We moved to Cypress (…)this year. My daughters wanted a dentist that does braces and I wanted a family dentist that is kind and gentle and has strong family values. We got all that and more! The hygienist did the most thorough job I have ever had done and I am very happy with how she cleaned my teeth, since it did not hurt. My daughters loved their first appointment and teeth cleaning so much, that we have made Cypress Family Dental our summer hang-out. They just had the consultation for braces and couldn’t be more excited to be getting braces soon. The atmosphere is a very small town at this dentist and, even after many appointments this summer, we never had to wait for treatment. Fast, thorough, kind, family orientated, local and exceptional. Excellent Dentistry! We couldn’t be more pleased and the free cookies are a bonus.

I had a lot of bad dental experiences growing up that made me avoid the dentist office altogether.  I wish I would have found Dr. Wood a long time ago.  The office staff is very welcoming and does not make you feel ashamed of the condition of your teeth.  Dr. Wood has a calming presence that makes you feel comfortable from the very start. Thank you very much for the past, present, and future dental work that I have needed for so long.

I’ve been going to Dr. Wood for over 40 years. Like everyone says, great service, and any major work is mostly pain-free. If you are looking for a dentist, you should definitely give him a try. For life long family dental care you won’t find a better dentist.

Just left after my first visit. The entire staff, from reception to hygienist to Dr. Wood himself were spectacularly professional and extremely friendly. Everyone put me right at ease. I’m glad I chose this practice.

Dr. Wood and his staff are amazing!!!! I have never been to a dentist office that I enjoyed! Every visit I was on time sitting in the chair and one of his very helpful staff was informing me on what we are doing that particular day. I would highly recommend Dr. Wood to anyone. Simply Amazing!!! And you get a cookie after. what could be better!

(…) Dr. Woods knew exactly what to say in order to calm my nerves and fears. He reviewed my x-rays with me and explained what my options were step by step in simplistic terms.  He highly recommended I have a root canal done on my lower molar. Of course, my anxiety began to set in, but he quickly reassured me that the procedure would be painless.  After, he was done, I could not believe, I did not feel any pain whatsoever, it was magical.  All I have left to say is that he is a highly experienced and skilled dentist and look forward to my next visit.

My brother and I have been coming here since middle school. Dr. Wood is the reason my smile looks the way it does!  I stopped going to the dentist for years because I no longer had insurance. Once I came back, it was like I never left! and it had been about 6 years! Everyone remembered me and asked about my brother because they remembered him too!
I used to be one of those people that were afraid of going to the dentist but Dr. Wood and all the girls in the office are so sweet that it’s not scary at all! They even bake fresh cookies in the office for you to take after your visit!

I have been seeing Doctor Wood III since I was 8 years old.  I am now 55 and I travel from the Inland empire just to go to his office!  When I obtained my first teaching job, I had coverage that would not allow me to see Dr. Wood.  The experience I had with the other dentist left no doubt that I would NEVER go to another dentist.  The staff and his professionalism is beyond words! I love my dentist and Melissa my hygienist! To me it’s worth the one hour drive to see them.

I loveeeee this place!! I’ve been going here since I was a kid! Everyone is so kind and Dr. Wood is the greatest dentist alive. I live 30 miles away now but I still come to this office because I love it so much..and I love cookies!!!

Always a great experience at Cypress Family Dental. Dr. Wood is the only dentist I’ve ever had who goes out of his way to make any procedure he’s doing as minimally painful as possible. I remember the first time going and he had to inject me with novocaine and I was all braced for the needle (since previous dentists would just jam it in there) and it was done before I even realized it. I didn’t even know it happened. From that point forward I was determined to remain a patient as long as I lived somewhat in proximity. Wound up moving to San Diego but still made the trip north for visits – it was totally worth it. Actually enjoyed visiting the dentist for once in my life. It’s hard to find excellent service these days and this practice is well worth going to. Everybody is super-friendly and flexible and treats their customers like family. Ten stars (…).

Dr. Wood, his hygienists, and his staff are FANTASTIC.  Like most people, I always hated going to the dentist.  However, I actually LOOK FORWARD to going now because I leave there without pain and feeling like I just spent time with a few friends.  Dr. Wood and Melissa Darby (his amazing hygenist) are highly knowledgeable and caring about the well-being of each patient.  I believe I’m qualified to say this because about 8 of my family members are also his patients.  I’ve referred friends to him, too, and each of them has sent me a “thank you” message about how impressed they were with their visit.  
I was born with bad teeth and have had to have a great deal of work done by previous dentists and him.  Hands down, Dr. Wood and everyone who works in that office is THE BEST.  As soon as I walk in, I get warm fuzzies because the secretaries are SOOOO SWEET and funny.  God bless that office!

(…) I just got my top two wisdom teeth extracted and I feel perfectly fine like nothing happened at all!  For those with chronic anxiety, Dr. Wood is your guy!  I was dreading this for a while and with having chronic anxiety and panic attacks it tends to intensify things like this.  The moment I walked in my heart raced and my breathing started to get uncontrollable and tears were welling in my eyes.  Dr. Wood noticed my panic immediately and he was very patient and understanding of my fears.  He numbed the area and I kid you not I was out in 30 minutes.  I feel perfectly fine.  No pain, no soarness and I haven’t felt the need to take anything for pain.  Dr. Wood and his assistant were very knowledgeable and patient with me.  They informed me on everything I needed to know.  Absolutely amazing!  Thank you so much!  100% awesome!

I’m so happy to have found this awesome dentist with an awesome staff. I am completely confident in the doctor’s skill level, and completely comfortable relying on him to work on me without allowing me to experience unnecessary pain. When he says, “This won’t hurt you, ” I believe him. I have referred several friends who are equally satisfied. In addition to having a good relationship with the dentist, being able to relate with the office staff is equally important to me. From the hygienist to the dental assistants to the front desk, they’re all top-notch.

This is by far the best dental office I’ve been too in the past 55 years in So. Cal. Dr. Wood is beyond professional and competent and his staff is by far the most efficient, friendly, and professional group I’ve encountered as well. Another amazing feature is that they understand the value of time for their patients and don’t keep you waiting in the waiting room, nor in the chair. I would highly recommend this office and so grateful my family and I found them. Takes all the “pain” out of dentistry.

(…) Dr. Wood is everything that my previous dentist was not… kind, professional and caring.  He takes time to listen and help in any way he can and his staff is wonderful as well. After a year under his care I needed another crown and this time the procedure was wonderful! Because of my very positive experiences, I recently referred my elderly father to Dr. Wood’s office for help in adjusting the fit of a dental plate that his recently retired dentist made for him.  Again Dr. Wood listened to my dad and kept working with him to get an optimal, pain-free fit.  Needless to say, he was beyond pleased with the care he received there as well. I am so grateful to have a dentist that I can trust again.

Dr. Wood and his staff are amazing and caring. They really go above and beyond for their patients. I came to him because of my sleep apnea and he fitted me for an oral appliance. He was attentive and treated me more than just a patient. I also transferred to them for my cleaning. I have never gotten a more thorough clean than I just did with them. They really know what they are doing. It’s not just business here. I definitely feel welcomed and I highly recommend them. The cookies they give you at the end is a huge plus too!

After over 30 years – this is still my dental practice of choice!! From the office staff to techs to the doctor: personable, efficient, listening. No hesitation, at all, to put my name on a recommendation for Dr Wood & company!!

Came to Cypress Family Dental a year ago for my Sleep Apnea Device. No more snoring!  Dr Woods and his staff did a great job fitting me for this oral appliance. Better yet, they were there to support me when I needed some adjustments later on. Melody and the front office staff couldn’t have been more accommodating to schedule me in. Easy to recommend.

Today was my initial visit to Dr. Woods. He did a very thorough exam. I have no major problems but we discussed possible future issues. He spent time explaining things to me and I didn’t feel rushed when asking questions. His staff was friendly and helpful. Although I have had only one, based on today, I fully expect that my future visits will warrant a 5 star rating! (…)

(…) Dr. Wood was able to take his time and walk me through all the issues I am experiencing until I decided to go for it and begin my treatment. Fast forward a few months and he did a couple fillings, a root canal and a crown placement. Not only were these done swiftly and well, but I felt almost zero pain or soreness afterward. His office staff are amazing, as well – the temporary crown was amazingly constructed because he only employs team members with great experience and strong academic backgrounds, etc. Melody and Denise in the front are so helpful, and work with me to help me get the maximum insurance benefits before any out of pocket costs begin to accrue. Not to mention they are so sweet and kind. I recently ran into the Dean of Students of my undergrad university there, who also raves about it, and have referred my sister there. Needless to say, she loved the entire experience from Dr. Wood spending time to help curate a treatment plan that’s right for her, to the warm cookies she received on her way out.
I can’t recommend Dr. Wood enough, he’s truly a veteran in the field and the coolest dentist ever.
