I had a facelift with Dr. Costa a bit over a year ago, and I’ve waited until now to review him as it takes time to be able to look backwards and evaluate. I am thrilled to say that every possible touch point of my experience with Dr. Costa and his staff has been exemplary. 1. The initial information session was clear, detailed and included possible problem scenarios. I asked about and appreciated hearing worst case scenarios even tho I didn’t expect them to occur. (Nor did they!) 2. The follow-up package was specific, detailed and comprehensive with regard to prep, actual operation, immediate follow up and longer term follow-up and treatment. 3. The nurses and staff were amazingly available (even over a holiday weekend – thank you, Trish) – both via phone and email. I went for 2 or 3 follow-ups and didn’t need any more. However, I knew I could always call, and they would welcome me. 4. The offer that I remain overnight after the surgery was spot-on: I was so glad I hired an outside ‘helper’; a friend would have been in the way and clueless about my situation. 5. I was very specific with Dr. Costa about what I wanted him to take care of (AKA, how I didn’t want to take on the facial characteristics of my mom) — and he listened and did exactly what I requested. 6. Outcome: FANTASTIC. But what I really appreciate was/is the detailed documentation and timeline about recuperation (with parameters to include all ages and skins and healing types), how long it would take for facial areas to feel normal, etc. I just wanted no surprises, and there were none. Thank you, Dr. Costa and amazing staff!!!

Just had my first exam this afternoon and I actually walked out happy. The office is modern and clean, and everyone is friendly. And Anna is my favorite hygienist – she was very gentle which is a nice change since my teeth are tight and it hurts to floss. I don’t normally leave reviews – or love a dentist – but I’m happy to recommend Costa!

Dr Costa and his staff are the best! I have major fear of the dentist and get extremely nervous going for anything but a cleaning. Several years ago, I felt as though my eyes were making me look tired. Following a consultation with Dr. Costa, I proceeded with upper/lower eyelid surgery. I couldn’t be happier, as I’m constantly complimented on “how pretty my eyes are!” Recently I proceeded with a facelift and forehead lift, I look refreshed and it’s so natural, no one would know I’ve had surgery!! I can’t thank Dr. Costa enough! He is truly a gifted surgeon! Thanks so much!

LOVE this dentist! I am very picky when it comes to my dentist so when I moved to Charleston I tried around 5 different places before I finally found Costa & Williams. They have a clean, updated office. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hygienists do an excellent job as does Dr Costa. My husband who hates going, doesn’t mind it (which is saying a lot). Very happy I found them!

We are new to the area and didn’t have insurance yet as I had just started a new job, but I had a crown come loose. I called Costa and Williams and they made room for me to come it and had me on my way. There office is right on Folly near Maybank and it is as welcoming as their friendly staff. Art work on the walls and monthly art shows, with food and drink, who would have thought a dentist office would be a place to go for fun! Once my insurance became active I booked appointments for the whole family for cleanings and checkups. They do a great job from the office staff to the hygienists to the Doctors, who are skilled beyond anything I have experienced before. I am so glad I chose this wonderful office and have found the place I will entrust my family’s care for for as long as We are in Charleston.

I highly recommend Costa Family and Cosmetic Dentistry! I’ve had everything from normal check-ups/cleanings to fillings to crowns done by Dr. Costa and his team and they are by far the best I’ve ever experienced! I also had Glo teeth whitening done in the Great Falls office today and WOW…it worked amazingly well! I have naturally sensitive teeth so I was nervous going in, but it was completely painless and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. They truly are the best!

Costa and Williams is amazing. I love everything about the staff and the dentists here. They are really amazing people, great at their jobs and so nice and comforting. 1. I came in here about a month or so ago after not going to the dentist for a bit from moving to Charleston after living in boston for like 10 years. I knew that I needed to go to the dentist because it had been awhile and I was scared of all the bad things they would tell me were wrong with my teeth! 🙁 2. When I came in for my first apt they didn’t make me feel scared or bad about it. More made me feel super comfortable and more excited to get me on a path to a healthy mouth and head of teeth again. I did have lots of things that I needed to work on and get fixed but we came up with a plan that I felt comfortable about and happy with. I am a pretty scared dental patient and have white glove syndrome BAD- my blood pressure sky rockets. They have worked with me on that and helped me relax before any service that I get. I just want to say thank you to the whole team here because you are all gems and make me feel better about getting on track with my teeth. If you move to town and are nervous with who to go with I highly recommend this team.

I have been going to Dr Costa for several years and the care and service have been consistently excellent. The entire staff is helpful, cheerful and concerned about your well being. Just had a filling done in about 30 minutes with absolutely no pain from the novocaine shot through drilling and grinding. Dr Costa is quick but thorough. Highly recommended.

Dr. Costa performed a “mini-facelift” on me in June 2015, and I could not be happier with the results. The “mini-facelift” involved tightening of the skin around my neck and a lift of the jowls (hate this word) and cheeks. I remember a few years back when people used to talk about their “turkey neck”, and I thought that is no big deal. When I got that first glance of the infamous “turkey neck” on me, I thought I now know what those people were feeling. It was when I was in my son’s bathroom cleaning up and turned to leave and got a glance of “it” in the mirror. I decided to research surgeons specialized in this area, and Dr. Costa was one who came up frequently in conversations and in reviews…ALL POSITIVE. His partner, Dr Dana Heikes, performed a breast lift (mastopexy) on the left side and a bilateral breast augmentation with saline implants under the chest wall muscle. I was a 34 C prior to breastfeeding two children and age, and then I had two sagging breasts, one more so than the other. I just wanted my pre-breastfeeding/age breasts back, and I got them. I actually prefer them to my young original breasts. These surgeries were done under one general anesthesia; Dr. Heikes worked his miracle first and then Dr. Costa followed. The staff was unbelievable, even the nurse anesthetist call to check on me. Their nurse, Tricia, called daily for a week to check on me. She has been with the practice for over a decade which says a lot about the practice. People comment that I look great and did I get a new haircut or something? At the time, I did not have a new haircut, but now I have a short pixie “Scarlet Johansson” cut…….to show off my neck. My 13-year old daughter insists I should be Tris from Insurgent for Halloween because “you look just like her.” Remember she is in her 20’s. If you decide to go for a consult, ask for my before and after pics. The surgery was June 16, 2015. The practice can call or email for authorization to release these pictures for your viewing if needed. It is really amazing, and I really feel good about myself! This is a wonderful practice, and I am so happy with the results.

I went to Dr. Costa for a rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, and upper/lower eyelids, and I am astounded with the marked improvement I saw while still maintaining a natural appearance. I have a confession to make, I haven’t been to the dentist in a little bit and I was nervous to go back. I have never had a positive experience at the dentist until I went to Costa and Williams. It was affordable and they calmed my fears about my teeth being in bad shape. I came in worried that my fillings were loose, but turns out they just felt that way because I had a cold. I had no idea that was a thing. After I found out my fillings were fine, they got me in for a cleaning because someone cancelled, bonus! The cleaning went smoothly and they showed me before and after pictures, which was nice to see! They even accommodated an extremely sensitive tooth that I had by wrapping it in gauze during the cleaning. I scheduled a second appointment because I did have one cavity and so they could clean up my fillings. The cavity procedure went smoothly as well and I was numbed up appropriately. They also give you headphones to listen to music, which is much better than hearing the drill. I got in and out without breaking the bank without dental insurance, which was great. The staff is friendly and I would recommend them to anyone!

I have known Dr. Costa since before I chose him as my dentist. During a visit to Charleston a dental crown that was put in by my regular dentist in Seattle came loose. I called Costa and Williams the next morning and they were able to see me immediately. What a fantastic experience. The office decor is phenomenal throughout the facility. You really have to see it to believe it. All the equipment in the procedure rooms is brand new and top notch. The staff members were welcoming and helpful. Dr. Costa is knowledgeable and highly skilled, with a great chair-side manner. Overall my experience was phenomenal. I wish Costa and Williams was based in Seattle! After my return home I showed my regular dentist pictures of their incredible facility on the Costa and Williams website. She was quite impressed. I highly recommend that you give them a try. You will be so glad that you did.

10 years ago I had a fall and broke my 2 front teeth, I got them “fixed” but they were never quite right. I went to Dr. Costa’s office for a regular cleaning and we got to talking about the fall. He told me that there had been a lot of improvements in technology since then, and he could help make them look more natural. I couldn’t wait to hear more! Yesterday, with just a few weeks until my wedding day, he performed the procedure. I am so thrilled with the final outcome! I know that my smile on my wedding day will be my happiest, but now I’m also very confident that it will shine the brightest it has in about a decade!
