I was looking for a new dentist near me because I had a wisdom tooth growing in and came across this place online. They offered a coupon for new uninsured patients which was perfect for me. When I arrived they saw me almost immediately after I had finished the paperwork. Within five seconds of looking at my teeth Dr. Galina was able to tell that my tooth needed to be removed (it was about 1/3 of the way out of my gums). She was able to do the procedure right then and there with no hesitation and it only took ten seconds to remove. It was quick, painless, and I was on my way. Dr. Galina and her assistant Lana were amazing, nice, and reassuring during the whole appointment. They made the experience quick and easy. I would definitely recommend them.

Updated Review: I’m so happy with the top care and state of the art dentistry offered by Dr. Galina at City Dental. Lana, her assistant, is always so knowledgable and helpful. Costs are extremely reasonable and fair and Dr. Galina’s aesthetic for beautiful teeth are top notch. Anytime I need anesthesia there is never any pain, I love it. I just went in for a new crown and there was no discomfort. And there is rarely any waiting time. A well run office too that I definitely recommend. Terrific dental office. I’ve been going to Dr. Galina for over ten years and have received top notch care and results. I’ve been with Dr. Galina at City Dental for well over 10 years and I have benefitted tremendously from the expertise and friendly care as well as their flexible and reasonable rates. When I started going in my twenties, I needed more work done after some years of neglect, like root canal, crown, teeth whitening. But after being more consistent with regular 6 month visits, my teeth have continued to be and look healthy (I often get compliments on my teeth and smile) and I have Dr Galina and her awesome staff to thank. I am who tends to avoid seeking medical attention until it is to late. In this case, I pushed the tooth ache and gingivitis way to far and had to stop at this office for an emergency visit. I was extremely nervous and scared of how painful it would be. Dr Galina was on her way out of the office before noticing the amount of pain I was in sitting in the her waiting room. She quickly got back into her medical gear and was able to see me almost immediately. She was able to quickly reduce the pain by cleaning and disinfecting the infected gums, also reducing the tooth ache. I’ve been going back to her every few weeks for a check up on the gingivitis. Bless you Dr Galina, I truly appreciate the care you showed me that one evening and following visits.

Last year I had to find a new dentist, because mine retired. So I decided to look for one online, and found a few with great reviews. I decided to interview them, and see if they are qualified for my dental needs. I suggest doing the same if anyone is looking for a good dentist. And why not, the reviews and recommendations are great, but talking to a dental expert face to face previewing his portfolio and his dental lab work, is a smart way to start a relationship. In my opinion before trusting anyone to do the dental work, he needs to see if he feels comfortable with the doctor, plus his quality of work. After all it’s your mouth and your health we are talking about. After completing an intensive search for my new dentist I chose City Dental office with Dr Galina as a dentist. When I came to the office Lana the manager introduced herself and was very professional and courteous showing me around the office. I was very impressed with the dental work that was performed on a numerous patients by looking through the photo albums before and after shots. The quality of work was outstanding. I asked to see the actual crowns from the dental lab. The crowns look fantastic, so I knew right away that Dr. Galina was a very experienced and knowledgeable dentist. And that made me to say to myself she is the one, and look no further. I had a couple interviews with different dentists before I came to the City Dental office. I also had one more to go to, but I decided to cancel my appointment with another dentist in LA, because City Dental really impressed me with their presentation. Last week I had my first composite done on my upper central tooth and it feels and looks great. In fact, I can’t even tell that half of the tooth is a composite. It looks natural in the sun, normally a cheap composite shows right away outdoors in direct sunlight. I don’t normally leave long reviews on Yelp, just don’t have time, but I decided to do this time as a thank you for the wonderful service and great work. I wish people in other fields of their professions, would provide a great service like City Dental. Unfortunately some don’t, and that why I rely many times on Yelp.

I consider myself very lucky to have stumbled upon this dental office when I first moved to Los Angeles in 2010. I have made a dozen visits to the office now and have nothing but positive things to say about the service, the staff and the overall experience. Lana (spelling?) at the front desk is an absolute delight and is always smiling. Dr. Galina is very sweet and genuine, as she always engages in conversation and makes a personal connection with me each time I am there. She is very talented and did a beautiful job on my porcelain veneers. I also just had my wisdom teeth removed and everything was a complete breeze! The assistant, Aaron, is great and makes you feel comfortable by talking your ear off. With all of that said, I have had some not so satisfying experiences at nearby Doctor office’s and can’t help but compare those other places to City Dental. New to Los Angeles, I was looking for a dentist and took my son’s advice to make an appointment with Dr. Galina at City Dental Group. I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Galina. During the course of three appointments, I had a thorough examination and xrays, a cleaning, a root canal, and replacement of some bonding. I was never in any pain or discomfort, and was very pleased with the cosmetic results of the bonding. Dr. Galina is an excellent dentist. The people on her staff are also very caring and friendly, and the office itself is comfortable, modern and immaculate. I don’t write too many reviews, unless the provider of service really deserves one. My husband discovered this office just recently, and since I had to find a new dentist, because ours moved to Arizona, I decided to give it a try as well. I am scared of dental offices, and it takes some time for me to get used to a new dentist. But as soon as I entered City Dental I was greeted with a warm smile at the front desk, so we felt very at ease. I did not have to wait for a long time, Dr. Galina gave me full examination, thoroughly explained what needed to be done, including some gum treatment and root of a molar tooth in my lower right quadrant was exposed. Since I have not seen my dentist for some time, I had a feeling that I would need some work. While I were waiting in the waiting room for our treatment plans, I watched very education dental videos, and understood that this office took their job very seriously, providing the best customer service too. My treatment plans were ready and I was pleasantly surprised that the prices I was given were very much compatible, especially considering the fact that Dr. Galina was a superb cosmetic specialist.

Super legit. The dentist and her assistant (Dr. Galina and Lana) were very nice to me, and most importantly, they were looking out for ME, 100%. They answered all of my questions, and were very re-assuring. My insurance was running out, and they worked with my schedule to make sure I was seen before my insurance lapsed, for which I am extremely grateful. They also gave me an amazing deal on my root canal and crown, which was key for me to be able to afford it. If not for Dr. Galina and Lana, my tooth would probably be rotting away right now, but instead I have a really nice crown that looks and feels great, and hasn’t shown any issues through the first month. Unfortunately, I’m not a big dentist goer, but I know customer service when I see it, and I can say that I got very lucky by calling them first (actually I called them third, but they were the first to pick up – another feather in their cap). Dec 5th, I had my yearly exam at the dentist with Dr. Katherine Galina with City Dental. I hadn’t seen her for a bit this year due to my busy work schedule. Even though some time had past, her staff has been very proactive and have been following up with me so that I remember to schedule my yearly visit and cleaning. Dr. Galina always knows exactly what is going on with me and is very informative to help me understand what is needed for my overall teeth and mouth health. We fixed some issues I was having. The office also offers very flexible office hours and works with my busy schedule. They are also very professional, friendly, and organized. Dr. Galina helped me with my front bottom two middle teeth and had advised that I get veneers to improve my bite. There was some erosion and I was having issues with grinding my teeth. Dr. Galina had suggested to me that I get the veneers for my two front bottom teeth. This truly improved my overall smile and my bite. She did a beautiful job and the two new teeth matched perfectly the surrounding teeth and fixed my issues that I was having. I am very impressed by the service given this year and in the past. I would highly recommend Dr. Katherine Galina. This is a great dental office and extremely professional. I always feel comfortable and would highly recommend their service.

I have late occurring TMJ (began in my 20s) so before I knew what I was doing to my poor teeth at night or had a nightguard, I had sadly ground them down. I went to Dr. Galina and I did not have dental insurance at the time. She gave me a reasonable price for the six front veneers and eight years later they are the most natural looking teeth anyone has seen. I have dentists in NYC, where I reside now, comment on what an amazing job she did! I’ve had so many people comment on how beautiful my teeth are and ask how I was so lucky to be born with them. (I wasn’t!) I actually fly to Los Angeles to see her even now although I’ve been in nyc for the past six years. The quality of care received cannot compare and the fairness in pricing (I’ve priced out veneers with other people and one of my good friend’s fathers is even a dentist) is unmatched. I have been going to Dr. Galina for about 6 years now. She is always quick to let me know how I am treating my teeth and what I need or don’t need to do to keep my teeth healthy and beautiful. Dr. Galina and her staff are professional, friendly, and efficient. The office is elegant and always clean, and the receptionist Lana is great at scheduling so you never have a long wait in the waiting room (where they always have a huge selection of magazines on the coffee table). I am someone who has had A LOT of dental work throughout my 32-year life, and it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. At this office however I have always felt at ease. Eight years ago Dr. Galina installed veneers on all my upper front teeth, transforming my crooked smile into something I have felt truly confidant with ever since. She had also done a root canal, crown, and bridge for me back then, which have all held up great for all this time. I would have continued seeing her except I had moved away, but since coming back to LA this past year, I have returned to City Dental to get a couple more root canals and crowns, and all the work has been exceptional. I don’t wish upon anyone the amount of dental work I have had, as my teeth seem to be genetically predisposed to rotting out early, but saving the original teeth is supposedly always better than extracting them, and Dr. Galina has helped to save mine. Dr. Galina always makes sure I am numb enough to move forward with any procedure, the anesthetic at the ready in case I whimper that I have any sensation. I ended up with four shots for one of my root canals throughout the session, and if it weren’t for Dr. Galina’s attentiveness, I would have had terrible pain. None of the work on my mouth hurt afterwards, none of my crowns have failed in any way, and no one has ever noticed that I have anything less than “real” teeth all over my mouth (and I like to smile and laugh big). I do not have dental insurance, and Lana has been great with setting up a line of credit so I can pay off the work gradually. I didn’t shop around to find anything “cheaper” because the location, reliability, and friendliness all added up to being very worth it for me. When I make my monthly payment for my dental work, I feel grateful that I was able to get it all done in the course of a few weeks, feel better about my oral hygiene, and am even more motivated to actually floss… Regardless of all these personal reasons, I recommend City Dental to anyone just based on Dr. Galina’s expert hand and efficiency. You can tell she keeps up to date on new and current dental practices with lots of certificates on the wall, and I believe she does not use any amalgam in the fillings she does. Her assistant Charles is also very sweet and friendly. Overall a great dental office!.

I was blessed with good genes and had no teeth issues until one day I started feeling sensitive to hot and cold. So I looked online and found great educational movies from City Dental about Dental Hygiene and how brush your teeth, plus many other great short films. So I trusted that the office and the dentist could help. I was pleasantly surprised to meet the doctor Galina positive attitude and the gentle touch. She told me that even having great teeth from generation to generation does not prevent me from cavities and gum issues. Her words were: “With a reasonable care of my teeth they can last a lifetime!” was a very clever statement and shook me up a little. Anyway, I end up with a crown and 2 fillings, which looked pretty nice and natural, because they were all front teeth. She said that I must have done a lot of biting on fruits and vegies, which I definitely did. She suggested using a knife the next time. I even told her that I used to open a Coke bottles when I was younger. She laughed and said that she is surprised that I don’t wear any dentures. it’s a great office and Dr. Galina’s skills and positive attitude are second to none. I was lucky to find this wonderful office.

I have been a patient of Dr Galinafor over 12 years. When I first arrived from England my teeth were a mess. I had a mouth full of metal fillings, a denture plate and im sure a lot of cavities. Its true English people do have bad teeth. I had to have a lot of work done, including having all my metal fillings replaced with white ones. Ialso had a few root canals and bridges and a veneer. What ever needs to be done the Dr can do it and shes a perfectionist so she will not stop until everything is perfect. but the best thing of all its absolutly pain less. i will never go to another dentist. All of her staff are amazing, specially Lana the office manager, she will go to the ends of the earth to make sure you get the most out of your insuracne provider. So over the last 12 years the Dr has madesure i have a picture perfect smile.
