In 1986, when it came time to schedule my regular teeth cleaning, I found that two new dentists, who happened to be married, had moved into my retired dentist’s office. Since it was convenient, I decided to take a chance and schedule an appointment. Thirty-one years later, after an untold number of cleanings, fillings, crowns and even braces, I would never consider going to any other dental practice. Drs. Montes and Romero, and their staff, are not only highly skilled, they use the latest technology and techniques in dental treatment. As an added bonus, they are the nicest people you would ever want to know. My family and I consider them dear friends and we readily recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist. Sunny Arford

Let me start by saying I came across them through a referral. I drove an hour fifteen minutes just to get a second opinion from this doctor. I’m currently going through chemo. The staff n the doctor made me feel so comfortable with my fear let me repeat myself FEAR of dentist. He was able to address my issue and advise me on what’s best for me at the moment. N treated me. Won’t make a long story about it. I HIGHLY   recommend them. Highly…. I am. So glad n thankful I got a second opinion regarding a tooth extraction. Thank you sincerely.

They let me listen to some really good music so I wasn’t focusing on the drilling. He also helps veterans who may not be able to afford certain kinds of dental procedures. A few years ago I was battling cancer. The chemo and radiation treatments made me weak. I was skinny and balding. I collapsed one Friday night and my front tooth fell out. I didn’t realize that I’d been grinding my teeth and that loosened it. I called my cousin and she took me the next morning to Dr. Montes’s office. He doesn’t come out on Saturdays, but he made an exception for me out of compassion. He gave me a tooth that matched the size, color, and shape of the others exactly. You would never know the difference. I have the most beautiful smile now, thanks to him. I don’t believe he even charged me, and the quality of his work was excellent. It was obvious to me that he’s not motivated out of money, but out of the goodness of his heart. He loves what he does. I still go to him every six months because I can’t imagine another dentist providing such outstanding care, and for all the right reasons.

I first met Dr. Jorge Montes at a BNI in Burbank Spring of 2010. I knew I needed a check up and scheduled for the week after meeting him. Both he and Dr. Romero and Staff were all friendly patient and kind. Plus, they educated me on how to be better at brushing and flossing my teeth–no doubt it has saved me from added dental work. In spring of 2011 I had a friend Tim who had an abscessed tooth on a Sunday and Dr. Montes was able to prescribe a temporary pain relief until we were able to bring him in. Even though they had plenty of other patients they were able to schedule Tim in. Dr. Montes and Dr. Romero worked with Tim on his financial arrangements (as an aside, I am part of an Entrepreneurial business club, with my now good friend, Michal Mael and baby twins. I am glad to see they are all in your care). I left California in early Summer 2012 or I would have continued my care.

Dr. Montes and all the staff are kind loving family style practice. They know my name and they remember even my baby twins names!!! They always take there time.. they are in no rush and Mr. Montes is meticulous with his work!!! He takes the time to teach you and to know what your needs are… He spent 2 hours with me on my first visit which is unheard of…teaching me about my teeth and how to take care of them better. I have been a loyal patient ever since. He help me with my dental work when I was pregnant, and just now my crown fell out at 10pm and I live very close to the office…Both Dr. Montes and Dr. Romero came and did a home call knowing I could not come in because of my twins were sleeping. I am blessed to know such amazing people and I trust both of them with my dentistry and my twins for there future dentistry. Thanks Dr. Montes I am grateful to know you… I love coming to see the gang in the office…they all have a great attitude and you can feel the great energy you all have.

Dr. Montes and Dr. Romero are the best dentists by far! They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They take the time to explain what you need and why you need it. If you’re looking for a beautiful and healthy smile, go to them and you’ll be in great hands.

I went to Dr. Montes for a second opinion, best choice ever! His staff is professional & friendly, the office & exam areas are clean, well cared for. My 2 favorite dentist in the whole world! Dr Montes & Dr Romero. These two have made miracles in dentistry. I can’t say enough about them. They are very dear to me. I have been going here for almost 15 years and they have treated my teeth and I very well. I take very good care of my teeth to start with but they keep them looking bright and shiny. The office is very clean the staff is professional. The machines & computers they used are state of the art. Both dentist are well versed in their field of business. If you are having pain they will break the details about your pain down and get you a solution. They are gentle with you too. They are honest and won’t try to take your or the insurance money for no reason. I will continue to go here for as long as they are still around. For starters the staff is wonderful, helpful and are real people! They are efficient and also good company! (A,R,C) Dr.Romero is really kind and Dr. Montes is very down to earth and does a great job of ensuring that the patient is comfortable! I would truly recommend this office for all your dental needs they’ll take care of you and won’t force you to take out teeth or do other things you’re not comfortable with.  Overall, it’s a great dental office and you won’t regret it guys!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Montes and Dr. Romero for many years. They both are the most caring, passionate, honest, down-to-earth and dedicated people in dentistry. They are the Dental Dream Team! Not to mention, they will go above and beyond the call of duty to help clients. Years ago, I was in a freak diving accident. I chipped one of my front teeth on the bottom of the pool. In a panic, I called Dr. Montes and Dr. Romero and went straight to the office. Luckily I was able to recover the broken piece and they were able to reattach, repair and SAVE my tooth. Fast forward 11 years later… in another “freak accident” at a restaurant with my family, the chip gave out and broke off again. Completely embarrassed and frantic, I called Dr. Montes. Long story short, he once again was able to reattach, repair and save the day. Then and now, my tooth looks as if the chip never even happened! Especially being one of my front teeth; you absolutely cannot even tell I had any damage. Thanks to Dr. Montes’ meticulous eye and perfectionism. I am forever grateful to have them as my dentists and you will too!

To all who have a fear of dentists, don’t waste your nervous energy. Just come on in to the dental office of Drs. Montes and Romero, sit it in the comfy chair and relax. Dr. Montes has the most gentle, skilled hands I have ever experienced from a dentist. He has done some work on my teeth that has had the potential for being really uncomfortable, and even painful. However, in the hands of Dr. Montes, I was totally surprised that he was done and maybe I just missed that “painful” part.  Even though a dentist uses the latest in technology and highest quality tools and materials, it’s the hands doing the job, and the kindness and calm demeanor of Dr. Montes that have made all the difference between fear and comfort for me. On a couple of very rare occasions when I had barely begun to feel a little discomfort (the big baby that I am), all I had to do was raise my hand a little and he stopped and did whatever needed to be done to make me comfortable and relaxed again.
In the past, I’ve had some very horrible experiences with dentists. So bad were my experiences, I had become conditioned to being so scared and nervous that I would actually lose my appetite for days before my appointment. Then when I’d finally get into the chair, I would shake nervously, tense up and sweat like a hog throughout the entire procedure; and I had to go to the bathroom really bad. Not anymore. Dr. Montes has helped me overcome this anxiety over the 30 years that I have been under his care. In fact, I have become so comfortable with him that I actually enjoy spending that time with him, just as I would with my best friend. So don’t be afraid. You couldn’t be in more kind, gentle, skilled and competent hands; and who knows, you just might make a new friend.

Dr. Montes and his staff were beyond wonderful. I was given an in depth consultation after having full mouth x-rays and pictures taken by Ania. Dr. Montes then sat with me for an extended amount of time and discussed my treatment. I have never had this wonderful of an experience at the dentist. I can’t wait to get started. Oh and Cilibet (sp?) at the front desk is also wonderful. I’m so grateful I was referred to this office.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Montes and Dr Romero for…oh my gosh, decades???  I knew he was honest when on an early visit he didn’t suggest the multi-thousand dollar treatment that several doctors had recommended, instead coming up with a simple fix that solved the problem AND DIDN’T EVEN CHARGE because it only took him a few minutes with a drill.  I was floored.  And like an honest car mechanic, once you find one, you stick with him forever.  So I’ve gone nowhere else and am always happy with their service and they feel like old friends.  I guess they ARE old friends! One more interesting note — visit his office, and just inside the front door (at the base of the long staircase) he has a framed newspaper front page on the North Hollywood shootout.  You may recall or have heard of this — in 1997, some nuts with assault weapons and body armor robbed a Bank of America, and an hour long gunfight erupted.  It was crazy, they even made a TV movie about it.  This was the B of A right across the way from Dr. Montes’ office (and no, it’s not a horrible dangerous area!)  And a wounded police officer limped away from the fight and collapsed, and Dr Montes came out of his office, stepping out into the firefight, and rescued the man, brought him up to his dental chair and saved his life with emergency medical care.  That tells you a lot about Dr. Montes — the kind of guy who wouldn’t think twice about going out into a war zone with bullets whizzing everywhere just so he could help someone who was critically injured.  And he’s so matter-of-fact about it, it’s just what he does, it’s just what an ethical human being does for his fellow man.  A hero and a gem, I’m telling you!

After searching for a dentist for a while I finally found one that I can trust and they even exceeded my expectations. From the doctor to the staff are all AMAZING and give you great service! They also offer a unique cleaning service recommended by Dr. Montes. I decided to try it out anad I never felt the sensation after dental cleaning like this.

Dr. Montes was the dentist of my boyfriend. Since he has always had a good experience with their services, I decided to try out their services as well. Celibeth, the office manager, is good company. She asks how her clients have been and she follows up and reminds clients of their schedule so they would not miss their time. Celibeth is also a reason why I decided to try the dental office of Dr. Montes. Anyway, the first service that I had was crown filling. It is an outpatient procedure and took about 2 hours including anesthesia. with retainers. One thing that they do need to improve on was the parking. Jake and I always have a hard time looking for a good parking area since they often have a lot of clients and their office is near town. I would suggest that you go there 30 minutes before your schedule so you would not miss your time. Finally, I think if you really want good service and a permanent dentist who knows your needs and your teeth maintenance, you should go to Dr. Montes and his team will take care of you.

I love coming here, and that’s HUGE because I have never had a good dental visit. I’ve been to many and none can compare. They really care about you here. All of the staff are wonderful, warm and friendly as well. Drs. Montes and Romero are very easy to communicate with. They’re both down to earth and talk to you like a real person. They truly listen to your needs and share their life stories as well. Just like you’re family. I love that!

Dr. Montes has made it possible for me to be a productive member of society again. He has my undying gratitude for all his work and care. He has gone above and beyond to help me smile again. He will never be able to understand how he has helped me be able to live. I will never be able to thank him for stepping outside the box and being up to date on new technologies as well as implementing them into his office. For having the best staff that is now my 2nd family as they work as a superstar team. Dr. Romero has been so helpful. I honestly love , recommend, and suggest getting seen by the worlds best detist’s!!! 5 stars.

Dr. Montes and Romero are two of the most talented dentists in Los Angeles. Seriously. I’m someone who really pays attention to a healthcare professional’s educational background, I want to make sure that who I see has received the very best training and not only knows what they’re doing, but has done many successful procedures of what I’m having done. Dr. Montes and Romero both graduated from UCSF, one of the top dental schools in the nation, meaning they were part of only 4.6% of applicants accepted. That’s a big deal, especially if I’m looking for someone to drill holes in my mouth and pull teeth. The office staff is warm and welcoming and seem genuinely happy to be there. Dr. Montes likes to tell funny jokes and cool stories. Dr Romero is gentle and kind; and the entire staff speaks Spanish!  The office is clean and nicely decorated inside. I really like that I get texts about when my appointments are, I’m someone who writes down appointment times but they somehow always get lost, then I end up having to call the place to ask when my appointment is. I have just finished my invisible braces Invisalign Express treatment. I had them on for about 3 months and I am very happy with my results. I had braces in high school, but like an irresponsible teenager, I lost my retainers and my teeth moved back. Attached are pictures of my teeth before and after my Invisalign treatment. I’ve had many cleanings, 2 sets of braces, and soon removal of my wisdom teeth with Dr. Montes and Romero, they will be my dentists for life! Two wholesome, kind-hearted dentists who are generous and have a passion for teeth! Give your teeth some love and schedule an appointment.

I used to go to a dentist in Pasadena.  I know it is a drive to go to North Hollywood, however, it is worth every drop of gasoline. He is extremely thorough; in 50+ years, no one had ever showed me the EXACT way of caring for my teeth (yes.. even how to hold the brush and how to brush EACH tooth).  I strongly recommend both Jorge and Teresa; they are worth any drive.
