding, very kind, very thoughtful and caring. I have always been to dentists who just want to get you in and out their chair. Dr. Tran examined my teeth, explained to me what was causing me pain, what could cause me pain in the future, and showed me how we could fix it. He didn’t hide any information from me and was very open with me about what my treatment would look like. The number one thing I loved about coming here today was that I felt cared for by everyone I encountered. Dr. Tran especially shows that he cares for you instead of rushing through your procedure and getting you out the door. I highly recommend making an appointment, you will not be disappointed!

It was my first dental visit in a long while and I couldn’t be happier with the result. They checked everything since it had been awhile and were even able to fill a cavity the same day. All of the staff were incredibly helpful- especially the two girls sitting at the front. I am forgetting their names but they were super helpful with explaining the bill breakdown and setting up my next appointment. Best medical visit I’ve had in AGES

This dental office is the best office in Oregon. I never had a better experience. Jennifer was so nice, friendly, and super helpful. She helped me with the X rays. Usually X ray is unconformable but it was so easy doing it at this office. The manager is also so nice and helpful. I came back for cleaning, the dental hygienist was awesome! She did a great job by making my cleaning painless. Again, this is the best dental office in Oregon period. Thank you guys for the best customer experience.

It had been a while since I had a visit to to l the dentist and I was nervous. From the moment I stepped in, I was treated with respect and kindness. Dr. Tran explained everything and the entire staff was awesome and patient through the entire appointment. I cannot recommend this office enough.

I heartily recommend Cedar Hills Modern Dentistry. During my first visit to the office this afternoon, Dr Tran personally greeted me, listened carefully, answered my questions, and explained what I could expect. Likewise, the entire staff took time to explain each step of the exam and accompanying procedures as they were occurring, and thoroughly reviewed projected costs of work recommended by Dr Tran before proceeding. Dr. Tran and everyone on his staff treated me with kindness and respect throughout my appointment. Having recently returned to Portland after 12 years away, I am grateful to have discovered such a professional, welcoming, thorough, and accommodating dental clinic.

Woohoo is right because they are as Good as it gets! I wish I was a professional writer so I could give you a complete  explanation of my experience! Chad Achatz is the dentist and he was professional, friendly and very good at explaining everything. I had a tooth that cracked in two and was very painful but they took good care of me. In addition to my dental needs I had a medical emergency while I was in the office and everyone was over the top in their care until the fire department and ambulance got there. I felt a genuine caring and kindness from all. The dentist even called me the next day to check on me. If you need a dentist for yourself or family member or friend please go there. Its a new practice and he deserves to have a flourishing business. P.S. Im not a friend or family member that was the first time I had ever met him. If he didn’t have parents I would adopt him 🙂 and a special thanks to Rachel too!
