He is absolutely great with children and managed to fill a cavity for my son without him realizing exactly what was being done (while also keeping me fully informed as to what was being done). I highly recommend Dr. Charvet for both adults and children. His staff is professional, and I have never had much wait time when going to appointments.

Dr. Charvet is a regular at the restaurant I am employed at and he was recommended to me by some of the people at said restaurant. I had an old filling with a giant cavity underneath, necessitating a root canal. Dr. Charvet did great work on my tooth and Mrs. Nancy at the front desk is super helpful and friendly. All the staff is polite, courteous, and always willing to help. Overall, this was a great experience. The quality of the dental work is top notch and the staff is excellent. I’d recommend Charvet Dental to anyone and everyone!

Over a 7 year period, Dr. Hunter Jr., has performed major, complicated work on my teeth due to an auto accident years ago. Besides being a kind and caring person and excellent dentist, Dr. Hunter Jr. is a master at administering pain free injections, of which I have had many over the 7 years I have been receiving treatment. Along with using only state of the art dental technology, Dr. Hunter Jr. has always displayed a high level of confidence and pride in his ability to perform excellent dental procedures, both common and complicated in nature. Dr. Charvet has done several restorations, two crowns, and a bridge on my upper incisors. I’m 68 years old and have never been more pleased with my dental work. His dental work has always exceeded my expectations. He is also the most pain free dentist I have ever experienced. Another plus is you seldom have to wait past your appointment time. Dr. Charvet is a very special dentist and has a professional staff that compliments the office environment. We brought our 2 year old son for his first dental visit and we just loved everyone here. From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted warmly, we didn’t have to wait very long to be seen, and once we were in the room the dental hygienist was so amazing with him, walking him through the process and everything she was using, she was patient and caring and it made the world of a difference with our son. He even got to pick out a little gift at the end on our way out, the downside is that he had a meltdown because he couldn’t take ALL of the toys, even when he turned in to a gremlin they were still trying to comfort him. Overall just a great customer experience, we look forward to our little ones future dental appointments. 5 stars

I have been a patient at Charvet Dental for 30yrs! It feels like family when I’m there. My hygienist Shelley keeps my teeth in tip top shape and always looking their best. My children now see Dr. Charvet Jr. My daughter had to have some extensive dental work and he was so gentle and patient with her she was always excited to go to her appointments. I even had to call him in the middle of the night when he was on vacation out of the country and he called me back right away to handle my situation. Charvet dental always provides the highest level of care to all of its patients. Most people have a fear of the dentist and I’ve never had that feeling. I think that comes from my experience since childhood with this practice. I’m not exactly sure how long I’ve been a patient here but it seems like it’s been at least 10 years so far. Dr. Charvet, Jr. has been an amazing dentist. I’ve had dental work and also a couple crazy emergencies arise over the years and he’s definitely gone above and beyond with ease and great professionalism. Also, the entire staff treats their patients like family and I’ve received wonderful assistance from Dr. Charvet, Sr., Ivy, Nancy and a number of other great staff members there. I highly recommend Dr. Charvet. I had two teeth need to do root canals and crown. The whole process was very smooth. Absolutely LOVE Dr Charvet and his staff! Dr Charvet (Jr), Alexis and Shelly are like our family now. My daughter would go there everyday and have her teeth cleaned or pulled. When my daughter was about 8 years old, we started going to his office for regular cleanings (yes, it took me that long to find the perfect dentist for my daughter and I). My daughter used to never like going to the dentist. Here we are, 4 1/2 years later and she loves going. Walks into the office like she owns the place and feels special because they call her by her name as soon as she walks in the door. We have never had a problem and would highly recommend this office for kids and adults! We travel over an hour just to go to the dentist.

I will never go anywhere else now! I had a cavity filled between my front two teeth (I was nervous because if he messed up, It would be very obvious) and Dr. Charvet Sr executed it flawlessly. His dental assistant Alyssa helped me feel comfortable and reassured me the whole time. At Other places, the assistants don’t talk to you and stare off while the procedure happens but Alyssa was on Point. She never let drool over flow, she made sure I felt comfortable, and made sure I liked how everything came out. She put my needs and wants first which I appreciated because the dentist office was busy that day. She didn’t rush me out or try to speed up my procedure to get done for the day. Needless to say, I’m never going anywhere else and I highly suggest Charvet Dental Center!! PS: I drive all the way from Hammond to go here, it’s worth it. Ask for Dr. Charvet Sr!!
