My daughters and I recently switch dentists as our previous dentist no longer accepted out insurance. It took me a while to decide, we settled on Coast Dental and Dr. Maddocks. Ashley was my hygienist and she was quick and efficient, very friendly. She had a gentle touch which I appreciate. The quick part was getting the bite wing x-rays done so it didn’t start up my gag reflex. When Dr. Maddox strolled in, I was already done and I liked his demeanor. He seemed jovial (best word I have to describe it) He said you look good, come back in a year. Though my hygienist said 6 months then after that 1 year. LOL All good. My 20 year old was right after me and she said she like Dr. Maddox also. He complimented her on her beautiful teeth, multiple times, and said that her Orthodontist (Hawaii) had done an amazing job! I am taking in my 18 yo daughter next week and referring my dad to them for future.

1 recently relocated from El Dorado hills, California and chose Coast DENTAL due to very good reviews. My first visit was great! Great staff and pain free cleaning. Dr Maddocks treats you like he’s a personal friend. Very professional and I’m glad he’s my new dentist.

Visited my regular Dentist’s office in Oceanside only to find that ANYONE familier was gone … same name, all new people. Had a problem with a loose front tooth, a crown. Was told abruptly that it was “broken” and I had no choice but a six tooth bridge costing well over five thousand dollars! At 67 years of age, NOT that guliable. A friend mentioned Coast Dental, telling me of an “honest” quality dentist. This was an understatement. Dr. Tom Maddocks is an outstanding Dentist with people skills unmatched in the industry today. Replaced my crown with a new one “almost” painlessly except for the cost (reasonable by today’s standards), but much less than that 5 grand bridge. If YOU need a DENTIST, look no further … they do not get better than Dr. Tom. AND, his staff is very professional and courtious as well.

I do not write reviews that often, but I feel compelled to do so after my visits at Coast Dental in Oceanside! My drive to their office is over an hour from our house, but we never hesitate to come here for dental work! I cannot stress enough how professional and friendly the staff is. Each time we leave from an appointment we feel like we just left a family member’s house. The staff always treats us with a personal touch that we have never experienced at any other dentist office. We appreciate how thorough and honest they are and appreciate their follow up phone calls after our appointments checking in on us. It is refreshing to go to a dentist without them pushing additional services on you. Well done Coast Dental.

I had a wonderful experience when I went to this dental office. It was clean and the staffing was well organized, friendly and they took extra care to ensure that I was comfortable and well informed. The dentist was thorough and efficient. I made appointments for both my kids before leaving. We’ve been waiting to find a GOOD dentist to treat us ROYALLY!!! Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

Coast Dental is the best dental office I have ever been to. Dr. Maddocks is both professional and personable, using the latest techniques and technology and taking the time to explain everything he is doing. The entire office staff is friendly and efficient in booking appointments and processing insurance and payments. Coast Dental has earned my highest recommendation.

Had quite a bit of dental work done here today and although a bit nervous for me the staff and I mean the entire staff is amazing. They take the time to explain everything that is getting done and it is very apparent that they all take great pride in what they do. Strongly recommend this Dentist, if you are looking for a place to go because of tooth pain, this dental office is the place. You will be glad you went here. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Maddocks and his entire staff; knowledgeable, professional, efficient and just plain nice to be around!!! I had been going to another dentist for many years and after much procrastination went to see this other dentist with some major problems. After a relative cursory look by the dentist, I was presented with a get well plan which cost, after insurance, $8700.00. Of significance are the charges of $1540 for period. scaling and $1185.00 for resin fillings. Needless to say, I was going to get a second opinion! I am a veteran, have Tricare Retiree Dental Program, and found that Dr. Maddocks was in the network. I received a comprehensive exam from Dr. Maddocks, a general teeth cleaning, a reevaluation exam and finally an out-the-door quote. The final result was that period. scaling was not required, the resin fillings were intact and did not need to be replaced. The out-the-door cost was $2185.00 versus my previous (now ex-) dentist’s quote of $8700.00. Dr. Maddocks’ work is reasonably priced, of the highest quality and he only recommends what is necessary. All of his recommendations are accompanied by clear and understandable explanations of the whys and alternatives. If you are in need of a dentist, you simply have to take a hard look at Coast Dental. I believe they are the “best value” in North San diego County.

Have been going here for years and have never had an issue. So easy to work with and I don’t dread seeing the dentist!

I’ve been going to Coast Dental now for at least 6 years (and for 3 years prior to us moving to Hawaii) and am very pleased with their services. They are prompt, friendly and never try to oversell you on unnecessary procedures. I am able to get appointments when I need them and they squeezed me in this week for an emegency visit.  Their billing is accurate. I have recommended them to my family who all uses them and loves them as well!

I won’t go anywhere else for my dental needs. Dr. Maddocks and his staff are personable and professional, putting me at ease from the minute I walk in to the minute I walk out. Great dentist and dental office.

Dr. Thomas Maddock was recommended to me by a trustworthy friend – I made an appointment – amazing staff. He has a great way of putting you at ease, and the work done on my teeth was well done and painless!  I also had an upper denture done and am satisfied. I also received a complementary teeth whitening. Strongly recommended

I went to Coast Dental for years before moving inland. Tried dentists in my area but now drive from Escondido to Oceanside because Coast Dental is the best! My five year old has been going there for three years now too. Highly recommend.

Love this dentist and staff. I’ve been to many dentist in my time but this one has been one of the best. I never feel pressured to get anything that is not necessary and the professionalism in this place is top notch.

Ryan, Daniel and Dr. Maddox couldn’t have been nicer or more professional . The front desk staff were extremely courteous and friendly. A wonderful experience for an emergency visit, while staying with family here in California. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

So, I haven’t been to the dentist in 81/2 years. Yeah. I know. Saying I was nervous about what they would find is an understatement. I have anxiety with dental work anyway. When I called to make an appointment, Melissa who works at the front was very kind and helpful. The office is lovely, clean, and even smells good due to the scented candles. They have televisions on the ceiling and headphones if you want to use them. They offer blankets as well. Ginger took me back for x-rays. She was very professional and explained each step. Next came Ashley, the hygienist. She was awesome! I instantly felt comfortable with her. She had me laughing! Turns out my teeth weren’t as bad as they could have been. Five small cavities and three medium ones. Doctor Jordan met with me and went over my x-rays and confirmed the cavities. Melissa went over the cost with me and told me that I could get the fillings done right then, if I wanted. I agreed. I then met Danny, the dental assistant. He was very kind and answered all the questions I had. It really says something when the entire staff is smiling and friendly. Doctor Jordan treats the staff with respect. I can tell everyone gets along well there. I have a complex medical history and pain/stress causes a vasovagal response in my body, meaning I get a drop in blood pressure and tend to feel sick when I’m undergoing medical/dental procedures. Doctor Jordan went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and was constantly checking up on me to make sure I was doing alright. I was only able to get the right side done (four cavities filled) due to time constraints and that I didn’t really want to be a complete drooling mess afterwards. Danny applied topical anesthetic before the numbing injections. They also warmed up the anesthetic before injecting it, so it wasn’t painful. I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure. The anesthetic lasted five hours. My jaw is a little sore today, but that’s to be expected from having my mouth open for such a long time. I can’t recommend this dental office enough! If you have any anxiety at all with dental work and are looking for a place where the staff are kind and understanding, then this is the place for you

I’m writing this while here in the office :). We love it here! They don’t guilt you for not flossing daily, they treat you super nice and they haven’t suggested unnecessary work. Thank you everyone!

I am a new patient at Coast Dental.  To date, I have enjoyed my experience with both the office staff and Dr. Maddocks.  Both of whom are very friendly, caring and professional.  I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Maddocks!  I appreciate his honesty and dental knowledge.  Furthermore, unlike other dentists I have met, he didn’t offer any unnecessary treatments or services to me.  He actually took his time and offered other options for me to consider.  There was no pressure from him to do anything but think about my options.  I am certainly looking forward to planning future dental work with Coast Dental.  I highly recommend this office and Dr. Maddocks.  JMG

I’m so happy with my dental care here at Coast Dental Services Inc. Everyone is so nice, from Melissa at the front, to Danny and Ginger who work with Dr. Maddocks, they are all just a great, personable, professional team. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Dr. Maddocks is the best dentist I’ve come across in my now 72 years. He replaced a front tooth for me that another office said could not be done without an expensive bridge. Dr. Maddocks professional manner and amazing quality work levels are deeply appreciated.

I had to find a dentist fast due to an abscess tooth. I choose Dr, Maddocks because he was in network with my dental insurance, so I wasn’t sure what  kind of an experience I would have. I have a fear of going to the dentist due to past visits over the years. Dr. Maddocks and his team where FANTASTIC!   His staff was kind and knowledgeable, Tara, and Ashley where great in answering all my questions about my insurance coverage. Michelle took my X-rays was very sweet and Danny Dr.s assistant was great. Knowledgeable on what I can expect made me feel very comfortable before the procedure. The BEST part of the visit was I DID NOT feel any pain during and after the procedure. Dr. Maddocks was EXCELLENT!  He explained what he needs to do in order to relieve me from the pain. I AM recommending Dr. Maddocks to my family and friends and to anyone who reads this review, go see Dr. Maddocks and his staff you will be totally satisfied with your visit.
