This office is the best!  Everyone was friendly and helpful.  They listen to you and don’t try to sell you anything at all.  They explain to you what they are going to do and very gentle when they work in your mouth.  I’m usually leery of new dentists and was very pleased with the service and I recommend this office to anyone who needs a new dental office and dentist.

My experience with these folk was extremely positive. I went there for a second opinion for some extensive work prescribed by a different dentist. They were very thorough in explaining everything and confirming the diagnosis. Due to insurance differences, they advised I get the work done by my previous dentist as it needed to be done soon. They were very professional and I was impressed in their concern for the patient and not the profit.

Modern updated practice. Everyone was so nice and thorough with explanations in terminology you could understand. Watched animal planet during the cleaning. They do a Great job at making it feel like you aren’t at the dentist. Found my new dentist.

I’ve been going to dentists for about 77 of my 82 years, but, until I began seeing Dr. Wood a number of years ago, never looked forward to an appointment. His staff is welcoming, waiting time is minimal and I am very comfortable with the dental care he provides.  I’ve recommended him to my three family members and they are  equally pleased with the care and level of services he and his staff provide.  Others in business would be well served to follow his example.

From the first contact I had with them they have provided excellent service. From the phone call to set up and unfortunately to reschedule my initial appointment they were extremely helpful. Kelly, the dental hygienist was just as excellent providing great guidance and information as she went through the process. Doctor G was just as amazing. Very clear on a few ways forward with my dental plan. I didn’t feel he was rushed. He spent time explaining what was going on and why he was recommending certain dental plans. Finally Michelle at the front desk. She is amazing. She spent time to explain what options are available. Really impressed me she had what the insurance company would cover on the proposed plan Doctor G plan. If you are looking for a local dentist I highly recommend Cypress Family Dentistry on Johns Island.

As someone that gets very anxious when going to the dentist, Dr. Wood really put me at ease. He cared about my concerns. Answered all of my questions and made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. The facility is very clean and their technology is very up to date and catered to patient comfort. On top of it all, every interaction I had with the rest of the staff was positive and welcoming as well. My experience has definitely helped take away some of my “dentist anxiety”.

Let me start by saying I hate going to the dentist. I would rather give birth. For that reason, I had neglected my teeth for 10 years  was c. Until I started getting extreme pain in one of my teeth and all the way up my jaw. I knew I had to go. My daughters both suggested I go to their dentist. The staff was nice and got me in to see him the very next day. Dr. Wood was great. He put me at ease, took care of the problem and managed to not chastise me too much for my irresponsible dental history. I ended up needing a root canal and he even called me later that night to see how I was. I definitely recommend Cypress Family Dental and Dr. Wood. Great dentist and the personal touch of checking in on me after is rare and made the experience that much better.

I had a great all around experience at Cypress Family Dental! Setting up the appointment was easy, the staff were friendly, everything was on-time and the cleaning experience was great. They made sure to answer all of my questions and I felt great about the information they provided. I would highly recommend this dentist office to anyone!

I would rate this place a 10! I’ve been to numerous dentist and I must say my experience at Cypress was phenomenal. Dr G took his time explaining everything to me and answered all my questions. The front desk staff answered all my questions and the cleaning was also phenomenal. I’m hard to please but the staff here was great!

I have been afraid of the dentist since I was young due to a couple of bad experiences that I have had with previous dentists. I must admit that I am excited that I have found a dentist office that really shows compassion. The whole entire Staff displays total professionalism and you can tell they really love what they do. I recommend anyone to Cypress Family Dental because they really treat you like family. Thank you Guys with All my heart for finally taking my fear away. Looking forward to all of my upcoming visits.

For anyone who is fearful of dentists because of pain or other issues, you won’t have to worry about Dr. Don Wood. He is the most gentle dentist I have ever been to (and I have been to many; I even worked for one)! He is gentle, honest, and lets you know before he starts the work what the fees will be. He truly cares about his patient’s comfort and peace of mind (billing). My husband just went to him the other day for the first time and he said that it was the first time that he didn’t feel anything when he was numbed. That says a lot. I am really glad I found Dr. Wood and would highly recommend him to anyone! As a bonus, he give out chocolate chip cookies when you leave!

I have had the most amazing experiences at the Cypress Dental office. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. I had long standing dental problems that they were able to solve and at such an affordable price. At no point did they judge me for my dental issues that I have ignored for years! They were kind, sympathetic and treated me with such respect! I have recommended this practice to all my friends and neighbors.

I can’t think of anything in life I despise more than having my teeth cleaned. It’s painful, uncomfortable, and time consuming. I won’t even mention my distaste for x-rays. If you also dislike these things GO TO CYPRESS FAMILY DENTAL. Let this be the review that persuades you. My family has been going for a little over two years and I have NEVER had a better experience at a dental office. I have never had the same person clean my teeth and every single one of them have been extremely gentle and considerate. They’re as steady as a brain surgeon. Dr. White is always timely and professional. I really appreciate that I don’t spend half my day at their office. I’m usually in and out in 30 to 45 minutes. We’re moving soon which puts them pretty far away from our new home but I’ve already decided I’ll happily make the drive every 6 months for their exceptional work. They’re phenomenal

Called Cypress because of tooth pressure and jaw pain. They got me in the same day. Professional, friendly and attentive. Dr. G and all of the staff made me feel comfortable. As good as a dental visit can be

Been going to Cypress Family Dental for many, many years. I would never go anywhere else for my dental needs. Great people. Extremely nice. Great work and state of the art equipment. Is really a family atmosphere. And the best part is……THEY GIVE YOU THE BEST HOMEMADE COOKIES WHEN YOU LEAVE. WOW!!!!! I highly recommend Cypress Family Dental. Let’s face it. No one likes going to the dentist RIGHT? But ever time I leave I say to myself…gee why was I dreading that!! Everyone who works there is so friendly and accommodating. You looking for a dentist. Look no further. Nicest bunch of people and great dental work.

I highly recommend this practice. I was visiting from out of town and needed to see a dentist for a suddenly broken tooth. Cypress fit me in first thing in the morning, diagnosed my problem (using impressive technology), and walked me through the possible remedies, which all pointed to a crown. They researched area practices that did same-day crowns, called around, and made an appointment for me to be seen immediately. By lunchtime, I was all fixed. Wow! Thanks to Dr. G and his team!

I’ve been coming to this dentist for over twenty years! He has always been courteous, professional, and kind. He treats my entire family. Not just my kids and wife, but my siblings too. The front office staff is amazing, the hygienists are amazing, the equipment is amazing. They are great with kids, older people and everything in between. I could not recommend them more. If you’re looking for a dentist, or just want to try out a new one, this is the one to measure all others by.

I’ve been coming to see Dr. Wood and his staff for almost 15 years. I feel that I’m cared for like a loved family member by everyone; I notice that many of his staff have been with him for all the time I’ve been going to him. Dr. Wood does good work; I have never had any problems with his treatments. He has reliable systems in place; appointments are started and finished on time; everyone is very skilled in their tasks, and he uses current and proven technology and equipment to make the treatments very easy on the patients…cost effective, too. Dr. Wood pays attention to details. Today, I had a treatment and didn’t even feel the needle for the anesthetic, nor the anesthetic being injected. Cypress Family Dental know how to treat their patients. Dr. Wood is excellent and gives you personal attention unlike most other dentist these days. They are super friendly and most of all honest. After completing my first visit to Cypress Family Dental, I can say it was the best medical visit I’ve ever had. As a former medical health care professional, I have not seen such a caring, efficient staff since my time at the Mayo Clinic. Every single staff member from the front desk to Dr. Gioche was very welcoming. Dr. Gioche has an amazing bedside manner and asked me if I had questions multiple times. He took the time to explain everything in detail. I will be a patient of Cypress Family Dental as long as I’m living in the Charleston area. Thank you to the whole staff for caring about each patient that walks through your doors!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Wood, Jr’s practice for 35 years now – and have never had an unsatisfactory experience.  I’ve gone to them for cleanings, fillings and root canals.  The front desk is always upbeat and fun to visit with before I head in, I’ve never had to wait beyond a few minutes to be taken in; the hygienists are friendly, efficient and thorough; Dr Wood is on the spot when we’re ready for him to do his check.  After my root canal, I received a call to check on my progress.  Always a pleasant experience, and for a dental office, that’s saying something!!
