My 1st visit to Contos was in 2018-one of my old fillings and part of the tooth broke. I went based a referral from a close friend. 1st visit took rough edge ‘buffed off’; one X-Ray & two treatment Plans in writing- with a $50.00 discount due to Referral from a patient. I felt I’d found a safe trustworthy & Kind Dental Office! 2nd & 3rd visit-I Pre-paid for their wonderful 20% off 12-Month discount including 2nd Hygiene appt. no charge for those like me without Dental Insurance. Of course they work with Many Insurance Plans Then had Post & Crown. New crown fit perfectly. Next visit a comprehensive exam: full mouth X-Ray’s and detailed ‘inspection” each tooth & Gum to determine Gum Health-Critically Important. Fourth visit received four fillings for gum line exposure & serious surface deterioration on two upper front teeth. Felt great as soon as I got home! Next visit One of the two Best most detailed Hygiene procedures I’ve had in 43 years of Dental visits! Wonderful Front Desk Staff; Wonderful Dentists, soothing nicely decorated & efficient comfortable Office. I had some questions; they were completely explained & answered. I’ve already recommended & do recommend Contos Smile Center to anyone needing trustworthy Dental work with attention to individual needs. No more worries about where to go!

I had only one bad experience and that was a hygienist cleaning my teeth so forcefully that I couldn’t chew on one side for an entire month.  I called this office to see what could be done… the person who answered said someone else would get back to me.  No one ever did.   That was a bit disconcerting but because of Dr. Contos Sr., I have continued with this place of business.

It was one of the best experiences I ever had going to the dentist I was very nervous from the moment I walked in everyone was so friendly from the front desk Dental technician Dr Contos they really took my anxiety down everything was explained to me what’s going to happen in the future how the insurance works it was a great experience I would recommend any one of my friends or relatives

As a registered nurse I am constantly emphasizing the importance of dental health to my patients but did not take my own advice. I was experiencing extreme pain and discomfort for a few weeks for what I thought to be related to my teeth. I have not seen a dentist for quite some time and was petrified at the thought of having to receive dental work. The pain became so unbearable that I called the office to make an appointment. Recognizing that I was in so much discomfort they fit me into the schedule the same day. Turns out it was TMJ and I was not going to have to endure any invasive dental procedures. The staff at this office, especially Casey and Brenda, are knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain what they were doing. Dr. Contos was going to go out of town and was concerned that I may experience more discomfort while he was away so he gave me a referral to see another dentist just in case. As a registered nurse I understand the importance of having trust in your health care providers and can honestly say I developed that trust with the first visit. They are passionate about what they do and it shows in how they treat their patients.

Dr. Peter Contos and his whole team are hands down the best dental staff I’ve ever had – and I always HATED going to the dentist, so that says a lot. Dr. Contos and both of his assistants were so gentle, yet thorough, and made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the whole visit. There was never any pressure to opt in to procedures, and I was given a detailed price estimate of all offered procedures. I had some cavities filled and had to do it without laughing gas due to my pregnancy, which I had never done before, but I barely felt a thing, and was at ease for the entire procedure due to the caring nature of the staff. As a bonus, the receptionist is so kind and personable. She remembered me after 1 visit. Thank you, Contos Smile Center!

The experience at this establishment is unlike any other. They make you feel so welcomed and treat you like family. My entire family goes here and I always refer my friends if they need any dental work done. This is a family operated business with an extremely knowledgeable and professional staff. They also are very gentle when doing any procedure which is a plus and very accommodating. They were able to fix my husbands broken tooth the very next day it happened. (He had broken it in the evening when they were closed) They did everything possible to fix it as soon as possible so he wouldn’t have to walk around with his front tooth missing. Love these guys.

After my crown implant fell out while on vacation, I called Dr. Contos office right away. The receptionist was so kind and seemed genuinely concerned about my problem. When I saw the Dr., he was so patient and caring and spent so much time with me trying to find a solution. They took care of my problem and I didn’t have to wait until I went back home to fix. It was a great experience overall! Thank you!

Both my wife and I have seen Peter Contos recently and have found him to be the best dentist ever! He’s got a great personality, caring and friendly, and he gives clear details as for what he is doing while working on one’s mouth. In my case I had cavities and since they were not deep he actually let me try going forward without novacaine or whatever else they use. No dentist has done this before and it was a huge success. No messed up mouth for hours! We did not have a bad experience with the staff as other have here, they were great. My wife was an hour late and they still fit her in and we’re welcoming when she was a new client. The office is immaculate and full of magazines. Everything about our experience was five stars!

Got referred here by 1 800 Dentist for an emergency toothache.  They worked to slip me into the schedule and got me in the chair, verified my coverage and took good care of me.  I had a BAD cavity that the quickly triaged and performed the 1st 1/2 of a root canal this PM.  They were sensitive while not being overly serious.  Explained everything well, seemed concerned for my well-being and very polite.  I have been avoiding finding a dentist (hence the cavity), but I’ve found mine now.

Easily one of the best healthcare related experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone I met in this office was friendly, genuine, and happy to provide the best service possible. I’ve never seen such amazing tools and technology either. A 3-D digital model of your entire mouth created in a few minutes, right on the spot!? Comon! It’s evident that the healthy culture in this office is thriving. I felt like I received the best care possible in my short visit, and, believe it or not, I actually look forward to my next appointment there. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with dentists in the past, so this is really saying something. So glad to have found Dr. Contos and his team in the sea of dentistry here in Chicago.
