Dr. McComb is an excellent dentist! He employees a great office staff, and everything from making appointments, to checking in, to receiving the actual dental work, to checking out and making payment has been professional in my experience. As a mom of a large family, I greatly appreciate the efficiency and relaxing experience of each visit, and I am one who grew up dreading the dentist. The thing that I appreciate most about Dr. McComb is his willingness and desire to educate his patients. He has given me many proactive solutions to ensure that I take good care of my teeth and minimize dental problems in the future. I would highly recommend Dr. McComb, and I confidently recommend him to my friends and family.

Not gonna lie, wasn’t totally thrilled a couple years back…the doc has always been but been great, super nice man and so kind and caring, and his dental nurse Shari rocks! Now a great new front office gal (Michelle, Miranda?) that welcomes you with a smile, and made sure to tell me she was so happy I came in… Had a question, she picked up the phone immediately and called my insurance, none of that I will get back to you later business….bottom line, support Downtown businesses and support this great office!

I recently moved to Chico.  My first dental experience here was a disaster, but I didn’t give up.  I chose Dr. McComb for my next dentist .  I felt like I hit the jackpot on.  The whole experience was great.  He is a smart, conscientious and kind.  His team is amazing too.  They all know me by name, which makes me feel more comfortable. They really go out of their way

Dr. McComb saved my life!! Well, it sure feels like he did. I went in with an emergency- I hadn’t been in before and his staff was kind enough to work me into the schedule on the same day!! He fixed me right up very quickly and could not have been friendlier or more knowledgeable. I’m looking forward to being a patient there from now on!

It has been my life’s experience that having to go to the Dentist is nerve racking, uncomfortable and most times painful, not to mention expensive for the privilege! Then I found Dr. McComb and his staff in Chico! I can’t say enough about them…any of them! They greet you with genuine smiles, concern and treat you like you’re old friends. Can you believe it?…it’s a dentist’s office!! Dr. Steve McComb was awesome! He had his work cut out for him. My teeth were painful and a visible mess…but he got me through all of it with little pain and discomfort. He fitted me with dentures that look great and I can actually chew food again without pain! They don’t move around, click clack or feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately, it was still expensive but not more so than any other dentists would have been! It was well worth every penny!! I recommend him and his staff HIGHLY…without reservation or hesitation!

I would like to thank the entire staff for all of their help and excellent service. I have been a patient for over 10 years and would definitely recommend this office to anyone. My favorite part is that the staff really gets to know you and offer service that I have not experienced anywhere else. I had a friend from out of town visit that had an emergency. They had lost their crown and were desparate fro help. One quick call to the office and my friend had the entire staff helping her get the much needed proceedure within 10 minutes of my phone call. Now with service like this, I will always do my best to recommend this dental office everyone. Let’s face it, there are many dentists around but none will treat you like family like Steve McComb will. Everything about this office is great – dentist, staff, front office, etc! They are friendly, professional, and on top of insurance stuff. They had my pre-authorization for follow-up work done by the end of the my cleaning (my first visit here) so I know exactly what my insurance would pay before I agreed to treatment. They call back quickly and are just on top of it. I would recommend this office to everyone!!

Dr.McComb and his staff are fabulous, super friendly and professional!! Their office was very comfortable and very accommodating, I got in as a new patient within a week of stopping in the office and the day I was there for my new patient exam they squeezed me into their hygiene schedule for my cleaning so I wouldn’t have to return for another appointment.

I had to schedule an emergency appointment with Dr. McComb. I have a long history with Drs and I therefore made an assumption he would be a little aggravated to work extra hours on a new patient. Couldn’t be further from the truth. This man is compassionate, caring, patient, and so on! He is the first doctor I have met within years that actually read all the paperwork they have you fill out as a new patient. Because he took the time to read the papers, he understood the extent of PTSD I have from 10+ years as a chronically ill patient. He not only wanted to know the story, but he also wanted to know how to make me as comfortable as possible, knowing this experience could be potentially horrid (in my mind). His dental assistant, Jessica, was the same! She kept checking in with me to see if I was ok, comfortable, and explained everything she was doing during x-rays. If you don’t like dental work or get freaked out – this is the place to go! Just remember to be upfront and vulnerable with them from the beginning so they can adjust and adapt to your situation.
