Dr. Ryan was my dentist for several years during which time I had quite a lot of dental work done. I moved to another state in 2014. Recently, I found a dentist in my new city and scheduled a routine checkup. During the exam, the dentist asked me who my previous dentist was. He said, “He’s obviously an excellent dentist.” It turns out that the dentist in my new city used to teach dentistry before going into private practice. He said, “I know quality work when I see it.” Makes me appreciate Dr. Ryan even more than I did before.

I was Dr. Ryan’s patient over a series of years. I had a lot of trouble with Novocaine causing unusual and prolonged swelling. I’m no baby and I didn’t mind the dental work. It was always the weeks of swollen and tender gums after the exposure to Novocaine that made me miserable. Eventually, I developed a complete aversion to dentistry altogether! At a certain point, I had lots of dental work that needed to be done. I found Dr. Ryan and his staff to be fantastic! If what you care about is dentistry skill and a thorough and intelligent Dentist, then this is the place for you. He has a great sense of aesthetics and a wide breadth of knowledge. I’ve gone to other dentists since because I lost my good dental insurance. Sure, they were kind and sympathetic but honestly, none have had his knowledge and skill and I guess I was spoiled by such good dentistry. Sadly, I have some awful stories to tell about really bad marathon experiences in the dental chair and subsequent loose crowns,nevertheless, all done by sympathetic and caring yet under skilled dentists. Here’s a hint for everyone. Did you know that when you go to a budget dentist, they don’t necessarily have all the refined tools to give you the best looking composite fillings…the ones that are highly filed down and lie seamlessly over your teeth? Save up a little money and graduate to the best, seriously. Now that I have the insurance and the funds, I’m going back and guess what? Dr Ryan will be replacing all the bad dental work I’ve had over the last two years. Ironically, you don’t save money in the long run with budget dental work.

Dr. Ryan took me in over the holidays when I needed a root canal. My regular dentist screwed up and even though their message said they were on call, they weren’t. I returned to Dr. Ryan’s office today for a cleaning and met their hygenist, Candy. She did a great job. The front staff were friendly and helpful too.

If you’re fearful of going to the dentist, this is absolutely the place to go. Because I was so afraid, I kept putting off making an appt. for a very long time (Big mistake).  A coworker kept urging me to go to Dr. Ryan so finally when I was in so much pain that I couldn’t stand it anymore, I scheduled an appt.  Now I’m kicking myself for waiting so long.   IV sedation is the way to go.  I didn’t feel a thing! I couldn’t believe it.  Dr. Ryan and his staff were so great to me.   I can’t praise them enough. What a relief to never have to worry about going to the dentist ever again!
