I’ve been a patient here for years and even though this is a really long commute for me I don’t know if I could ever have another dentist unless I really have to. Not only the staff here is really nice, friendly and welcoming, Dr. Ernest Costello is a great dentist, the new office space is great and very modern and they’ll always cater to your availability. Like I mentioned even though I don’t live in Arlington Heights anymore I wouldn’t mind driving back when I have an appointment with them. It’s really hard to find a Dentist that you like.

I have a physical condition which prevents me from opening my mouth very wide and had a tooth all the way in the back in desperate need of extraction. My mother suggested I contact Costello Dental Excellence because the doctors and staff were friendly, compassionate, and understanding. She couldn’t have been more right. I was overwhelmed by the hospitality and genuine concern for my welfare upon meeting Dr. Ernie Costello and all those around him. I was sincerely touched. The extraction was extremely difficult but not once did I feel as though I was a burden because Dr. Costello and his assistant reassured me otherwise throughout. I feel extremely lucky to have been directed to Costello Dental Excellence and highly recommend this facility to anyone in need. Thanks Dr. Costello and everyone on the staff. You guys rock!

This was my second visit to Costello & DeHart Dental Excellence. My first was for a cleaning, and my second was a small repair to a tooth. Everyone I met was kind, professional, and personable. They do good work and treat their patients with great care. Dr. Ernie not only does good work, but he has a great sense of humor. He’s very easy to talk to. I felt comfortable being there even in the age of CoVid. They make sure that everything you touch is clean and up to top standards for the pandemic. I heartily recommend them.

John has always been a great dentist. Then came his son and what can I say? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. They’re both very good at what they do. It also helps that they have accompanying staff who is just as good at what they do as John and Ernie are. I can’t think of many in the dental/medical profession who would take as much time to resolve insurance missteps as Liz has for me when the insurance company decided to not cover something they said they would. They all clearly care for their customers and rather than make the customer pay they take the time to keep insurance companies honest. They build long standing relationships with their clients and it’s obvious why after your first meeting with them.

I can’t say enough about this business! All good, of course. My step-daughter recommended them when we moved here and we have never looked back. My husband has issues and they have been so kind dealing with him. And I have issues as well, and so I go every 3 months. It’s all good

Very friendly, personable and professional. Fantastic state of the art office!! I do enjoy going to this office even though most of us hate going to the dentist. Staff is caring, knowlegable, remembers who you are along with being very helpful in accommodating appointments that works with your schedule! Love this Dental group!!

Love these guys. Dr. Ernie and Dr. Jay have walked me through terrible tooth issues and never fail. I inherited terrible teeth and they have solved all my problems. Especially Ernie, who if you are lucky may serenade you with a tune or two while he concentrates on a particular tooth. I especially appreciate that they work with you on a difficult issue and don’t give up until they have made it right. Thank you both, and your very personable staff.

Ernie and his staff always put you at ease and explain everything they are doing to ensure you understand all of your options. This is a long standing family business, and they really do care about their clients. I highly recommend them to anyone,.

Been a patient for over 10 years. My children now are patients of Dr. Costello as well. It has been a wonderful experience every time I go there, it is like seeing old friends. They always ask about the family and I feel like I receive very individual treatment. Would highly recommend their services. They also have very modern technology and make everything PAIN FREE! Going to the dentist can actually be pleasant and fun.

I broke my filling on Sunday night and I called next morning to schedule an appointment thinking they could fit me in a week or two. Luckily, they were able to see me Monday afternoon. Wait time is close to nothing, beautiful office (very aesthetically pleasing), all of the team members are pleasant to talk too and of course Dr. DeHart did an amazing job on my filling. I’m definitely going to come back and I highly recommend this office to anyone who’s searching for a great dental place. 10/10

This dental office is excellent. From the moment you walk in you are treated with kindness. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and makes sure you are well informed about what the customer’s dental procedures will be. The office is very clean and comfortable. We had the best experience this morning. My three year old daughter, Caroline, was apprehensive about going to the dentist. The moment we walked in the door, everyone went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. The front desk, Anne Marie, and Dr. Ernie were all so friendly, caring, and patient. Dr E Costello is wonderful. I had to have a tooth removed and he was great at explaining what the process would be and if I needed anything after office hours to call his cell. I really wish I could get veneers at his office , I am so sure they would be beautiful. Just can not afford the $21,000 . I have wanted veneers since I was 19 yrs old. I guess, i will just continue taking pictures with out a real smile. But this office is great . Everyone is so friendly.

the other day i went in for a couple of fillings.  historically, i hate this, the worst thing ever……but this time, not a problem.  this was the first filling that i had done at this office.  Dr. Ernie Costello was my doctor and seriously knocked the cover off the ball.  answers questions, provides choices, makes you feel comfy, and did a great job.  in my opinion, just the right amount of numbing….not too much where i was drooling all day and not too little where i was in pain while in the chair.  lastly, and maybe most importantly, afterwards my bite was unchanged….in the past, i will have to chew strangely until i wear down the subject filling and things fit right.  not this time, great aftermath.  thanks.

I have always had a very positive experience at Costello Dental Excellence! Everyone is greeted with a warm welcome and I always feel like I am treated with respect and compassion. The staff know each patient and treat them like family, it really is a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Not only does Costello Dental stand out for it’s friendliness, but I feel that John and Ernie and the staff do an extremely thorough job and are attentive to my comfort and needs throughout the cleaning or procedure. I’ve been going to Costello Dental since I was ten. That makes it 44 years so far for me with this special practice! I started with Dr. John in 1974 and now am happy to see his son, Dr. Ernie, as well. Recently Dr. DeHart fixed a few of my teeth, too. I’ve always felt more like a family member than customer here. In fact, with 2 preventative visits a year, I see them more often than much of my own family! I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially if you are nervous when it come to seeing a dentist. They are very caring, compassionate, gentle & patient. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I’ve been going to Costello dental excellence for many years and have yet to be disappointed in anyway. From the dental hygienists to the dentist themselves nothing but professionalism and kindness. Dr. Ernie’s work is excellent. He explains his procedures and he is gentle in his approach. If you’re looking for a dentist this is definitely the place to go. My family and I were looking for a new dentist closer to our home. This place is by far the best dentist office I have been to. The front office staff is so welcoming! The dental hygienist, Laura, made my son’s first visit so comfortable he even asked when he could go back. Dr. Ernie is extremely friendly and professional. So happy I found this practice!

Had my first visit after my wife took our kids there (who had a great exam experience btw). Had a warm welcome from the receptionist from the start, the staff were very kind and explained each procedure they were doing and what they were looking for, equipment and techniques are modern and an upgrade from where I came from (which was a place I really liked in the city). Dr. Costello seems to be part of the community… Overhead him taking to another patient about attending their kids lacrosse game just cause he wanted to see the kid play. Pretty cool. Would highly recommend checking them out…I see my family here for a long time.
