I love Dr. Poitras and all of his team. Everyone is so friendly and kind. They have a thousand things they can offer to make every visit as comfortable as possible. Even my husband, who hates going to the dentist, loves this office! No waiting around for hours. No guilt trips about the condition of his mouth. They actually made him feel good about the fact that he came in at all. They really go out of thier way to make every visit a great experience. Oh and his work is beautiful too. He takes the time to make sure its perfect. I can’t tell you how lucky we feel to have found him!! Bring the whole family. Bring your friends. You won’t be sorry.

Dr. Samurai and his team is so incredibly sweet and helpful. While the dental work I had done was more painful that most I’ve had done in the past, the team was so patient and professional on the whole. I especially appreciated Faye and her very kind demeanor. Also, the dental hygienist here is a rockstar!! I wish I could remember her name!!! She was by far the best hygienist I’ve ever been too. She took the time to recommend ways to care for my teeth. I had never had anyone do that before! I really appreciated her taking the time to do that.

When my dentist re-located to an area far away I was devastated…even more so when I tried to find another dentist – I did not pick well the first time.  Thank goodness a friend of mine recommended Dr. Poitras!  I felt so taken care of by the entire staff!  I now have a great experience ‘under my belt,’ and the confidence and peace of mind that I have indeed found my new dentist.  Major shout-out to Jen, thank you so very much, Jo

OMG!!! Had my first laser cavity treatment. No anesthesia needed and though the laser seemed like it was going to hurt, it really didn’t. It was a deep cavity and when they drilled down deeper with the laser it felt like the tooth’s nerve was being tickled strongly, but no real pain! I was also surprised how much faster the laser made the treatment. The whole procedure and filling only took about 25 minutes and i was out the door without having numbed mouth and cheeks. Very satisfief customer here!

Dr. Poitrus and his staff are amazing. He is well established in the valley, has great credentials, and has a very kind chairside manner, same with his staff. The office is clearly well ran and I sense that delays are very rare. I’ve been in and out without any delay on my visits. I’ve been to a couple newer offices in SCV that left me incensed at their intentional misdiagnoses to upsell procedures – I can’t recommend Dr. Poitrus enough.

I have been going to Dr. Poitras for a few years now. I had a huge fear of dentistry resulting from frightening and painful dentistry experiences as a child. Adult visits were no better. As a result, I only saw a dentist when absolutely necessary, and had not had a regular cleaning in many years. I knew I really needed dental work and probably had gum disease because my gums were bleeding regularly. I couldn’t even eat an apple without seeing blood left behind. I asked around, and a friend recommended Dr. Poitras. From the first phone conversation detailing my fears, they were very kind and reassuring. I needed medication for anxiety just to get me in the chair for the first time. I was embarrassed about avoiding the dentist for so long, but no one at the office ever made me feel like a “bad” or “negligent” person. Dr. Poitras has a very gentle touch and kind personality. On that first visit, I had x-rays and an exam. They explained a treatment plan in detail, beginning with deep cleaning quadrant by quadrant due to the state of my gums, and proceeding through a dental implant and some other necessary procedures. For the first couple of procedures, I needed “sedation dentistry,” which consisted of oral medication that I took at home before my visit (someone else must drive you). The sedation allows you to be conscious and able to respond and follow directions during the visit, but you do not remember a thing! Worked great for me. After that, I was comfortable enough to just use nitrous oxide during my visits, which I have been doing ever since. I have cleanings every 3 months to keep my gums healthy. The implant is the best thing I ever did–can’t even tell which tooth it is and I can eat completely normally. I highly recommend Dr. Poitras to all of you dental-phobic people out there in Yelpland.

I’m a new patient, a new and incredibly pleased patient! If you’re looking for a new dentist in the Santa Clarita area, I highly recommend Cooper Canyon Dentistry and Dr. Poitras. I found CCD on Groupon and now have recommended the office to four different friends. Upon my first visit, I was greeted by smiling faces by the front office staff. The building is new and the office is neat and clean. After filling out my new patient paperwork, I was placed into an exam room with no wait time. I was first seen by Dental Hygienist Carrie Ann. She was the absolute sweetest!! Made me feel so comfortable. She explained the procedures clearly, took my Xrays, did a thorough cleaning all while getting to know me as a new patient. Then I was seen by Dr. Poitras who was professional, patient, and friendly. He reviewed my medical chart with me, we discussed my current dental health, and he offered information about all the services his office offers. I am thrilled with Cooper Canyon Dentistry and look forward to being a long time patient.
