I was Dr. Ryan’s patient over a series of years. I had a lot of trouble with Novocaine causing unusual and prolonged swelling. I’m no baby and I didn’t mind the dental work. It was always the weeks of swollen and tender gums after the exposure to Novocaine that made me miserable. Eventually, I developed a complete aversion to dentistry altogether! At a certain point, I had lots of dental work that needed to be done. I found Dr. Ryan and his staff to be fantastic! If what you care about is dentistry skill and a thorough and intelligent Dentist, then this is the place for you. He has a great sense of aesthetics and a wide breadth of knowledge. I’ve gone to other dentists since because I lost my good dental insurance. Sure, they were kind and sympathetic but honestly, none have had his knowledge and skill and I guess I was spoiled by such good dentistry. Sadly, I have some awful stories to tell about really bad marathon experiences in the dental chair and subsequent loose crowns,nevertheless, all done by sympathetic and caring yet under skilled dentists. Here’s a hint for everyone. Did you know that when you go to a budget dentist, they don’t necessarily have all the refined tools to give you the best looking composite fillings…the ones that are highly filed down and lie seamlessly over your teeth? Save up a little money and graduate to the best, seriously. Now that I have the insurance and the funds, I’m going back and guess what? Dr Ryan will be replacing all the bad dental work I’ve had over the last two years. Ironically, you don’t save money in the long run with budget dental work.
