Not much I can’t say about Dr Dow — I’ve had some serious teeth trauma in my day, and he worked with me (as he said in good humor and I greatly appreciated, “almost obsessively”) on making sure I had the right solution. I wound up needing crowns, but we walked through all the options and Dr Dow and his staff made what could have been a pretty painful process as easy as possible. Neither he nor the billing managers BS around what each option means logistically or financially, and they do everything they can to negotiate with insurance if that’s the route you choose. I went in for my 6 month follow up today and, as much as I would have claimed to loathing and fearing all things dentistry, I genuinely looked forward to seeing them. My smile looks awesome. Grateful is an understatement.

What can I really say about Dr. Dow that hasn’t been said repeatedly?! Most recently I developed a toothache & called whining about it. Of course, they were able to get me in only to discover I needed the dreaded root canal. This place is amazing!! I am in Chicago for about 3 months and needed an emergency tooth repair before the weekend. I called this place and immediately walked over to see the dentist. I was referred to Dr. Dow from a collegaue and my experience was one of the best I’ve had at a dentist. My first appointment lasted an hour and half, because Dr. Dow and his staff were so thorough in going through my xrays, showing me pictures of my teeth and walking me through what they were doing throughout the whole appointment. I’ve never had a dentist actually explain what was going on during a checkup and it not only made having my teeth cleaned tolerable, but I learned a lot about my teeth and actually enjoyed it. I had such a great experience with Dr. Rohan I wish to share with everyone. I had a crown done at a previous dentist which was a problem because I had food wedging inbetween my teeth everytime I ate. Highly highly recommend this office! I have had nothing but great experiences whether it’s scheduling with the front desk or getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Dow is the best dentist in Chicago. Hands down. One of the things I’ve noticed about a lot of dentists in the area is that they’re constantly trying to sell you something, which makes it difficult to know if you really need something, or if they’re trying to make money. Not the case at all with Dr. Dow; it’s very clear that the health of his patients is the top priority. When I was having a lot of TMJ issues, instead of selling me on what he could do that might help, he referred me to a few other practices so I had a breadth of solutions/feedback to make my decisions with–to me, that makes a fantastic care provider who truly wants the best for his patients. On top of the above, the office is clean, the staff is so friendly and scheduling/insurance couldn’t be easier to deal with! Like I said, there just isn’t a better dentist in Chicago.

I wish I could give Dr. Dow 7 stars, and let me tell you why. I am a true phobic when it comes to a dentist. I have had a countless number of bad experiences! Really bad! I have had some true weirdos in my mouth! But after today, I think if I would have met Dr. Dow 20 years ago, I would have perfect oral health. It is something to be said of a dentist who is both patient and professional. It is even more when the tone and timbre of someones’ voice is equally relaxing. I was scared to death to have a tooth extracted, and I am scared to death to return in a few weeks — but I am going back because I need to and because I have a sneaky suspicion that things will go as smoothly as they did today. If anyone out there has an aversion to the entire dental profession (like me), try Dr. Dow. If you are scouring the internet looking for a dentist (like I was) I’d like to let you know you can stop now, because Chicago Style Smiles is the best place in Chicago to go. My story: I prowled the internet looking for a dentist after one of my back molars broke. After tirelessly searching, I stumbled across Chicago Style Smiles. Every single reviewer remarked about the absolutely amazing experience they had at the dentist. Not having been to the dentist for 7+ years, I was very nervous about going now to say the least. I had nothing to fear though. The front desk ladies greeted me with perky smiles and cheerful attitudes. They worked with my insurance so payment was easy and stress free. Dr. Dow and Diana made me feel so calm and at ease while filling my cavities and fixing my tooth. I was so embarrassed by how long it had been since I had seen a dentist, but not only did they reassure me that it’s perfectly normal for people to have anxiety about going to the dentist, they also went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and provide me with the best service one could ask for. I enjoyed my experience so much that I went back for whitening and cosmetic dentistry services. I had a short time frame in which I wanted to whiten my teeth and get my gap filled before I left for vacation and my 30th birthday, that they even stayed a little late to finish my whitening molds on the same day so I could start the whitening process immediately. A few days before leaving for vacation I went in and they performed cosmetic bonding in my 2 front teeth. Now I have had braces before, and a retainer behind my teeth and literally nothing could keep them together until now. If you are considering cosmetic bonding, I highly recommend doing it as it is a much more affordable option to braces and to veneers. Dr. Dow is a professional smile maker. There is no one else, I will trust to care for my teeth. He is meticulous and detail orientated in his work, if you didn’t know me prior you would never be able to tell I had cosmetic bonding done, you would just think I have naturally beautiful teeth. As soon as I left the office, I started getting and continue to receive so many compliments on how beautiful my smile is. I am so grateful to Dr. Dow and Diana for the amazing experience and for helping me love my smile again.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree (Business Marketing) from Iowa State University, Ames and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. In his free time Dr. Dow enjoys spending time with his fiancee Kristin and his two dogs, Sydney, an English Bulldog, and Kenzie, a boxer/hound/pit mix.
