West, D.D.S. came highly recommended and we are so glad because now, thanks to Dr. West, I I sleep soundly (so does my husband!) during the night and wake up feeling well rested. On top of Dr. West working with me to get the perfect sleep appliance to cure my sleep apnea, he is one of the most professional, kind and friendly doctors I have ever met. The icing on the cake is his office staff ~ I have left doctors before because of their incompetent and/or rude staff…but Dr. West’s staff is exceptionally friendly and professionally competent. My entire experience with the office was excellent and I highly recommend them.

Since I went to Scott West, DDS, My sleep has never been better ! I received a appliance for my sleep apnea, and my world has changed for the better. My only regret is that I didn’t go to see Dr. West years ago! My snoring has been a problem for a long time and I’ve tried everything. I did a somnoplasty about 10 years ago, then pillars, chin straps, etc. A few thousand dollars invested and I was still on the couch because my snoring made it impossible for my wife to sleep. The day I came home with my sleeping appliance from Dr. West, I didn’t snore! It’s been four weeks and my wife hasn’t asked me to sleep on the couch once. Snoring is gone!

After much frustration with a CPAP and no help from Sleep Doctors, I stopped by Dr West’s office for information about a mouthpiece. What a difference, he took the time to see me right away with a great explanation of alternatives to the CPAP.
The decision was easy because of his procedure and the economical option.
The toughest part is the time to have the mouthpiece made. It’s worth it.

Dr. West's practice is dedicated to the purpose of improving your sleep. He is an expert in the field of Oral Appliance Therapy. This is the most accepted treatment for snoring and the number one alternative treatment for those patients suffering from Sleep Apnea who are unable to tolerate the CPAP mask. With his thorough examination and unique testing technique, Dr. West is able to determine which oral device will produce the optimum results for you and give you that deep restorative sleep needed by the body to rebuild and maintain physical and mental health. Scott West graduated from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1970. After dental school, Dr. West served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps and completed advanced training rotations in crown and bridge, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and dentures. In 1972 Dr. West started private practice in the city of Mission Viejo. He became an active member of the Orange County Dental Association, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association. Dr. West is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Over the years, Dr. West's concern for his patients led him to research how dentistry can aid the patient in overall health. One such area of interest was snoring and sleep apnea - he could see the negative health effects, but could not find a consistent pathway to success for treatment.
