Simply the best. Dr. Kubina and his staff have taken care of my family for many years. He’s cared for my elderly parents as well as my husband and myself. He’s cared for our two children since they were in junior high, and they’re in their 20s today. He’s extremely knowledgeable about dentistry and only recommends what is absolutely necessary. His costs are in line with other dentists in the area, but you can have the confidence that you’re getting the best care available and not being billed for unnecessary procedures. His office personnel are so nice. Wendy has been his front office person from the beginning. She’s so nice and very efficient. His hygienist is so gentle but thorough. Don’t go anywhere else!

We have been going to Dr Kubina for years and we feel he is the best dentist we have ever been to. Additionally his staff is superb, always calls you by name and are professional while making you feel comfortable and welcome. Everyone has the patients’ interest at heart. We have recommended Dr Kubina to many and also know several friends who also are clients.

Craig knows his stuff and you’re definitely in great hands with him as your dental choice.  I recently had a veneer fall off and though I managed to keep most of it, I was pretty sure it would be a lost cause and end up costing me countless hundreds to replace.  I say this because the same exact thing had happened to me before with a different veneer and the dentist I took it to claimed he could not repair it and we had to go through the entire process of getting an entire new one where I did in fact have to spend countless hundreds in order to fix the problem.  Because I kept most of the veneer in this case (as I had done in the previous case), Craig actually (and to my great surprise) managed to construct all of the missing parts of it and make it look like new for just a bit over $100!!  It’s still looking great and is as stable as it ever was before!  He worked a sheer miracle in my opinion.  Craig also took care of two painful cavities by filling them wherein they were very close to the nerve without resorting to chalking them up as expensive root canals (where I’m sure most dentists would have just done the root canals – this is not to say that Craig wouldn’t do the root canal if it wasn’t 100% the best and most necessary solution; he simply gave a really effective solution to my problem that ended up being well within my budget).  I just think he’s a really trustworthy guy when it comes to what he does and that spoke volumes in solving my particular issues – his attention to detail and precision were acutely prevalent as I observed him at work from my patient’s chair.  My first visit was simply him and his assistant putting together an extensive dossier on my entire mouth and I truly feel like he has a truly honest gauge for what is the most effective vs. most affordable solution and can quickly and confidently conclude the best way and the right way to solve whatever the issue it is that you’re having.  If you need to have the work done, trust that what he says is the honest diagnosis.  He’s a legit guy and takes care of business.  Runs a tight ship, yet has a kind heart.  I’ve been through a slew of dentists in my life and it was a breath of fresh air to finally see one that I felt like I could trust to get the job done the right way.  Everything I needed was addressed to perfection and with absolutely zero hassle or waiting time .. I can tell you, dear Yelp reader, that I have found my new dentist from here on out and his name is Craig Kubina! .. Note: I NEVER write yelp reviews, but this was truly an experience worth writing a rave review about as I truly think more people in San Diego should know about Craig if they’re in need of a good dentist.  Thanks.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kubina for some years. He’s the best! The dentist I’d been to before had done a lot of really shoddy work, that Dr. Kubina had to clean up. He made it as comfortable and affordable as possible. He explains everything thoroughly so you understand what needs to be done, and his work is top notch. He’s a perfectionist, and that’s who you want working on your teeth! Dr. Kubina is my dentist for life.

No one looks forward to going to the dentist, but if you go to Craig Kubina then you at least wont dread it. Everyone in that office is an absolute pleasure to be around. A genuine person is hard to find and despite how uncomfortable dental procedures can be, I always leave Kubina’s happier then when I came in because of the genuine smiles, genuine conversation and mutual respect that the patients have for them and they for us. Whether your coming in for a teeth cleaning or something more serious, Dentist Kubina and his staff make it as quick and painless as can be. They are always ready for you when you arrive and make it their mission to not waste your time. They are the definition of professionals and know their field inside and out. You can trust Craig Kubina’s advice. He would never want to put you through anything that isn’t absolutely necessary, but at the same time, he is there to keep your mouth healthy and will be honest with you about the truth of the situation. No one in this office makes you feel bad or guilty for having a cavity, they know we are all human! I can’t recommend this Dental Office enough!! My dentist even gave me a recipe for the best Fettuccine Alfredo ever, can you say that?

Hi! I am a dedicated patient at Dr. Kubina’s office. He is absolutely fantastic. I’ve gone to him for many years and want to continue going as long as I can! Everyone in the office is very personable and refreshing. People laugh when I tell them,”I love going to my dentist!” I recommend Dr. Kubina to all of my friends and family and definitely think you will not regret your decision by becoming a patient in this office!

Dr Kubina has been our family dentist for years. Everyone in the family loves his gentle technique and the staff is always smiling, kind and friendly. Both of my girls love going to the dentist for their 6 months cleaning and even when they have had any cavities they were not afraid at all because of how Dr Kubina makes them feel. He is the very best dentist I have ever been too.

Dr kubina is the best!! I’ve gone to him for years now his whole staff is friendly professional and all around nice good people. He always on good time, and on point. For someone who hates going to the dentist he makes it a very good experience all around, and the office is always clean. There’s a ton of parking in the lot so that’s never a problem either.

Dr. Kubina is a fantastic dentist. I have been to his office about 5 times and he has been awesome every time. I had x-rays, cleanings, and 4 cavities filled. He is ALWAYS on time which is very important to me and his staff is so friendly and efficient. They greet me by name and ask about my new son. I feel very comfortable there and I really appreciate how nice they all are. Having cavities filled is never fun, but Dr. Kubina is fast and gentle. He did a great job numbing me (I felt a small prick but it was not nearly as bad as I’ve has at other dentists) and he worked quickly. I didn’t feel anything while he worked and didn’t have any pain or irritations went I went home. He took care to match the color of my teeth and made sure I was doing OK throughout the procedure. I give this office two thumbs up and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Honestly, I enjoy going to Dr. Kubina’s Office and I can’t rave enough about my positive dental experience. I found him to be gentle, caring, and most importantly pain-free, while providing outstanding quality care.  His staff Wendy, Jen, and Yvonne are polite and friendly, and the office always runs on time. I wouldn’t hesitate referring my family and friends to Dr. Kubina, because he is simply the best!!!

As far as I am concerned, I have found the best dentist and dental office in the world and I will never go any where else. Any time I deal with Dr. Kubina or his office, I feel like I am being treated like a family member. I am a big baby and have never liked going to the dentist but now, I don’t mind. They are all so friendly and make me feel so comfortable. Dr. Kubina walks you through his process and tells you what he is doing as he goes. He is great with the needle as I have never even felt a shot! He always has a big reassuring smile and always makes me feel like he will take good care of me. Wendy is always so friendly and accommodating and always a pleasure to deal with. I live in north county but the 30 minuet drive is well worth it. I love my dentist and will never go any where else.

Dr. Craig Kubina, the super dentist, absolute cordial and professional in ways that you forget that you’re with a dentist getting your teeth worked on…where it can be very discomforting but not here.., not with Dr.Kubina DDS!! My wife had several visits with him; extensive work done to her several over due teeth which were giving her horrific problems for years and no dentist could help. But we were told he is one of the best; a true dental artist with great work ethics and great attitude. After a few visit to get every single one of problem teeth fixed, my wife has never been more at the height of comfort, no pain, no numbness, just all better she can actually chew and eat and drink. And one more important thing is that he is not the type that will tell you you need this done and you need that done just to make extra bucks off of you. He is honest and fair. Truly One rare breed of dentist left these days. I’m confident that you’d be absolutely gratified if you visit him with any dental work you may need done. Shopping for Dentist isn’t like shopping for shoes where it doesn’t hurt and you can always put them back on the shelf. Going to a bad dentist, you not only lose a bus load of money, you lose your teeth and your time..and it sure as shit hurt like hell.

Dr. Kubina nd best dentist I’ve seen in my 23+ years living in San Diego! He and his staff has always delivered top-notch dental treatment, both preventative and corrective, to me and my wife. As Military Veterans and regular working stiffs, we can whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Kubina for all the top-notch dental needs you and your family deserve.

I have been going to Dr Kubina’s for quite sometime now. He is very caring about his patients, and I always have the #1 best quality care given. He has the best people working for him too, always happy and smiling. They make you feel at ease when you first walk in. I have known Wendy as long as I have been going there and she’s just awesome. Let me state that I have had a bad experience with a dentist in the past, so I do not like going to the dentist, but Dr Kubina and his entire staff are wonderful. His dentistry is painless and he always makes you feel as comfortable as possible.Wendy has worked with him for many years and is always so helpful if you need to be seen right away. Craig and his staff are great at dentistry. Having seen many dental professionals as a kid born with a cleft lip and pallet I can honestly say that Craig and his staff are not only professionals but friendly and kind as well. Dr. Kubina and his staff is hands down, the very best in the industry. He was recommended by a very good friend about 10 years ago. I have always been kind of a chicken when it comes to the dentist and my husband was so miserable and afraid of the dentist that he had not gone in years. All of those feelings changed after my very first visit. My first encounter was with Wendy. I am not completely clear on Wendy’s official position but lets just say, she knows absolutely everything. She also has the whitest teeth I have ever seen which I find very motivating. All of my visits with Dr. Kubina are nothing but comfortable. He is very descriptive regarding what he is doing and is very gentle. I don’t know why I get so worked up because I have never even so much as felt a shot or the slightest bit of discomfort. He is conservative when it comes to MY money but at the same time, provides the highest level of care. He is always willing to explain in great detail, make me as comfortable as possible and will work through the most difficult dental situations. I have had a couple of doozies for sure! I trust him 100% and very highly recommend him to all of my family and friends. I live in North County but have no problem making the 45 minuet drive to see him for all my dental needs. I give him 5 stars as well as the entire staff, the location, office, cleanliness, fee’s, and the over all care provided to me and my entire family. My son & I have been seeing Dr. Kubina for 9 years.  I have referred several family and friends and they have been nothing but pleased.  The staff is very friendly & helpful.  Dr. Kubina is up to date with the latest advances in dentistry.  I have also been very happy with the specialists he sent me to for my son’s wisdom teeth.  I also had invisalign & teeth whitening at this office and am very happy with my results.

This is my first review on yelp as I just don’t care to put forth the effort, but, after reading the review posted on 10/17/2013 I just had to step up.  Dr. Kubina has been taking care of my son, daughter, wife, mother, and me for the past nine years and we couldn’t be happier with the treatment we have received in that time.  Jasmine L. is so far off base in her assessment of his office, it’s ridiculous.  I am a golf instructor that deals with the general public and can tell you that no matter what profession you’re in, there are people in this world that are not right in the head and you cannot make happy.  I can surmise that this is the case here and with Darcie.  My family has received nothing but the best treatment as my son saw a pediatric dentist and was over diagnosed only to have Dr. Kubina perform what was really necessary which was much less than the pediatric dentist recommended.  He has been nothing but honest, humble, patient, forthright, and always a pleasure to work with (and no ego!).  Nice person all the way around who actually cares about the work he provides and how people in his office are treated.  My mother and I have been patients in the office since I was a child and I am now 45.  The care that has been passed on from Dr. Mosley to Dr. Weckerly to Dr. Kubina has been consistent and that of a family oriented office.  If anyone out there can read between the lines they will pay attention to any of the other 5 star reviews and recognize the people on this site that are out for blood and vengeance as they have attitude problems in life that go beyond trying to slander someone with a bad review.  Dr. Kubina is a hard worker who cares about the value of the treatment he provides and he and the staff stand behind it 100%

I was introduced to Dr Kubina and his staff a few years ago and must say if I have to see a dentist i will always choose this practice.  Wendy always has a smile and a solution and Dr.Kubina is gentle and honest.  Did I mention my irrational fear of the dentist…. it has not gone away but he is quick to reassure me and calm my nerves

Have you ever loved going to the dentist? Probably not. After recently moving from Los Angeles, I was faced with the endeavor to find a new dentist. Yelp led the way. After reading Dr. Kubina’s reviews, I felt it was worth a try. Wendy, the office manager was friendly and professional. She made me feel like I’d been coming to the office for years. I was dreading getting my cleaning that day until Yvonne, the dental hygienist, made me feel at ease. Now when I tell you it was the best teeth cleaning I’ve ever gotten, I am not lying. With a gentle but effective touch, Yvonne proceeded to clean my teeth better than they’ve ever been cleaned before. Finally, I met with Dr. Kubina and his assistant Jennifer. Jennifer promptly sat me in the adjacent room and with a friendly smile, then notified me the Dr. would be right in. After Dr. Kubina introduced himself, we had a pleasant discussion about my dental history, some of his concerns, and some ways I could help with my own dental care. Never did I feel pressure or like I was being sold on any treatment. I look forward to going to Dr. Kubina for years to come.

I’ve now been to Dr. Kubina’s office for an evaluation, 2 routine cleanings and 1 procedure and really love everything about the office. Dr. Kubina was a recommendation from a friend and he hasn’t disappointed. Everyone in the office is very friendly, very helpful, and is genuinely nice. My evaluation and both of my cleanings started exactly on time. The procedure started about 10 minutes late, but in that time 4 members of the staff, including Dr. Kubina, came to the waiting room to apologize for the delay. Everyone seemed to feel very badly about making me wait even though the delay was far less than what seems to be the norm at other doctor’s offices. The evaluation was everything that I hoped it would be. Dr. Kubina was friendly, took plenty of time to get to know me and as much time as needed to ensure that all of my questions were answered, and gave his opinions and recommendations when needed while making it clear that they were exactly that and that I was perfectly free to opt not to follow them. I felt no pressure whatsoever and was put very much at ease. Both cleanings were quick, friendly and uneventful, and the procedure went exceptionally well, exceeding even my highest expectations. I’m not easy to please but Dr. Kubina’s office has done so and then some. As long as I’m in San Diego and Dr. Kubina is practicing, he’ll be my choice for a dentist.
