Best dentist I’ve ever had. Period. — Subsequent to my posting my little 6 word review, I have read a couple of negative reviews. I wanted to restate my opinion that Dr. Borna is an excellent dentist. His work is great, prices fair and he is very personable who works long hours serving his patients. I’ve had a huge amount of work done by him and it’s all been excellent. My wife and daughter also go to him and are please with his work. We have referred friends and they’ve all been satisfied with his work. All dentists are expensive, but he is no more so than others. I am 70 years old and have been to dozens of dentists over the years. Dr. Borna is the best. And I am not a family member. 🙂

I think everyone must have a good dentist, and Dr. Borna is the one that you can rely on. He is highly educated, up to date with technology and new methods; His office equipment are of high quality. But most important is that he listens to our concerns and explains the situation and the options. The procedures have been as painless as they could despite major work on my wife teeth. Despite being of highest quality, his prices do not make a dent in your pocket. He is the only dentist that I don’t feel afraid of when we sit on his chair. PS. He does come to office every other Saturday and we always make our appointments on Saturdays. That’s also a big plus.

Dr. Borna is very very knowledgable in his scope of practice. He placed three implants for me and I am very happy with his work. I recommended him to my friends and family and they were also very happy with him. He takes his time and explains the procedures and the treatment plan in easy to understand terms. He is also very honest. I had gone to 2 different general denists prior to him, but I am glad I did my work with a specialist. I don’t recommend you give your teeth to just anyone. Especially to doctors who have taken 2 months course in implants. Do your homework! I loved the staff and the office atmosphere. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Dr. Borna and his kind staff.

I had been searching for a dentist for three years to do my implant (number 19) and during this time I learned a lot about the process. There are many general dentists who claim they can do this. My choice of a specialist who does implants (all day long) was the right one. When you first enter the office, within five minutes he has a CT scan of your mouth up on the screen and he is discussing your options. He made me feel at ease. I trusted him right away. I have had the implant installed (2 weeks ago) and I have had minimal pain. I will keep you posted regarding the rest of my procedure. I’m not writing this review for Dr. Borna – I’m writing it for all you people out there trying to find a good IMPLANT specialist. I took three years and I am confident I made the right choice.

Dr. Borna is the best dentist ever! I have nothing but good things to say. He has a lot of patience and he takes his time with you. You never feel rushed. The office is by appointments only, so you really don’t spend your time seating in the waiting area (which is gorgeous). I had 3 implants with him with barely any swelling. I went right back to work . I love this doctor. I will not do implants with anyone else but him. He is a surgeon and not just a general dentist who does implants. I highly recommend him.

BEST Dentist and Periodontist I have ever visited. My son, age 7, had 2 cavities which required fillings. Dr. Borna and his ENTIRE staff made him so comfortable and patiently explained every process so that he was at ease. I had 2 crowns as well and I have to say it was, hands down, the most pleasant encounter I have ever had at a dental office. From the novocaine injection to the final rinse…very light touch, extremely thorough and informative. Dr. Borna is truly a professional and quite conservative when it comes to necessary procedures (you are not treated as a customer, ever). Only that which was necessary was performed and all the preventative measures were taken to preserve the health of our teeth. His Dental Hygienist also has a light touch and is wonderful with children! Mahnaz, the Office Manager, is the most informative and friendly front office staff I have ever encountered. She remembers my entire family, every time, explains complex insurance practices with ease, and relays information to the doctor in the most efficient and timely manner possible. Both my parents have had extensive dental work done with Dr. Borna as well, and it is a definitely a consensus, he is great! Thank you so very much!

I LOVE Dr. Borna. I’ve been cringing with fear at the prospect of getting a dental implant for 3 years. Meanwhile, I was walking around town looking like a Korean hillbilly when I smiled. I finally took the plunge after realizing that hosting Korean Hee Haw was not my life goal. My first experience at this dental office was defiantly my best dental experience. From the answering the phone in an efficient friendly way till the end of my visit, they made me feel they are treating one of their own family member. Even though I was 15 min late, but I was immediately put in touch with the dentist. Two major gum surgeries turned out to be an unexpected, excellent experience. He is kind, consideret, gentle and extremely competent at what he does. I have been his patient for about a year, two major gum surgeries and I only took, two of my 30 pain killers (had no need for them). These were major surgeries and I went through both, like a breeze. Everyone I khnow who has done the exact surgeries, had suffered beyond words and they were surprise how well I was doing, even few hours afer the surgery. He is, by no means “cheap”, but worth every penny (nothing good is cheap). They put me on a payment plan and I paid it monthly. His work is guraranteed, his staff is kind and professional. If you need Periodontic work, he is your man. Highly recommend him. Dont let cheap doctors touch your mouth especially your gums, pay a bit more but get the best. Thanks Dr. Borna, you and your staff are fantastic.

I live in the Bay Area and I have severe bone loss. My periodontist told me that teeth implants would most likely not be possible for me. He asked me to find an oral surgeon for a bone graft. I visited every single oral surgeon in my area. I only found one oral surgeon who said he would be able to do a bone graft. However, his price was too high. My friends in Los angles introduced me to Dr. Borna, whose price was 1/3 that of the other oral surgeon. I sent my teeth X-rays to him and he told me he can do a bone graft as well as dental implants for me. I made an appointment with him and I cannot believe how comfortable I was at his office. I’m always scared to go to the dentist. However, Dr. Borna was very kind and played music in his office. He was singing along with the music which made me feel at ease. Not only did I not feel any pain during the procedure, I also didn’t have any swelling or bruising afterwards. He is great at what he does and I definitely recommend him to anyone who is in need of a bone graft or dental implants. The staff was also very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Today I underwent my second gum grafting surgery with Dr. Borna. He’s also done other work including bone grafting (I’ve been a patient of his partner, Harvey Freed for over a decade). I give him the highest rating because he is a skilled surgeon with excellent results in my mouth so far, his hands are gentle as well as strong, he has a calming and supportive chairside manner and he is a good communicator who leaves no question unanswered. Although I don’t know him outside of our dentist/patient relationship I suspect he’s also a wonderful human being beyond his practice.

Dr. Borna is a great doctor. I travel over 4 hours to see him. His office is very nice outfitted with modern technology (some dentist use old equipment, he does not), his staff is extremely courteous. Easy parking, and in a nice area. What make Dr. Borna stand out from others is he cares. He (and his staff) is constantly concerned about your comfort, pain level, and expectations of work to be performed on you, and always accommodating. He never rushes or makes you feel like you are just a patient in a chair, and always has good spirits. I had an issue with a root canal, and instead of making me come back the next day, he insisted I stay (with my blessing), and worked until 7:30 pm on me making sure I was taken care of. Most dentist show up at 9 and leave at 4, he never does. His love of work apparent by his commitment to his patients. I would gladly recommend him to anyone as he is a perfectionist, does not settle with second best work, and treats you like you are his only patient. He has been dealing with many issues for me, replacing veneers, installing a bridge, cavities and root canals, and he will continue to do all future work as well.

I started coming to CCD & Dr. Borna over a year ago. A tooth had broken off at the gum line and I would need an implant. I would also require an additional procedure to build up the bone to a necessary depth, in order for the implant to be anchored correctly (lucky me). I can’t say I’d wish a broken tooth on anyone, but if it happens, Dr. Borna and his staff are the people to see. He is a first rate professional, with a great chair side manner, extraordinarily thorough and works hard to keep the patient comfortable and relaxed. He personally called me the day after procedures were performed (3 of them) to check on my progress, comfort, and to see if I had any questions. As I told him after I had my new tooth finally in place “I like you so much it’s almost worth breaking another one just to come back – almost”. I have lived all over the country and moved about 15 times in the last 20 years. I’ve seen some fine dental professionals over the years but Dr. Borna is the best of the best.

Dr. Borna and his staff are great – very professional, fairly priced, and knowledgeable. I broke my front two tooth in a basketball incident and I went through a long search for finding the right Dentist to take care my dental implants. He will give you the details, his staff will give you the price, you get everything on paper – all you gotta do is set up the time and you’re good to go. I found Dr. Borna through a referral from a colleague, when I needed to get an extraction and implant. He consulted me for free, let me know the procedure and costs (relatively inexpensive), and then scheduled me to come in that evening (on a Friday), to have the tooth removed because I was in so much pain. The extraction took less than an hour, and although there was pain afterwards and swelling, the healing process so far has been a breeze. Going to a previous dentist, I knew I also needed a root canal (never go 5 years without seeing a dentist!), and upon letting him know about that situation, he x-rayed me on the spot at no cost, and again explained options, and submitted to my insurance right away for pre-approval (end of the year). He’s been very straight forward, positive, and helpful throughout this dental work, and I feel very comfortable in his hands — I highly recommend him. I write this because I always read reviews to aid in my choices, and was so happy to find him.

A few months ago I was searching on Yelp for a dentist who does transplants and found Dr. Borna. I was cautious, but found no reason for caution at all because Dr. Borna was every bit of a professionally skilled dentist who takes great pride and shows the excellence in his work! Yesterday was the final when he finished by placing in the crown after he placed an implant a few months ago. I am so very thankful for Dr. Borna and I me Thankful. He truly is a dentist with care and concern and obviously loves perfect dentistry. Every time he worked on me, he made sure to continue asking “are you OK?” He was making sure I had no discomfort whatsoever. I’m very lucky to be what I consider an easy patient since I can tolerate dental work fairly easily and have only had a bad experience with other dentists a couple of times.
