They accommodated me last minute as a new patient for a broken filling and shortly thereafter performed a swift installation of a crown (which I rescheduled twice while I battled the snow.) All of this in the midst of switching dental insurance, and they are in-network for both plans. Kind and attentive staff, they explained the procedures and the billing, and they made extra effort to ensure things were done correctly. I’ve already recommended them to several people.

This is, without a doubt, the best dentist I’ve ever been to! I went in to see the Endodontist, Shane Clark, because my normal dentist (in Santa Fe, not affiliated) said I needed a root canal. He was an awesome guy, very friendly and knowledgeable. He informed me I didn’t need a root canal, just a filling. They were able to fit me in that very day to get the filling. The dentist who helped me was Marisol King, and she was absolutely awesome! I will definitely recommend her to my local family and friends. She was extremely kind about my situation and even allowed me to watch the mill as it created my porcelain filling! I’ve always had a negative experience with dentists, but I had a great experience here and will definitely be returning.

Dr. King and her staff are beyond amazing. I have suffered from severe anxiety when it comes to dental work for years. Over the last two years of seeing Dr. King, I have never once needed any gas or medication to calm my nerves. I have even been undergoing Invisalign through her and its been an amazing experience. Super friendly and professional! I really felt a strong sense of teamwork, CARE, and professionalism today with Dr. Marisol King, Kara, Cassandra, Sarah, and Stormi. They were all so incredibly friendly, took the time to chat with me, and explained all the things that they were doing during the different stages of my visit. They were very busy with lots of patients but nothing felt rushed. I had to go in for a minor procedure with one of my fillings and I don’t have dental insurance. They had a great “new patient” deal for an exam, X-rays, and a cleaning for $59. Kara, their awesome clerk/receptionist broke everything down for me (including tax, explaining about the extra $15 for the doctor’s PPE, and the option to add on a fluoride charge for my cleaning or not). COVID-safe practices were in place and I felt comfortable. Thank you for staying open during this second lockdown to take care of people!

I have to say, like most people, going to the dentist is a dreaded experience. I switched to Cottonwood Smiles recently and I am already impressed with the attention to detail. Dr. King is thorough in her exams as well as her explanation of everything going on. She is straightforward and honest about what procedures are needed. I came from a not so great dentist and they came to the rescue! The staff is extremely friendly and are there to answer any and all questions one might have. I have been going to Cottonwood Smiles for a little over a year now and my experience has been nothing but stellar. In order to be tad objective I do have some cons to go with the pros. Pros: 1) Hands down the most friendly staff I have EVER interacted with in dentistry. They are great with kids and professional with adults. 2) The facility is new and it shows. The building has a clean feeling and it places you a good mood to know the atmosphere is nice. 3) The location right off Alameda is great and there is plenty of parking which is great. Cons: 1) The waiting area is a bit small so it could get crowded if a bunch of people showed up at once but it’s never happened.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. King and her staff. I’ve never had a more thorough exam/cleaning as a new patient! I have regular check-ups, and I’ve always thought they had the most advanced technology available. There is so much technology in this office, it was intimidating! Dr. King walked me through every x-ray and exam step, so there was no anxiety whatsoever. I was not strongarmed into upgrades, and I walked out under $100.

I had been researching dental implants for quite sometime. As soon as I walked into my consultation at cottonwood smiles I felt welcomed. They took their time explaining everything and I didn’t feel they were trying to get me into getting unnecessary procedures, like some of the other places. There equipment is state of the art, this office is equipped with the latest technology. I felt very comfortable and well informed. I made the decision to have my implants placed here. Dr. Marisol king is amazing, she is a caring, down to earth person. She is highly skilled at what she does. I had 2 molar implants placed here and I honestly couldn’t be happier. I have my chewing power back and my quality of life has increased drastically. Thank you!

Yeah… NEVER thought I’d say I loved going to see the dentist, but it’s true… Dr. King and her entire staff made me feel very comfortable. I have been coming to Dr.King and her staff for almost 4 years. It’s been the best decision in my medical history ever. No lie. Her operation might be the best dentistry in all of Albuquerque. When it came time to have my toddler see a dentist for the first time I didn’t think about him going somewhere else for even one second. These guys are great. They’re always friendly and courteous and never make us feel bad about waiting too long between appointments. They’re flexible with scheduling and helpful in understanding the crazy world of dental insurance and how to finance what insurance doesn’t cover. When I mentioned the tight schedule we were on for day before wedding prep, they asked what time we HAD to leave by, and when I gave them a time, we were out right on time.

3/5 stars. Dr. King was pleasant and her front staff was great. However, in my opinion, her treatment recommendations are too aggressive. If you are told you need multiple root canals, I recommend a second opinion. While my cavities were deep I was able to get them filled for minimal cost elsewhere.

This is an in network location for Aetna, so those of you with Aetna dental insurance, you should definitely seek this place out. It’s a super modern dentistry that uses the latest in dental tech, whether it’s for crown fabrication or x-rays. Dr. King was super friendly and responsive, answering all my zillion questions, and doing fantastic work treating a horrible cavity I had at my gumline while avoiding having to give me a root canal. Not only is she a great dentist, the rest of the staff was super friendly and cheerful. What really struck me was how they interacted with every patient who came in — it felt like they knew and cared about each one of them. And they are efficient! I never waited more than five minuted before being ushered back for my appointment. For those of you with dentist-phobia, this should be your next stop.

Sooooooo, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Aaaaaand my team lost the playoffs. Aaaaaand I had to make an emergency visit to the dentist when my crown popped off. Sigh. Is this month still redeemable? I daresay yes, yes it is. Thanks to Dr Marisol King, who squeezed me in that morning and reattached that crown with all the delicacy & vigilance that one could hope for. She is so compassionate, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They have all the top technology, and take late appointments (as late as 7pm on some days). All of the checkups I’ve had have been facilitated with such efficiency and thoroughness, I just couldn’t be more pleased. So thrilled to have found Dr King, actually looking forward to my check up next month…Seriously!

I’d like to first let you all know– I am PHYSICALLY TERRIFIED- of the dentist- I walked out of my last dental office because no one informed me there was a new dentist. So, for me to review a dental office says a lot. We came here in the beginning because our daughter needed braces- Doc Holladay(yeah!) was amazing with her and a very straight talker. She had to tough talk our daughter a few times but she made it through with positive encouragement from Doc Holladay! Since I divorced my last dentist and they did so well with the Kid- I thought I’d give them a try. My first apt with Doc King – he actually sat with me and listened to my fears- remember this is a DENTAL OFFICE- he took his time with me. I was still extremely freaked but calm. He explained what was going on and what I needed… Tonight- I saw TANYA- a dental hygienist—- LOVED LOVED LOVED her!! She went through my H&P, asked me questions and took her time. I was again CALM… I wouldn’t say relaxed but there were no white knuckles involved in either visit. When I got tense- Tanya’s soothing voice was able to talk me down. I won’t say I’m looking forward to going to the dentist-EVER- but I look forward to the calm atmosphere of the office and soothing sounds of Tanya’s voice… And Doc Kings humor- he’s a witty one y’all! Give them a try! I would highly recommend them to fearful patients.

Their dentistry was much different than I experienced only 5 or 10 years ago. Everything is very high-tech. They are also really streamlined in their office, so prices for needed work are up front and clearly explained. They show you immediate images of where work is needed and explain possible options available. I had no problems with customer service. I’ve never been a fan of dentistry, but I would recommend this clinic.
