Dr. Cook is THE BEST dentist I have ever had. Everyone in the office is exceptional. His staff always greets me by name and I love seeing them each time I walk in their door. They do their best to work me into Dr Cook’s schedule, and I have never had a problem with making an appointment. Dr. Cook transformed my smile with dental bonding. He explained every part of the procedure before, during, and after. My smile makes me so much more confident and I owe that to Dr. Cook and his amazing staff. I will always make an appointment with Dr. Cook’s office because his care has been unmatched.

First let me start by saying I love the sweet lady at the front desk that always answers the phone and checks you in and out, She is a doll plus sets a great sweet tone for Dr. Cooks office. Second, Dr.Cook and his assistant are patient and understanding. I’ve never felt nervous being under their care, they communicate with you on everything they are doing. Best Dentist staff around!

LOVE Dr. Cook and his staff! Amazing new office, makes you feel super comfortable and personable. Still has my daughter’s picture she drew him about 5 or 6 years ago (and it’s moved 2 offices since then). Such a sweet and awesome doc! And I am super anxious about dentists, to the point I have to be gassed every time, but not at Dr. Cooks! Just had a crown done with no nitrous (which is a first)!!! Thank you for all you do Dr. Cook!

When my front tooth broke for the second time, I went to Dr. Cook to have it repaired. Because I broke the corner, there was a possibility that the tooth could break again. He suggested a crown. Since I have always had spots on my front teeth, I saw this as an opportunity to have those spots gone. I had crowns on both teeth and I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome. I love my teeth. Those spots are gone but the teeth don’t look unnatural. Dr. Cook is a wonderful dentist and the office staff are super nice.

Dr. Cook is fantastic. He’s incredibly gentle and caring. His staff is friendly and helpful. I actually look forward to going to his office. Plenty of dentists are more businessmen than doctors, but Dr. Cook genuinely cares about his patients. I’d recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a dentist. You really can’t go wrong. I’ve never seen a person walk out of his office without a smile.

After an extensive google search for dentists in the Birmingham area, I chose Dr. Cook’s practice; so my review is titled, “Who does that anymore?” After a rotten experience with Affordable Dentures, I called Dr. Cook’s office, explained my dental situation including my short three week timeline to have everything done in order for me to be able to return to my teaching position in Alaska and was given an initial appt. within two days. A plan of action for a misplaced implant and new upper denture were made that very day. Four short appointments later I walked out with a new perfect denture and smile! But, in between that short block of time I had in the dental chair with Dr. Cook, kudos go out to his wonderful staff as they called often for an answer to a question Dr. Cook had, easily accommodated me with their appts. versus my other doctor appointments, called and made an appt. for me with an oral surgeon for further consultation on my misplaced implant(Affordable Dentures). They also provided kids with a toy choice from their Treasure Chest instead of a lollipop and listened to my crazy life living in ‘bush’ Alaska. Dr. Cook and his staff are thorough, accommodating, gentle, good listeners and make you feel like you are their only patient for that day!!!! They are now my only choice for dental care!!!!

I recently transitioned to Dr. Cook for a second opinion. From the moment I made my appointment it was refreshingly clear that Dr. Cook and his staff are providing a quality experience. The receptionist was genuinely friendly, the hygienist kind with good bedside manner. The photos on yelp are outdated. His new location in lakeview is beautiful. The physical space is light, airy, modern and open. The location is super convenient. Can’t recommend Cook Family Dentistry enough!

Seriously the BEST dentist ever! I came to Dr. Cook for the Inman Aligner to straighten my front teeth. After my first visit, my whole family started seeing Dr. Cook full time. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, from the moment you walk in the door, you feel like family! My kids love going to the dentist now. His office downtown is in such a convenient location. Also, if you love Fixer Upper you’re going to love the look and feel of his office. I highly recommend!!

I have been to dentist after dentist and wasn’t please until I was told about Dr. Cook. I walked in and from the time I walked in to the time I walked out I was taken care of. Beautiful, nice, and professional staff. And Dr. Cook himself is amazing. I have found the right place for me. Everything I had going on he addressed and make sure I get it taken care of. Dr. Cook and staff are very timely and care about their patients. I have had cleanings, fillings and routine checkups with Dr. Cook. The hygienists are great. Cleanings are very comfortable. Dr. Cook has all the up to date equipment and is very knowledgeable. Finding a good hygienist that does not kill me during cleanings and a caring competent dentist is very important to me.

Dr. Cook took it all a step further by giving me my options for what I needed to have done to correct some chipped teeth, to take care of my night grinding/clenching and for payment for all of these services! I’ve always dreaded going to the dentist, and since I’ve moved around a lot due to work, I’ve not been able to settle in and become comfortable with anyone. Dr. Cook and his staff made my last visit surprisingly different than I’d become accustomed to. Upon arriving, instead of shoving a bunch of forms in my face and directing me to fill them out, they took the time to speak with me like I had been a patient there for years. I immediately noticed that Cook Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is not a large operation just there to make money, they are a smaller practice that actually cares about each patient as an individual. The technician that called me to the back was very friendly, she spoke to me through the entire appointment making sure that I was comfortable and that there were no surprises – I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate how gentle and thorough she was. Once my cleaning was complete, Dr. Cook came in, introduced himself and looked everything over. He gave me the “ok”, but did suggest some brushing techniques and a different mouthwash to use to ensure my oral hygiene stayed up to par. Normally, this is where the Dr. would exit, but with Dr. Cook it was different. He stuck around a bit to get to know me… he actually walked with me all the way to the front door. No one will ever convince me that going to the dentist is fun, but Dr. Cook and his staff have definitely taken away any anxiety I have about coming in for my next cleaning. Thank you all!! See you in 6 months!
