I shopped around for an orthodontist and found others much more expensive. Dr. Pliatkis at CPO is an excellent dentist and his staff is patient, professional, and efficient. I’ve been seeing him for my daughter for over a year now. He is always on-time. Courteous. Professional. Explains proposed treatment/procedures patiently. An all-around nice person.

I never smiled on pictures because of my crooked teeth and at 28 I didn’t really want to wear braces. I am really glad I listened to Dr. Pliakas advice and finally got clear braces on. The orthodontic treatment was quick and I am really proud to show my beautiful smile now! Thank you Dr. Pliakas On top of that, Dr. Pliakas practice is really clean, his staff very friendly, it is a great environment. I definitely recommend going there if you want a straight, beautiful smile.

I just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr, Pliakas and I am in love with the results. I can’t stop smiling. My teeth look great and the whole process was so easy. I did a lot of research to find a good orthodontist and I am so happy I found Dr. Pliakas. Every visit was a delight. Helen at the front desk is very nice and helpful and Dr. Pliakas is extremely knowledgeable and professional. My kids might need braces in a few years and I will return to Dr. Pliakas without a doubt

My visits are always pleasant. The front desk is informative and provides you with all the info you need. The orthodontist and his assistant are also great. They usually have pretty good music playing in the background and they tried relentlessly to get all the perfect moldings of my teeth for the Invisalign. They game highly recommended by my dentist and so far they have not disappointedly. I would definitely recommend Central Park Orthodontist

After an extensive search for an orthodontist, I found Dr. Pliakas. I am so glad I did. Dr. Pliakas is very gentle and detail oriented. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. I am so happy with my smile now. Thank you so much Dr. Pliakas!

Dr. Pliakas treated my daughter.  We are very happy with her smile and she has gotten numerous compliments 🙂   He always took his time and answered all of our questions. The fee we paid was very reasonable and the attention to insurance concerns couldn’t have been better. Dr. Pliakas also maintained communication with our general dentist.  This office goes above and beyond the call of duty! High five!

I found Dr. Pliakas who is a board-certified, well experienced orthodontist who studied in the best schools (Havard, Columbia etc…). During the free consultation Dr. Pliakas explained the few options I had (clear braces, invisalign etc…). He was never pushy and took the time to answer all my questions. I am really glad I listened to Dr. Pliakas advice and finally got clear braces on. The orthodontic treatment was quick and I am really proud to show my beautiful smile now! Thank you Dr. Pliakas! I enthusiastically recommend Central Park Orthodontics and Dr. George Pliakas. The staff is so professional and his expertise shines through in the high quality of his work. It is a beautiful state-of-the-art office with all the modern amenities my daughter and I love. I am just so happy I found this office. I researched, asked around, and visited several Manhattan offices trying to find the best place to take my 12 year old daughter to get her braces. There really was no competition when you have a smart Board Certified orthodontist like Dr. George. Dr. George is awesome with teenagers and truly dedicated to giving his patients the best experience. I can attest to that!

Dr.Pliakas is wonderful. I’ve been coming here for one year for my clear braces. The price is competitive. After several consultations among other places, I decided to go with Dr.Pliakas and I haven’t regretted my decision since. The office is clean, modern and most importantly the location is very convenient from both my school and work. Take the B or C line, the office is right next to the 87th street exit. Such a huge relief to go in for visit in NY brutal winter weather. Dr.Pliakas is professional and gentle and never once makes the adjustment painful. All my friends were surprised how invisible my brace looks and I’ve already recommend Dr.Pliakas to two of my friends. If you want great work done by great people with no shady pricing, this is the place to go!

We had a wonderful consultation with Dr.Pliakas for my daughter, Talia. He reviewed the reasons he felt Talia would benefit from treatment and discussed the different options for braces and Invisalign and their pros and cons. We had gone to another office on the Upper West Side for a consultation before a friend recommended Central Park Orthodontics, but Talia felt so comfortable with Dr.Pliakas and is excited to get her braces, so we made an appointment to get started with him next week. The office is beautiful and super clean, and the receptionist, Helen, was very helpful in setting up a payment plan that would maximize our insurance benefits and our FSA account. Since Talia’s appointment, we have discovered that 3 more of her friends see Dr.Pliakas for their braces. They’re all happy and I can understand why!

Best Kept Secret on the Upper West Side Dr. Pliakas is a wonderful orthodontist. His work is phenomenal. After several consultations with strong candidates across the city, I chose to proceed with him and have not regretted it to date. The pricing is competitive. Offices are beautiful and serene, overlooking Central Park. Staff is friendly and efficient, including his wonderful front-office associate, and rarely have we had to wait more than 5 minutes. The results have been fast, efficient and effective, to a point where my dentist remarked on the results. He is aware of all the most recent technologies and developments in the area of orthodontics. Moreover, he is a wonderful person: calm, bright, talented and very funny. He’s modest about his education and training (inc. Harvard). Absent recommendation, I never would have known he existed given his nascent practice. I am very glad I did. Recommend him without caveat to anyone living on the UWS, and beyond.

I highly recommend Central Park Orthodontics if you are looking for an orthodontic treatment for your child or for yourself. Dr. Pliakas is very patient and professional. The treatment coordinator, Helen, is extremely professional, friendly and welcoming. Compared to other dental and orthodontic practices, this office is not overly “commercialized” and is instead genuinely patient-driven. We like the overall calmness of the office and the timeliness of the visits. During my son’s almost two-year-long treatment, we almost never had to wait. Every visit was smooth and non-stressful. Should my younger son need orthodontic treatment in the future, I would bring him to see Dr. Pliakas in a heartbeat.

These guys are awesome.  I chose this office from 5 different orthodontists I met with when I decided to get braces – they were the best then and I feel the same today.  Also, it’s not something people really think about, but their front office person, Helen, is so on top of things. She never drops the ball, is always friendly, follows up on everything she says she will and works well with other offices – I’ve never once had to sit on the phone with insurance to argue about anything. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

When we were looking for our orthodontist we asked anyone who had a smile we really liked and that’s how we found Dr. Pliakas.The office is amazing and Dr. Pliakas treats our children like family. He explains everything and makes the process comfortable,effective and pleasant. We are still in the process and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience .

I cannot recommend Dr. Pliakas and his team (mostly Helen) enough. They provide the best treatment/service you can find in NYC and are very honest and down to earth throughout the entire process. The cost is very reasonable as well considering the qualifications that Dr. Pliakas has. My case is not easy and Dr. Pliakas was able to help me achieve what I want using Invisalign. Our 10-year old son is currently undergoing orthodontic treatment here and so far we’re impressed with the results. Dr. George Pliakas, and entire staff, are always very welcoming and will provide you with all the information about the treatment and ongoing steps. Office is very clean and modern looking and there’s no wait time at all. Their perfect score/reviews are well deserved. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

If you’re looking for a doctor to straighten those pearly whites… Dr. Pliakas is you guy! After a long search, and multiple recommendations, I started treatment with Dr. Pliakas several months ago and am extremely pleased. My first appointment was a complementary consult. I did a little background check and found out that he went to Harvard for college and Columbia for Dentistry and Orthodontics. So that was a bonus. Dr. Pliakas explained what he could do for my issue and gave me multiple options. That was nice because the doctors I saw before didn’t bother. Dr. Pliakas explained the pros and cons to each and gave me his recommendation (which was Not the most expensive option!). I chose clear braces and am super happy with my choice (gonna try to post a pic). My teeth were sore and I noticed their presence the first few days but that was it. I’m generally a huge baby at the dentist but he was super gentle and has a calm, relaxed personality. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with my braces. I highly recommend!!!!

Dr. Pliakas is my son’s orthodontist. He fulfills his profession as orthodontist to the maximum potential, if not even more! His appointments are always well managed and on time, he takes as much time as needed with my son. He taught my son how to manage his braces and keep them in top tier shape. I couldn’t be any happier with the overall result with Dr. Pliakas as our orthodontist and I recommend to anyone who seeks a bright, and perfect smile.

Somebody who has always had a tremendous fear of dentists, I have only ever had a wonderful experience with Dr. Pliakas every single visit. When I came to New York and was looking for an orthodontist for my treatment, I visited atleast more than 10 different orthodontists on the upper west side alone. This office was by far the best, the cleanest, with the most friendly and professional vibe. Dr. George and his team are very professional and accommodating. Most of all, Dr. George himself is very professional in his treatment, he always makes sure to explain what he is doing before he does it and his hand is mild and comforting always.
