I was seeking out orthodontic treatment last July and was referred by my dentist to Dr. Lowe. I made an appointment for the free consultation and was very happy with the friendliness of the staff and how thorough they were in explaining the treatment process and what would need to be done specifically for me. The consultation was absolutely free and as for the former review’s misinformation, you pay the $350 for the x-rays, analysis and the mold of your mouth. Admittedly, it is a little pricey but feeling confident and secure about my smile is something that is completely worth it. I’m not about to cheap out on something as important as my face. I’ll get my sales at Ross or TJ Maxx, but not on my orthodontics. I’m currently nearing the eighth month of an anticipated 16 month treatment and I have been nothing but pleased with the resulting changes. I had an overbite, and seemingly large two front teeth due to some displaced teeth. My teeth are moving nicely and I am especially happy to see my smile getting better 🙂   Overall, I highly reccomend Dr. Low and his very friendly staff. They are very good about scheduling appointments especially considering I work during the day. I also never wait to be seen and am always greeted by smiling faces. Most importantly, they’re really effective in giving me the best version of my smile. 😀

Dr. Low serviced my teeth over the years as I had braces. I recently got them off and my teeth look incomparable to before. I used to have overlapping teeth as well as many other problems. He was very supportive of the process and made sure I got through the treatment fully satisfied.

I can not say enough about my experience with Dr. Low. I have had orthodontia for nearly 7 years and when I had my braces finally removed in high school I thought I was done for good. Unfortunately, my teeth moved and I had no retainers to keep them in place. I went to Dr. Low seeking help and praying that I didn’t need to have braces put back on at 22 years old. Thankfully, he came up with a great solution! Invisalign! Now, just a year later, my teeth are perfect and are staying that way for the rest of my life! My experience with Dr. Low and his staff was absolutely amazing! Dr. Low is very kind and detail oriented, always explaining to me exactly what my next step was and how he planned for my teeth to move. I am so grateful to Dr. Low and his team for giving me my smile back!

My two kids have been going to Dr. Low for their orthodontic needs. We started with jaw expanders (which worked wonders) and then moved onto braces and retainers. Besides being personable,  I feel that he is extremely well-trained and a great communicator.  I like the fact that his appointments always run on time. We’ve never had to wait for a scheduled appointment more than 5 minutes, which is impressive. We have recommended many friends to Dr. Low and will continue to do so.

Dr. Low and his team provided excellent service – both customer, and orthodontic. Dr. Low worked with me on a treatment plan that allowed me to receive complete and lasting orthodontic care that did not interfere with my professional life – and in the long run – enhanced it. Additionally, Dr. Low coordinated my treatment with my primary dentist to ensure that my dental health was being addressed seamlessly. It is important to note than in nearly 10 visits over the course of a year – I never waited more than a few minutes for my appointment which speaks volumes about the doctor’s respect for his patient’s time and for the quality of his office staff. Dr. Low is a very highly trained Dr. who helped reshape our daughter jaw,and with braces straightened her teeth. Office staff very nice. Extremely clean office,and I mean clean. We never had to wait for our appointment. Once my daughter signed in she was always called back within 1 minute,and this is no joke. A couple of time we had to call Dr. Low on a weekend and he called back right away and was very professional. We would highly recommend this Dr.

I had orthodontics as a teenager but was referred to Dr. Low by my dentist to correct some shifting. I had several friends that had been treated in his office and they all spoke very highly of him. During the consultation I found him to be very professional, personable and knowledgable. I was very happy with the course of the treatment and outcome and didn’t hesitate to take my son to Dr. Low when he required orthodontics. My son’s treatment was much more complicated and we felt very reassured by Dr. Low’s level of expertise. He recently finished his phase one treatment and the before and after pictures are astonishing.  Dr. Low and his staff have always been friendly and professional and the practice is run very efficiently. I was so impressed with Dr. Low and his amazing office – everything is state-of-the-art! His dual training in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics makes him perfectly fitted to treat kids from a young age. And his office manager is so kind and welcoming!! I strongly recommend Dr. Low for all of your personal and family orthodontic needs. He was spectacular in managing my daughter’s orthodontic needs over the past 2 years. His office is modern and comfortable and his staff was always welcoming. I truly appreciated his dedication to detail when explaining his procedural decisions regarding my daughter. He takes an individual approach toward creating a course of action for each case. I always felt that there was a specific purpose and strategy for each level of his prescribed orthodontic care. I was in need of braces for a very long time and was referred to Dr. Low by my dentist. We set up a consultation and he outlined what the entire process would be like and through the course of around a 30 month experience I got the perfect smile that I wanted. At the time no one wants to experience the first weeks pain or the little irritation that comes with braces but that goes for all people with braces. Dr. Low quickly outlined every month what I was doing right and what needed to be done for the next time I saw him and by the time I got my braces off I was so excited and the staff there was just as enthusiastic as I was. Overall I would recommend this orthodontist for anyone seeking a 5 star smile.

Dr. Low was very thorough in all his explanations for every stage of treatment. His office staff is very friendly and professional. We were always treated as a valued patient. Dr. Low is very punctual and there is very little wait time for your appointments, if any wait time. The follow up care after the braces are removed is very thorough too!

I am shocked by the poor reviews of Dr. Low and his office staff.  Prior to a 4 year return to the office for a retainer repair, I happened to see these negative comments.  I was somewhat frighten to return, but because none of the comments were a reflection of my 2 years of treatment visits, I made an appointment.  Upon my return visit I found the same friendly helpful front office staff.  I found Dr. Low to be just a knowledgeable, kind, and personable.  After 4 years he still remembered facts about my career as a teacher and the vacations I took every year.  Don’t take the negative reviews to heart, make an appointment for yourself.

Dr. Low and staff have been wonderful since my daughter  has been going to them since she was 5, now she is 18 and my other daughter who is 16 started with Dr. Low when she was 9. If not for Dr. Low they would not have the perfect teeth and smile they have today! He is a very detailed about  his work and procedures that needed to be done for both my daughters and has always been very pleasant and professional and continues to be to this day. We just had a appointment yesterday.My oldest is on summer break from college and needed to have some adjustments to her retainer. I called office and they fit us right in for a appointment. Dr. Low was very accomodating and professional and pleasant as always. The staff was very friendly and happy to see us.  New office is beautiful..What I love about Dr. Low is that he is so knowledgeable on the latest technology as a orthodontist! I have had a few friends that I have reccommended to Dr. Low and they all have been very happy with his work….Yes, it can get expensive to have orthodontist work done but Dr. Low I felt was the best choice for my girls. He is very comparable to others in the area…I priced shopped before I made decision to use Dr. Low.  If I had to choose all over again, it would be Dr. Low hands down 🙂 I can say that with confidence because looking at my two daughters are the results of his work!!!!

Dr. Low is an outstanding orthodontist committed as much to excellence as he is his patients. When I first mentioned braces to my dentist, he referred me to a different guy, who glanced at my xrays and quickly suggested invisalign. My teeth were really messed up, so wanting a second opinion, I went down the street a little ways to Dr. Low’s office. He sat me down in a chair and looked at my teeth very carefully. I was immediately impressed by how thorough and meticulous he was about my treatment, and explained to me that I needed metal brackets, not invisalign.  That was about two and a half years ago. I just got my braces off and my teeth look great, and my wife especially loves my new smile. I strongly recommend Dr. Low; for something as serious as orthodontic treatment, you do not want to compromise.   He and his staff are very friendly and professional, and you will definitely get what you pay for: the best.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. LOW!!! Insuring that I was a thorough as possible, I have done all of the leg work for anyone in the market for braces for their children in the La Canada/La Crescenta/Glendale area. To help make this very important decision, I sought recommendations from many friends/family with children that had braces. I truly believe that recommendations from first hand referrals is always the best way to make important decisions like this one. I proceeded to interview several orthodontists in the area over a few month period, based on recommendations I received. I conducted in depth research and did all the work to ensure we went with the absolute BEST Orthodontist and staff that would be treating my 2 girls over the course of a few years. This was a very important decision for us. After all, my daughters would essentially need to continue treatment with this Dr./office staff over a few year’s time, so I wanted to be absolutely sure that we did our homework. Basically, I’ve already done all of the work for anyone interested in working with the best Dr. in the area. After weeding through all of the Dr.’s that did not meet our standards, we decided to choose Dr. Low. Dr. Low was honest, and up front about everything from timeline to cost as well as everything in between. We knew exactly what to expect. Dr. Low treated both of my daughters (14/16 now) and we are very pleased with the results from beginning to end! From the time we walked through the door approximately 5 years ago (2 years of treatment for one child then 3 years for the other), we were very pleased. We highly recommend Dr. Low and his awesome staff. The entire office is very friendly, professional, courteous and always extremely helpful (especially with appointment accommodations and insurance/payment questions). Dr. Low explains his procedures and treatment in detail and he always encourages questions and input from my children if they have any questions/concerns as well. I was a patient of Dr. Low for over a year and enjoyed the entire experience. I’m in my mid 20s and wanted to straighten my teeth that had shifted to the point of discomfort. I had a great consultation and Dr. Low was extremely knowledgeable about the latest orthodontia tools and confident about how to fix my bite. He did not try to sell me on anything that I didn’t want and allowed me to choose from different options that varied in price and duration. The entire staff is incredible, and made the monthly visits fun and enjoyable. I was impressed by the office’s use of technology. For example, they allow you sign up for e-mail and/or text messages that are sent out to remind you of upcoming appointments. They also have a computer by the door as you walk in that allows you to check-in electronically, confirming your appointment and allowing the receptionist to see when each patient arrived. The system works and there is rarely much of a wait. I couldn’t be happier with the final results. My braces were removed 6 months ago and my teeth still look perfect. I would recommend Dr. Low to anyone considering having orthodontia work done.

Dr. Low and his office staff are amazing! All 4 of our children have incredible smiles thanks to Dr. Low! He takes the time to put together an effective plan that yield great results. Dr. Low is also incredibly knowledgeable and helps to explain the whole process and does great panoramic x-rays to explain what will happen over the course of treatment. He also uses incredible computer technology to show the amount of overbite and angles that different teeth may be exhibiting. This is a worthwhile investment that will help your child’s self esteem as well.

We are very satisfied with the orthodontic treatments for our kids!  Both daughters had braces and are now smiling pretty!  Dr. Low has proven his expertise and has always given us clear explanations for any plans of action in getting those teeth straight. Dr. Low and his staff are a pleasure to work with and all have demonstrated courtesy with the professionalism and skills necessary for a successful practice. I don’t write Yelp reviews very often but in the case of Dr. Low and his staff I felt compelled to do so. My son has just had his braces removed after a very complex case which not only included moving teeth but also in making space for a tooth which never formed but also one which was not adequately naturally size. Dr. Low was very thorough and explained the entire process in simple terms so everything was well understood in advance including coordination with his referrals to create the new teeth. The staff is unbelievably efficient, courteous and professional in all aspects from scheduling to billing. Prior to braces he was very self conscience and rarely smiled in photos, now he is front and center smiling broadly in every photo, and has become more confident and outgoing. I highly recommend Dr. Low to anyone. Thank you again Dr. Low for all that you have done.

I considered myself fortunate not to have needed braces when I was a student.  At age 61, however, my regular dentist strongly recommended that I see an orthodontist because my lower front teeth were kind of sliding around toward the middle and piling up on one another, which was in turn causing my upper front teeth to be pushed out.  My dentist cautioned that I could look forward to gum disease and other problems if the condition was left untreated. Accordingly, he referred me to Dr. Low.  I went in knowing nothing about orthodontics.  Dr. Low explained everything in detail.  After taking a series of photographs, x-rays, and bite impressions, Dr. Low decided that I should have one of the crowded-together teeth surgically removed, after which he would use orthodontic techniques to align the remaining teeth in a neat semicircle that would close the gap where the tooth was removed.   In the fall of 2013 Dr. Low attached the brackets to my teeth — except the one that was to be pulled — and sent me to an oral surgeon for the tooth removal.  The removal went smoothly and painlessly.  Several weeks later I returned to Dr. Low’s office, where the first set of arch wires was attached to the upper and lower brackets.  This began what was predicted to be an 18-month process of repositioning the teeth. All went smoothly throughout the next two years.  Dr. Low assures me that he has other adult patients, although I never saw any.  I remarked to him once that he and I were the only guys in the place whose voices had changed!  I went in for visits at one-month intervals, where the doo-dads that hold the arch wire in place were replaced, stronger arch wires were periodically installed, and other tensioning devices were added.  Occasionally my teeth would be a little sore after a visit where more tension was added, but the soreness was brief and easily remedied with ibuprofen.  I also found it useful to make use of the little sticks of pliable wax that his office supplied to cover over the brackets and wires on the infrequent occasions when they decided to dig into the inside of my mouth. In mid-2015 the braces were removed.  I now have a bonded retainer on the lower teeth (a permanently installed wire glued to the back of these teeth, where it is not visible) and a removable retainer for the upper teeth.  I have been told that I will wear the upper retainer at all times for a year initially, and then move to night-time only wear.  It hasn’t been too bad, although I now know why the kids with retainers sounded like they did when I was in junior high school! Dr. Low’s office is very well-organized and he is very prompt about taking patients back right on schedule.  You can tell that considerable thought has been devoted to refining every aspect of how the practice is run.  I particularly appreciated the options for electronic reminders of appointments, which can be delivered by text messages (SMS) or e-mails.  The front desk personnel are friendly and knowledgeable, and the technicians in back are the same.  And Dr. Low is fastidious about making sure everything in the mouth is positioned just right and moving in the right direction.   The result of his work was excellent.  My wife remarked that this is the first time she has ever known me to have straight teeth.  I guess I didn’t realize how weird my teeth looked before.  The change is very obvious in the “before and after” photos that Dr. Low provided to me. All in all I would say I had a very satisfactory experience with good results, and would certainly recommend Dr. Low to others.

I felt very comfortable under doctor Low’s guidance. The entire process ran smoothly, had my monthly appointments and follow ups. The staff were kind with a smile on their face, always welcoming. I’m very happy with my smile, the best I’ve gotten post my gun shot injury. I would recommend doctor Low to anyone who is looking to get a great smile and feel happy and confident with oneself.

My son just finished with Dr. Low and overall, I cannot tell you what a transformation it has been!!! Charles Low is truly exceptional in his clinical expertise and produces the most awesome result. The orthodontic work on my son was superb. Trust me, it changed my son’s entire facial profile. Dr. Low is not only smart and conscientious but he is always super professional. He communicates well and the treatment plan was always consistently and clearly explained to me. His office is meticulously run and his entire office staff is an absolute pleasure to work with. I seriously cannot recommend him enough and wish there was an option to give him more stars.

I would highly recommend Dr Low as an orthodontist.  I have three boys, and all hv braces at the same time.  His office is clean, modern and his staff is very professional. My father was an Ortho and I worked for him for many years.  Dr Low treats my children with respect and care.  The outcome with my youngest who just got his braces off for phase one is phenomenal.  We widened his pallet so he wouldn’t hv any teeth pulled.  My son’s big smile with all those straight teeth is beautiful!  I can’t wait to see my other two when they are done.

Dr. Low has been an absolute blessing to our family.  His skill and expertise are unsurpassed, and you simply will not find a more qualified pediatric orthodontist in the La Canada / La Crescenta / Glendale area.   He is incredibly professional, and yet we never feel like he is rushing us (the parents) out the door, or just trying to hurry to the next patient, like so many doctors do.  If you have questions, he takes the time to answer them.  He doesn’t try to overwhelm or impress you with esoteric terminology, but neither does he ‘talk down’ to you.  He’s just very honest and direct.  His staff is very professional, friendly and efficient.   Most important of all, he achieved phenomenal results for our older daughter.  In just 16 months, he turned a very challenging situation into a flawless smile.  Our daughter was apprehensive about braces, but Dr. Low and his caring staff just made it so easy for her and for our family.  Next week our younger daughter will be having a consultation, and at some point, she will have braces as well — and we’re just so thankful that it will be under the care of Dr. Low.  Five stars are not enough.   At the risk of casting a negative shadow over a positive review, I have to comment on the (few) negative reviews you may have seen on this site.  You should take the time to read them.  One person was not even a patient.  Another was just horribly shocked that their young child found braces to be painful (wow, what a surprise!).  Dr. Low is not to blame.  Another simple minded reviewer complained about the office’s use of computers (yes, very scary things).  Those reviewers are just clueless.   Take a look at the 2-star review that concludes “Aside from all of the above. The end result is that her teeth are beautiful.”  Unbelievable.  If you ‘think’ like these people, then don’t go to Dr. Low.  But if you are an intelligent human being who would like to see great results from a world-class orthodontist, Dr. Low is your guy.

My lower teeth had been getting worse and I asked my dentist to provide a recommendation. While I live on the Westside of LA, my dentist had a very strong recommendation for Dr. Charles Low. As a busy financial professional, I was looking for someone who was fast, efficient, thorough as well as knowledgeable. That is what you get. A total true professional who does his job and a staff that knows their areas very well. If you are busy, looking for someone who respects your time, gives you results that will exceed your expectations, then this is where you want to go. The staff is always cordial, the offices extraordinary clean, and before you know it you will have a million dollar smile. Thanks Dr. Low for being one of the true professionals still around today!

My daughter just finished her orthodontic treatment with Dr Low, and we had a fabulous experience, Her teeth are beautiful and she loves her new smile. i find Dr Low to be very good at what he does, and his staff has always been very kind and courteous to us when we are there. They are always on time for your appointments, you never have to wait. I have had orthodontic treatment myself, and I would have to wait up to an hour sometimes. In addition, they were very good at fitting us in when there was a broken bracket or anything of that nature. I would definitely recommend Dr Low to anyone in need of orthodontic treatment! 🙂

Dr Low is a brilliant orthodontist who is meticulous and skilled at making sure your child’s teeth are beautiful when their orthodontia is complete . He doesn’t settle for 90% success. He’s thorough, explains everything before treatment starts and you get what you pay for. I am so hopeful he will make sure my other child’s teeth are as perfect after a failure by another orthodontist in Glendale that didn’t care enough and settled for less than 100%. DONT go elsewhere, just go see him. Have a consult- you will understand what I’m taking about afterwards. Office is very accommodating and friendly !

About 1 1/2 years ago I had to consult an orthodontist to straighten out my teeth. One of the two recommended by my dentist was Dr. Low. Parking is ideal, right in front of his office. I experienced a friendly staff on my first visit and enjoyed my initial consultuation with Dr. Low, which provided me with the needed information and options as to the possible treatments in my case. The check-in computer I only started using on my subsequent visits and doing so makes sense. It is also very straightforward to use, any child can do it. Consequent visits to get x-rays taken, etc., were performed by a friendly and experienced staff. I enjoyed — and still enjoy, I have one more year to go — the pleasant atmosphere in Dr. Low’s office. Compared to another orthodontist that was recommended to me, his prices are quite reasonable. Naturally, it is a substantial expense, but it is also a treatment that – in my case – takes over two years and will last a lifetime. From what I read, Dr. Low is a very experienced orthodontist: He has been in the business for 15 years and teaches at USC. I continue to enjoy his friendly and professional service.

The negative reviews here are terrible! Completely inaccurate and untrue. I can tell you from first hand experience that Dr. Low has made my time here a great one! From the moment I walked through the door to my last day of having braces, the staff was very friendly and helpful and made sure I was completely satisfied and comfortable every step of the way. I truly felt the sincerity of the staff and Dr. Low. What also really impressed me is how timely they were with appointments. When I make my appointment at 10:30AM they have me at 10:30 on the dot, NOT ONCE did they take me in late. Its impressive, as most places will still make you wait 15 to even 30 minutes before they take you in. Also, the price was affordable! Considering how high end the office was, the quality of the service, and its location, you would expect to pay for a lot more than what they charge. They even have a discount deal if you agree to set up appointments in the morning. I can honestly go on and on of my experience with Dr. Low and his staff but the only way you can understand is by going to his office and speaking with him. The negative reviews here are completely false and misinformed. Do not pass up on this amazing place because of a few false reviews. I assure you will not be disappointed. I got my braces done here and I’m so happy that I did. It was worth every penny and all the staff were EXTREMELY friendly. I even learned more about a possible career path due to one of the staff. I was very blessed to have Dr. Low as my orthodontist: he’s extremely knowledgable and wants the best for all of his patients. I would recommend this place 1000%, especially if you want your teeth to be straight for life. When my kid has crooked teeth or a bite issue, I’m definitely bringing him/her here (as well as any other friend who might have issues with their teeth).

We live in La Canada & my now 10 year old son, Scott recently finished Phase I orthodontics with Dr. Low & his wonderful staff.  It was an 18 month process beginning in the Fall of 2017 & we finished just this Spring of 2019.
